I’d be more inclined to say that addicts are intentionally getting themselves arrested so they can get high on suboxone & have a free meal rather than they’re trying to get sober. Suboxone is a highly addictive drug that absolutely gets you high as a kite. That’s NOT getting sober. It’s trading one psychoactive substance for another. Having been an addict myself at one time, I’m well versed in the panic that sets in when your supply runs dry. This kind of medicated approach the county has embraced is not compassion. It’s more along the lines of attempting to silence the problem & we can see how well that’s been working out for everyone 🙄 the slow motion decay around here is picking up momentum at an existential rate & I find that extremely alarming

Excellent point, Jennifer. I remember a song , "We are the World", with the lyrics ringing truth (I didn't agree with the premise, or the fraud that ensued). Civics hasn't been offered in public schools since the mid-late 1960s, with the current state of governance clearly reflecting that fact. Apparently, government only exists for "free stuff", and to supply jobs for elected officials and NGO laundry services who can't, while those who can, pay for their insatiable appetite of other people's money and resources to enrich their family lifestyle and legacy. The OMC legacy of failure and fraud goes all the way back into the 1970s, when landing a position on the Hospital Board became a status symbol, and beneficial to one's business entity, which sometimes backfired. We live in the flight-path of Airlift Northwest(a/k/a UW) and Life Flight air ambulances, (and ground ambulances as well) relocating patients to UW, VM, et al. medical facilities in Seattle; those birds never cool down. I can determine which aircraft are flying by sound, alone, multiple times daily. OMC ships out their business, in view of buying up prime real estate to build or remodel into medical offices and facilities. They are in the real estate business, land acquisition, not a medical institution. Then, there is NOHN, another NGO federal grant and funding epicurean entity. There is plenty of grease on the bureaucratic wheels, with ample red tape, to ensure they they run smoothly, and quietly, while the value producers work away doing what we do; paying for it all via endless taxes and fees. Life and experience are required to unravel the twisted web they weave, and bureaucrats know that death is imminent, with the cyle beginnng anew. Few of the living are adept at researching, or brave enough to open that can of rotten fish, because the stench alone will set them on their heels and cause uncontrollable emesis.

Jamestown tribe taking more of our tax dollars off the market by requesting more land being placed in a federal trust is draining all of us.

The tribe has to go through a trust process. It is sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs who must accept public written comments (best if it is unified letters instead of lots of individual letters) for 30-60 days. However, frustrating as it is, about 85% will still pass into trust land approved by the BIA… BUT there are a few things that can happen… it slows down the process and could take a couple years. It also allows people to contact local and state lawmakers to ask for negotiations where tribes will agree to local infrastructure or emergency services , like the fire departments that need extra funding… AND several tribes and counties do a PILOT agreement (Payment in Lieu of Taxes). They voluntarily choose to pay a lump sum or provide resources to schools, hospitals or whatever services they also benefit from. What I read was that Jamestown does NoT have a formal PILOT agreement but they did provide funding for two deputies for clallam county at about $280,000 in 2024. However, they are specific in where they contribute finances to : policing, environmental restoration/ mitigation and some infrastructure. So every time a piece of property is taken off the tax roll by Jamestown, we need to submit unified letters, contact state and local leaders with our concerns, request a formal PILOT agreement be put in place, get lawmakers to negotiate because we CANNOT afford paying the exorbitant tax increase on our property taxes any longer!!!

The BIA, when notified, notifies our Commissioners of an impending sale. The Commissioners do not present or notify the public nor have ever objected to a sale. It fails at the Commissioners level because of their lack to notify the public. We are left in the dark until it is too late. It is our Commissioners job to present evidence on how land removed from our tax base harms the county.

