@jefftozzer CORRECTION: The open public meeting act (OPMA) states that the individual commissioners are fined, for the 1st violation $500 and $1000 fine for EACH subsequent violation, not the county.
BUT the real issue is that any action taken by the governing board during the meetings that violate the OPMA are null and void!
So, if this happened in March all of the board actions that has taken place might be under question if the OPMA violation continues from the original violation, or it could be just that one moment, but whatever actions taken need to be looked at, if that makes sense?

So what do we do? They've rigged the elections so we can't win fair and square, so how do we unseat them? I believe that you have a timely concern that may just be close to being resolved, believe it or not. Yes, Jeff Tozzer and many of us are working very hard to wake the sleeping sheep up about a great many things, however the rigged elections are the root of MANY (if not most) of our real problems in Clallam County, Washington State, and all across the US (and even world). So "we" are actually doing a solid job from the grass roots level, but this election rigging issue is also being worked on from the top down as well. President Trump and the white hats are actually EXTREMELY serious about destroying the rigged election systems in America and providing an honest elections process to ALL Americans. I suspect that they may be successful in doing exactly that by the midterm elections next November (2026) with any hard work and decent luck. I continue to monitor and track that progress every week and I can honestly say that there is a strong likelihood that the corrupt voting machines will be out of the picture and there will be a termination of the corrupt "mail in voting" scam in the near future. It is an unpleasant subject for me, but much may hinge on the elimination of the federal - congressional filibuster, and I am deeply concerned about how that could come back to haunt us. On the other hand, the criminals who are running the democrat & RINO party have made no secret of the fact that they intend to end the filibuster when/if they gain enough control again... We can't afford to allow that... This entire subject is probably the biggest potentially dangerous of all issues that we (Americans) currently face. Honestly, I would be losing sleep over this issue, except that I have been in this old fight for too many decades, I have too many battle scars, my "jousting stick" is worn clear on down to the nub, and I am just too damn stubborn about fighting to the end for Americans freedoms and rights~! On Monday, the public collectively got 2 hours and 10 minutes to testify at the hearing. It was very impressive and encouraging to witness our community coming together and fighting for their property rights against government bureaucrats. Thank you, Jake Seegers, for standing up as the solo voice against these assanine issues and unbalanced arguments on Monday. You bring tempered thought and rational solutions to every issue. Also, my compliments to Jake Seegers for his efforts to remind the usual local ignorant self-serving clown show of the history of the forest & lands here in our area~! I am reminded of an unpleasant surprise that my wife and I got about 15 years ago, when we visited Ocean Shores for the first time in several years. As we had done for many years before, we took our horses down to Ocean Shores in the hopes that we would enjoy another mellow visit there riding along the beach and picnicking, all while gladly supporting the folk's economy there. Those who don't know would have no clue how absolutely amazing it is to have your horses on the beach, but it can be one of the best experiences in life that anyone could enjoy for humans and horses alike. I have had horses on beaches from San Diego all the way up into Washington State and even on Hawaii beaches. One of my horses absolutely LOVED the beach. She loved children and would stop all on her own to very safely lower her head to that little ones could pet her face when they reached out for her. She was a HUGE black thoroughbred, and she was born to run along the sweet spot of the beach where the tide had receded and firmed up the sand, creating the finest surface for horses to run on in the world. She would "body surf" on the waves and literally countless people from all over the world absolutely LOVED seeing her lying down with her head in my lap as she took naps in the warm sand on the beach on a sunny day~! Is it still called a "cat nap" if it is a horse? Well, the last time that we visited Ocean Shores we were just going about our usual peaceful business there enjoying the beach and we were quickly stopped by a local police officer and advised that we were committing the "terrible crime" of allowing our horses to "stomp on the precious clams" thus doing harm to the clams along the beach! WHAT~? The police officer was polite and obviously embarrassed that his job had been perverted by a recent "fake science" determination of the local mafia that poses as "government" in Ocean Shores~! As a scientist, who is no stranger to environmental studies, especially involving aquatic life in the Pacific Ocean, I was absolutely stunned by the gall of the local governmental mafia in Ocean Shores to have cooked up such a blatant pile of bullshit that used science as a weapon against the rights of Americans. Does my horse have any rights~? HA~! The evil lying hypocrites abound~! It is no secret that I am fiercely protective of ALL Americans freedoms and rights, so this specific issue is definitely one of my trigger points. No legitimate honorable scientist would EVER dare to claim that horses on the beach would or even could possibly harm the clam population. I won't go into the thousands of years of massive herds of elk and countless deer that have and still do regularly visit the sands of beaches all up and down the West Coast, or the fact that if that was harmful there would be no real clam population at all, but anyone with the slightest functioning brain who ever dug in the sand, especially for clams, would understand the great insulative value of the firm compacted sand where even the many cars and large trucks weighing in the tons that regularly drive along the beaches there in Ocean Shores have never been proven to harm a single "precious clam"~! The absolutely evil and asinine "law" that the Ocean Shore mafia created with their clearly "fake science" assault against the great folks who have been harmlessly enjoying their horses on beaches there for well over 100 years, was just too much for us to take without protest. Over the past 30 years I have personally spent a great many thousands of dollars in Ocean Shores on my many recreational visits there. Well, that last trip ended up the very next morning when we packed up and left Ocean Shores NEVER to return~! Not a penny more will EVER be spent by us in Ocean Shores and I hope that everyone who reads this also joins me in this boycott of the Ocean Shores mafia, because an evil mafia they definitely are~! This effectively made having horses on the beach a waste of time at best, by destroying the very area, reason & purpose of having horses on the beach and creating an evil dangerous environment for them & for folks who still wanted to be on the beach with their horses. Both species are whales. One is being viciously hunted. The meat is not needed for sustenance. The other, via "Save the Salmon", is being misused as a tool to gain water and land rights. The Tribes are not limited nor have limited themselves on salmon catch.
Just read a story about orcas on the east coast killing baby great white sharks and eating their livers, discarding the rest of the carcass. Because they’re really compassionate sentient beings, right?
I've seen footage of them (offshore) drowning baby gray whales and they eat the tongue and liver...crab food for the rest, I guess...at least they don't pretend to be anything other than that which they are!🤣

