I find this story very interesting. Jake’s pictures of some homeless encampments shows many CODE violations. When we can’t enforce those violations with fines because they have no money they turn to the ones that do. Another run away freight train policy gone wild. I think we should form a committee that fines these stupid public officials for being wasteful and crooked.
I see this as being a short trip to the county fining their way into ownership of private property. Ending with Fire sale prices/transfers to select groups.
Sounds like she's tired of getting her shoes dirty and wants to go after people from the comfort of the office instead of visits to hoarding type situations. Way over stepping the job.
I think that you have a solid grasp at what is going on. Of course, it is FAR safer for this out-of-control power mad bureaucrat to hide under her desk and send others out to face the angry public who are becoming more & more outraged by the abusive county government! When in doubt, play it safe and send others out to kick the property owners... I really don't think that these criminals in government have the slightest clue about the hornets' nest that they are SO recklessly screwing with~! Americans as a people are VERY peaceful and they take FAR more abuse than they often should, but there is a definite end to that at some point and it won't be pretty... So, for all you street-corner protesters out there waving your signs and calling folks on the right "fascists," here's the definition of the word: "An authoritarian and nationalistic system of government and social organization; extremely authoritarian, intolerant, or oppressive ideas or behavior." Would Ms. Harvey's attitude and actions not fit this definition to a "T"? I expect to see you protesting her vigorously soon ...

CODE ENFORCEMENT is required to provide written documents that detail the violations and ways for the responsible party to address them (Example…. Mossquatch’s owners “I am unaware of any attempts made by Clallam County…to contact myself or my family regarding the expired CUP and a potential site visit by Clallam County staff.”
According to their website, below, they did not follow their own policy, but instead came in with both guns blazing. Overkill and overwaste of money and resources IMO

THE OFFICER IS THEN REQUIRED TO PROVIDE WRITTEN DOCUMENTS THAT DETAIL THE VIOLATION AND WAYS FOR THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY TO ADDRESS THEM. Code Enforcement Officers will always seek voluntary compliance from a property owner or responsible party BEFORE seeking enforcement action.

It is sad to see that Clallam County has such a despicable loathsome government, but there is hope. As the usual flow of funds from the Federal level is being as highly scrutinized and restricted as it is today, I expect that the existing criminals in government will continue to search for new more evil draconian ways of extorting more & more money from the good folks of Clallam County! That is an Ironic, yet foreseeable outcome when criminals are cut off of their usual criminal racketeering norm. Of course, these criminals in government can't admit that their backdoor Federal fund flow has been reduced and, in some cases, eliminated, because they don't want folks to realize what they have been doing, so the complaints about Inflation and rising costs will be fourth coming. We sure won't hear about the old "government skim" that has been going on~! Ha! Nor will we hear any acknowledgement that the good folks of Clallam County are REALLY feeling the cost of Inflation and rising costs across the board, as these criminals in government conspire to milk us and come up with even more brutal unconstitutional extortions, as they continue to threaten our property, money, freedom and rights! This evil communistic corporate sham of a government sure won't be easy for you to navigate my friend, as I do expect that IF this upcoming election is legitimate and IF it is held on schedule, you will win! In a very real way, I feel that "we" are sending you into a pit of vicious vipers and reptiles, so I hope and pray that your common sense and Spirit will carry you through to success~! Fortunately, these Democrat communists have turned their entire political party into a national flaming dumpster fire that is revealing itself for the many atrocities that is has brought to America and all Americans, so God willing your timing to introduce sanity in government will be the best ;-)

Exactly. They only enforce codes against those that can pay, will pay, or have something of value they can put a lien on.