Health Care and hospitals are such a tangled web. It is clear to me that the major reason for hospital financial failure is providing free care to those who cannot afford it. That responsibility is a Government mandate. Government is always less efficient that private business. That is primarily because Government is not restrained by either profitability or efficiency where private business is. I propose that care for the indigent be isolated and accounted for separate of those who can afford insurance for or the cost of care. Society can then transparently decide how much they are willing to invest in indigent care and what form that will take. Hospitals should be privatized, competing for patients with their proven service and competitive cost. From Wikipedia "There is no generally accepted definition of Indigenous peoples". So when our local Governance invests our tax dollars in "Indigenous Peoples Day", by definition that is for nobody. Superficially the intent is to provide reparations for dead people. Today there are no oppressed indigenous people or oppressors of the indigenous living. Unfortunately and ironically, the nebulous indigenous people have greater success opportunity than the even more nebulous non-indigenous. It is feel good bullshit. Be equal citizens or be sovereign, but not both.

If WE all urinated on the Commissioners' porches, would it be dismissed as "it happens". Shit happens too. Does anyone think that arresting these petty criminals (i.e., homeless bums and addicts) would not have an impact on them? Of course it would. They would seek greener, more lenient pastures. By being soft on them, providing pizza, syringes, and boofing kits, it is an invitation to them. Why is this such a difficult concept for our corrupt commissioners to grasp? Oh yeah, the money that flows in to combat it winds up being diverted into other pet projects and open pockets, perhaps?

Arrest the bums, let them enjoy their own-cause withdrawal in a jail cell, then give them a one-way ticket to GTFO from Clallam County would most definitely reduce the crime problem, but then how would the commissioners steal from us? Oh, let me count the ways....

Obviously, the OMC has not only been grossly and obscenely mismanaged for years, but the good folks of our community should IMMEDIATELY demand an independent investigator/auditor to perform a forensic audit to discover exactly where all that money disappeared to~! Someone sure has all that money, but who and what on earth did they do to get their hands on it??? I would not be surprised if criminal prosecutions become necessary to "claw back" millions of dollars and to prosecute the criminals who were involved in this theft~! I would now be in favor of allowing the entire scam of the OMC to completely collapse, the taxpayers relieved of any further obligations, and a new hospital being immediately established to provide the basic absolutely necessary services that the folks in our community need~! Those who want non-emergency elective surgery and procedures can for the time being travel outside of our community until "we" can safely provide our critical care system first~! No more excuses, milking the taxpayer throwing good money after bad, and denying or threatening emergency care to our community~!

The disgusting self-serving tribal government/s and the criminally corrupt NGO's need to be either completely eliminated or dramatically curtailed in their constant assault on the communities that they prey on like the leeches that they have become~! Those who use "fake science" to corrupt our country need to be criminally prosecuted and punished at the maximum level possible because the damage and even deaths that they cause are literally atrocious~! Hello Patriot John Bowen~!

HA! Got your name right this time ;-)

I had not heard about the ER doctor who raped a young woman~! Of course, "we" have to be extremely careful that we are not being played by such accusations, however if true that doctor obviously needs to be severely punished. No American should trust the "Mickey Mouse" judicial system these days because the corruption is SO obviously out-of-control, but the old system is crashing and burning as we speak. I have good information that "we" (America) is/are already finally transitioning into a common law system of justice. That will remove the criminal corruptions of the corporate law matrix and correct many injustices. So, there is hope :) I have had the ability to know much about the corruptions in the medical field for the past 30 years, so I am not at all surprised about the terrible reports of doctors and serious hospital issues. Yes, there are many dirty lawyers and corrupt judges who LOVE destroying America to line their pockets, and they are constantly betraying their oaths. I actually have a cousin that decades ago admitted that he not only paid a professional test taker to pass ALL of his law school exams, but he paid a professional test taker to take his California State BAR exam as well. He is a complete fraud~! My cousin "practiced" law in California for well over 40 years and may still be completely fraudulently doing so to this very day as far as I know~! So, imagine how many "lawyers" are less qualified that the Safeway butcher to be a lawyer~! Now, ask yourself just how many of these so-called "doctors" are really legit as well, and keep in mind that there is a LOT more money in being a doctor that a lawyer on average... Yes, my friend, we have a LOT of very dangerous scumbags in America, and we just can't afford to assume that everyone is legitimate or good in their field (whatever field that may be)... Even many of the doctors who actually did go to medical school suck blue monkey balls, and I am sure that "we" are going to learn more about that soon. I recently ran into a good American who is married to a local nurse, and he revealed that his wife was threatened NOT to tell the patients at the OMC about the deadly risks of the COVID "vaccines". His wife was also advised that several of the doctors at the OMC NEVER take ANY vaccines whatsoever, because they know that they don't work and can be VERY dangerous. Yet, these criminal "doctors" make a fortune pushing their patients into getting vaccinated for everything under the sun~! Those criminal doctors are going to be sitting in front of a Tribunal and facing the death penalty if any of their patients died from the now infamous "clot shot"~! For the time being they are still here in our area harming folks who trust them. We have a friend who is a local NP doctor, and she is about to have some surgery, but she is going to Seattle because she knows how dangerous it is here in the local hospitals~! Think about that~!!! I completely understand folks being upset by the BS going on at the OMC, but closing its doors could actually save lives until we can find better people to run & staff our medical system out here... Have a mellow day and keep the faith!