The southern pod orcas are dieing because they prefer Chinook (King) salmon and have denounced other types of protein like fish, seals etc.

@jefftozzer CORRECTION: The open public meeting act (OPMA) states that the individual commissioners are fined, for the 1st violation $500 and $1000 fine for EACH subsequent violation, not the county.
BUT the real issue is that any action taken by the governing board during the meetings that violate the OPMA are null and void!
So, if this happened in March all of the board actions that has taken place might be under question if the OPMA violation continues from the original violation, or it could be just that one moment, but whatever actions taken need to be looked at, if that makes sense?

So what do we do? They've rigged the elections so we can't win fair and square, so how do we unseat them? The only way I know is to fight the uphill battle of making elections "too big to rig" (not sure that's possible in WA), and Jeff is doing what he can to expose the corruption to increase public awareness, but I will likely be dead and gone by the time enough people know the truth and vote in a group that is "too big to rig". What about the interim 10-20 years?

I believe that you have a timely concern that may just be close to being resolved, believe it or not. Yes, Jeff Tozzer and many of us are working very hard to wake the sleeping sheep up about a great many things, however the rigged elections are the root of MANY (if not most) of our real problems in Clallam County, Washington State, and all across the US (and even world). So "we" are actually doing a solid job from the grass roots level, but this election rigging issue is also being worked on from the top down as well. President Trump and the white hats are actually EXTREMELY serious about destroying the rigged election systems in America and providing an honest elections process to ALL Americans. I suspect that they may be successful in doing exactly that by the midterm elections next November (2026) with any hard work and decent luck. I continue to monitor and track that progress every week and I can honestly say that there is a strong likelihood that the corrupt voting machines will be out of the picture and there will be a termination of the corrupt "mail in voting" scam in the near future. It is an unpleasant subject for me, but much may hinge on the elimination of the federal - congressional filibuster, and I am deeply concerned about how that could come back to haunt us. On the other hand, the criminals who are running the democrat & RINO party have made no secret of the fact that they intend to end the filibuster when/if they gain enough control again... We can't afford to allow that... This entire subject is probably the biggest potentially dangerous of all issues that we (Americans) currently face. Honestly, I would be losing sleep over this issue, except that I have been in this old fight for too many decades, I have too many battle scars, my "jousting stick" is worn clear on down to the nub, and I am just too damn stubborn about fighting to the end for Americans freedoms and rights~! Also, my compliments to Jake Seegers for his efforts to remind the usual local ignorant self-serving clown show of the history of the forest & lands here in our area~! I am reminded of an unpleasant surprise that my wife and I got about 15 years ago, when we visited Ocean Shores for the first time in several years. As we had done for many years before, we took our horses down to Ocean Shores in the hopes that we would enjoy another mellow visit there riding along the beach and picnicking, all while gladly supporting the folk's economy there. Those who don't know would have no clue how absolutely amazing it is to have your horses on the beach, but it can be one of the best experiences in life that anyone could enjoy for humans and horses alike. I have had horses on beaches from San Diego all the way up into Washington State and even on Hawaii beaches. One of my horses absolutely LOVED the beach. She loved children and would stop all on her own to very safely lower her head to that little ones could pet her face when they reached out for her. She was a HUGE black thoroughbred, and she was born to run along the sweet spot of the beach where the tide had receded and firmed up the sand, creating the finest surface for horses to run on in the world. She would "body surf" on the waves and literally countless people from all over the world absolutely LOVED seeing her lying down with her head in my lap as she took naps in the warm sand on the beach on a sunny day~! Is it still called a "cat nap" if it is a horse? Well, the last time that we visited Ocean Shores we were just going about our usual peaceful business there enjoying the beach and we were quickly stopped by a local police officer and advised that we were committing the "terrible crime" of allowing our horses to "stomp on the precious clams" thus doing harm to the clams along the beach! WHAT~? The police officer was polite and obviously embarrassed that his job had been perverted by a recent "fake science" determination of the local mafia that poses as "government" in Ocean Shores~! As a scientist, who is no stranger to environmental studies, especially involving aquatic life in the Pacific Ocean, I was absolutely stunned by the gall of the local governmental mafia in Ocean Shores to have cooked up such a blatant pile of bullshit that used science as a weapon against the rights of Americans. Does my horse have any rights~? HA~! The evil lying hypocrites abound~! It is no secret that I am fiercely protective of ALL Americans freedoms and rights, so this specific issue is definitely one of my trigger points. No legitimate honorable scientist would EVER dare to claim that horses on the beach would or even could possibly harm the clam population. I won't go into the thousands of years of massive herds of elk and countless deer that have and still do regularly visit the sands of beaches all up and down the West Coast, or the fact that if that was harmful there would be no real clam population at all, but anyone with the slightest functioning brain who ever dug in the sand, especially for clams, would understand the great insulative value of the firm compacted sand where even the many cars and large trucks weighing in the tons that regularly drive along the beaches there in Ocean Shores have never been proven to harm a single "precious clam"~! The absolutely evil and asinine "law" that the Ocean Shore mafia created with their clearly "fake science" assault against the great folks who have been harmlessly enjoying their horses on beaches there for well over 100 years, was just too much for us to take without protest. Over the past 30 years I have personally spent a great many thousands of dollars in Ocean Shores on my many recreational visits there. Well, that last trip ended up the very next morning when we packed up and left Ocean Shores NEVER to return~! Not a penny more will EVER be spent by us in Ocean Shores and I hope that everyone who reads this also joins me in this boycott of the Ocean Shores mafia, because an evil mafia they definitely are~! One has to wonder what else the criminals in government there are up to and if they are also linked to our local criminal syndicate within our governmental system here??? A couple of years ago we cut off several friendships largely due to their very clear understanding that the Ocean Shores mafia had unlawfully and unconstitutionally prohibited horses and horse owners from enjoying the beaches as they once had, because they didn't like the horses on the beach themselves! These same treasonous idiots have a sticker on one of their cars that says "I LOVE THE CONSTITUTION" but clearly, they never read The American Constitution or bothered to understand it one bit~! Ha! This effectively made having horses on the beach a waste of time at best, by destroying the very area, reason & purpose of having horses on the beach and creating an evil dangerous environment for them & for folks who still wanted to be on the beach with their horses. It is just like the criminals in government who begrudgingly admit that "guns are legal" and then they proceed to make sure that there are no areas where guns can be "legally" used, and bit by bit criminalizing guns and their accessories, as well as eliminating the ability to get ammunition~! I find it the height of moronic hypocrisy when these anti-gun morons, suddenly appreciate guns when a fellow American with a gun saves their worthless rear ends from being harmed or killed~! I don't talk about it much, but I have actually saved several lives because I happened to have a gun at just the right time~! Robert, you are giving a human quality to the Orcas. I don't know what the point is.
The point is, our precious orcas are not human, they’re just critters doing what critters do. By dressing up as one and demonstrating, are you condoning such savage behavior? Putting them on a pedestal as we do here seems to me to be a grave mistake.
Robert, sorry if my reply is misinterpreted. I certainly am not condoning savage behavior. Quite the opposite. Who am I putting on a pedestal? I am NOT in favor of killing either whales. The orcas here are dying because of overfishing in our waters. The grey whales are being viciously murdered for no other reason than "tradition"
The southern pod orcas are dieing because they prefer Chinook (King) salmon and have denounced other types of protein like fish, seals etc.
I believe this is one time humans have not f*** up a species. They are smart but don’t have a dietitian in the pod. Even the smartest beings amongst us can follow down the wrong path. Look at local government.