Stay healthy!!!

Sincerely, Mike

Beware CEO's-school superintendents-board commissioner members all have access to multi millions of tax $$$ and when we see abuse they seem to be above the law because of no accountability. The next wrecking crew comes in and claims poverty so taxes must go up to survive so the sham can repeat itself.

What are the tribes doing to their young people? Shouldn’t they want their children to be good Americans like other decent Americans? What percentage of those with American Indian heritage are not on reservations and are behaving as all Americans should? I believe the vast majority are. Why don’t we hear more about them? What are they in the eyes of the JKT, for example, chopped liver? Traitors?

When a tribe or any group starts attacking and beggaring its neighbors, it’s time for pushback. Remove the reservation Albatross from the necks of American Indian youth. We don’t need segregation and the racism the reservations breed. They are outdated and belong in the dustbin.

Something I wrote a while back -

There are no indigenous people. Only the rocks are indigenous; some are igneous. Many people seem to have rocks in their heads. They are ignoramuses.

I will accept American Indians as descendants of earlier arrivals or earlier immigrants. We can’t even be certain they were the first, the second, or the third, etc.. In fact, they may have killed earlier ones, perhaps over a fish.

Nor do I honor the term native. Anyone born here is a native.

The HUGE difference is, we can open sites like this one, appeal in courts all the way to the Supreme Court. The buck stops for tribal members at THEIR council table. Period. To oppose a Tribal decision can be a death sentence for your standing in the Tribe. Sovereign status has its ups and downs. You either go along or get along. Trust me, not all agree or profit from their council decisions. But yes, you are correct, it is time to stop what is essentially a welfare system on steroids. Ah, yes, our forests. Sorry if you’ve read this before or have any remaining faith in “science” or our local leaders -

Some of us are tired of the same old line. We are tired of the smoke. We are tired of watching trees burn when they have so many beneficial uses. Some roads and firebreaks and a decrease in the fuel load would make a good difference and allow the elderly and disabled more opportunities to get close to nature. That would provide more support, more people with something to lose.

How many dead animals?

Wait! The forests are supposed to burn. That’s part of their plan. Notice all the fires? What did Washington State Director of Public Lands Dave Up-the-grove just do? He’s building inventory, so we can have more and bigger fires.

Very curious last name. Okay, Beeman, is it “build up the groves” or is it “burn up the groves?”

Well, my answer is, “yes!” Yes!

It’s a win-win for them either or both ways. More division, confusion, chaos, mayhem, and misery, so more people become dependent upon them. Fear and pathos have been their power tools for as long as I can remember.”

Why so many fires? What did you expect with the new grove worshippers whose idol, one of their gods, is a tree? Does this make God happy?

But there is more.

Can the air be too clean and, at the same time, less healthy?

Yes, a lot of lightning caused fires, but if man-caused, is it accidentally?

Ooh, ooh! Bloomberg, and Gates. Uh, oh!

So largest land owner not planting trees while so many are burning. Hmmm.

Is it true that 19% of residential property is owned by corporations? How much by foreigners? Are those shares increasing?

Oprah and Bill looking for some cheap real estate too? What about Bloomberg?