Didn’t catch the inferred meaning. They were laying on a public sidewalk. I think it was an Orca or a penguin (?) is that about homelessness?

Just picky eaters. We don’t eat the junk in the bag that comes inside the turkey. In fact I don’t eat the turkey. It’s a national day of mourning for me, and the poultry families left behind!

Michael Heath, thank you. I agree, the "humans being apes" is touchy, and not for this forum. I am very touchy about OUR whales. They belong to ALL OF US and I can't stand killing them for no other reason than "it's traditional". We all have our flash points. That is one of mine. ; )

Well, personally I could really care less if I am some sort of "Humonkey" that somehow evolved from other primates, however I have extensively researched that question and the statistical odds are that "we" humans were most likely genetically "tinkered with" thousands of years ago to become what we are today. What we started out as who knows, but maybe the information that was captured from the Vatical vaults a few years ago will give us more information someday? It won't be of any real consequence as far as I am concerned. I yam what I yam! Ha! I would never trust the garbage that "we" have been fed by the so-called "scientists" for the past 100+ years, but I would always enjoy talking with you about it :) As an American Constitutionalist one of the most difficult things that I have to do is to control my "triggers" because it is most important to remain cool headed, especially when the criminals are trying to piss us off ;-) You and I TOTALLY agree about the whales however~! I am absolutely disgusted with the American Indians who claim that they are "good stewards of earth" who then turn around and slaughter whales! What a bunch of A holes!!! Tradition BS~! I find the American Indians, Japanese, or anyone who kills whales to be rotten to the core filthy cowards and rapers of our wildlife~! Blood pressure! BLOOD PRESSURE~! Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! To be honest I am all in favor of good and healthy traditions for all folks that do no harm, but I DEEPLY resent the brainless ignorance of anyone who would kill a whale these days. That is completely unnecessary and only proves that cowards and fools will do anything that they can to prove themselves to be cowards and fools~! I support any race of folks the same, but even though I do have some American Indian ancestry I do NOT cut the local Indians any slack to kill whales or any other innocent and helpless animal under any circumstances. Whaling has become a political point to prove. No one goes hungry when a whale is spared . And the torture that is put on animals shall be visited 10 times more on humans.

You are 100% correct, nothing of value is gained by cowardly slaughtering whales for political or egotistical reasons, and the killing of whales has not been "necessary" for well over 100 years. Of course, it was rarely necessary for most humans in the world to begin with, but as a group and in some notable cases people are stupid and refuse to learn much of anything~! This is exactly why I really enjoy the good folks here on The Watchdog, because of the "uncommonly" elevated Intelligence level that is actually common here~! That is REALLY what frightens the criminals within our government and greater society. Ha~! Jeff Tozzer does a tremendous job of giving Intelligent folks a place to gather and communicate, which is THE Constitutional backbone of America, so spread the word we must, and hopefully others will follow suit all across America and the world~!

Regarding the different treatment of Gray Whales and Orcas - perhaps you are not familiar with the phrase "All whales are equal, but some whales are more equal than others". It is right there in the much less well known and read, marine mammal edition of Orwell's "Animal Farm". ;-)
Dale Russell, I am not familiar with the edition you speak of. I have read 'Animal Farm' several times. Once when I was in high school, once when I was raising my children and recently as a senior. Funny how ones interpretations change with age and experience. A great book. ; )

The Orca is the largest toothed animal in the dolphin family. They are in every ocean and their diets vary. Putting them in a Seaworld show should have a harsh punishment, which some brave Orcas have taken upon themselves.