Ah, yes! “Bloomberg Cities” (“15 minute cities”) and “Rapid Urbanization.” It’s all beginning to make sense.

Are they trying to force and scare people to concentrate in cities, concrete and steel ones, large ones, not small, not wooden like Lahaina and Paradise? What is happening to homeowner’s fire insurance? Are rising rates preventing home ownership?

Burn more wood. The earth is counting on you. (Radiant heat is best).

Have forest and wild fires always been a mechanism for cooling the earth? After a long hot spell with everything tinder dry, are fires likely? Do particulates in smoke shade the earth from the intense rays of the sun and provide help for moisture in the air to form droplets of rain?

When man arrived and cooked and heated with fire was there less need for forest and wildfires? With the use of the internal combustion engine without catalytic converters imitating natural combustion, were there even less fires?

Besides poor management, are we witnessing something else?

Seems like fighting forest fires and wildfires has become big business just like homelessness, behavioral and mental health, and pharma.

Hmmm?

What if there were a connection?

Haven’t you heard, “Deforestation, Deforestation, Deforestation!!!”

So why are there more forest fires?

Or are there?

“Cue the forest fires! Release the arsonists! It’s too hot too fast too soon! Quick before people realize what we have done!” (Is this what “chemtrails” are for also? “We cleaned the air too much. Now we must dirty it.”).

Sun’s out. Almost seems like with a vengeance.

Does it feel searing to you? Too searing?

It does to me. What’s more, it’s what I expected when we decided we needed to clean the air by incinerating Carbon Monoxide and particulates into Carbon Dioxide, CO2, and much smaller particulates.

Do smaller particulates let more of the sun’s rays through? This behavior is not something claimed for CO2 even by the most rabid members of the climate cult. The temperature is supposed to slowly ratchet up not jump up. That’s not according to “plan.”

Were we designed by God to handle large particulates? What are nose hairs, cilia, and mucous for? Does higher CO2 dry up mucous faster? Are finer particles able to avoid nose hairs and cilia while more CO2 makes us breathe deeper? (CO2 is what makes us pant and is known as a “cerebral vasodilator).

Have there been more respiratory problems since hotter running engines with catalytic converters were forced on us, Y/N?

Why didn’t God put catalytic converters on fire? What are the advantages of Carbon Monoxide? It was made the bogeyman to force emissions change. Did you get to vote on that?

If our wannabe masters are aware of this, would they want more forest fires to burn and to burn longer to offset this so we don’t notice and to keep this from causing too much heating?

Are larger particulates more helpful in causing rain?

What is the cattle prod used to force us to endure the medical, mental, and behavioral damage caused by excessive exhaled CO2 in tighter homes, schools, etc. with poor ventilation?

Something untoward is happening. Does the sun seem searing? (Are we at the peak of the current sun spot cycle? Is it a strong one? Imagine! The sun might be playing a role!).

But, thinking of all the fires, is there a cost for “clean” air?

What would the cooling effect be without emissions change of monoxide and particles into dioxide and smaller particles?

BTW, what is the monoxide cycle? How much of the combustion of forests results in monoxide? Big particles?

Some 10 years after emissions change was forced on us, the hole in the ozone was discovered. Ever compare the molecular weights of monoxide and dioxide? Is it important? How about monoxide and a chlorofluorocarbon molecule? All gases disperse, some more slowly because of molecular weight. What gases are more likely to reach the ozone layer? Will gravity hamper heavier ones? Why can hydrogen and helium escape into space? Is the ozone still depleted without monoxide? (Thus, the need for more fires).

Do you recall California claiming in the 1990s that monoxide was causing “ground level ozone?” That was a lie because less monoxide was being made, but is there a process?

CO2 is irrelevant in warming.

WOW, Jeff, Thank You for all the detail "stuff" going on in Clallam County!!!

So simple question, "How does the State of WA not monitor Financial OMC, as a Public Hospital"? Losing $72Mil, really???

Patty Murray all fired up about conservative "controls" about security on our streets, but not about Public support & finances on our critical medical care. Just don't get it...
