Thanks, Jeff, for yet another enlightening report.

You all know my feelings about this, and they pretty much align with this report. What's done is done, by and to people I don't know and have virtually no relation to. If we were all Americans, none of this favoritism and injustice would be occurring. Racism is a political construct designed to manipulate us. I grew up with Blacks, Asians, Jews, Christians, Hindus, in the proverbial melting pot. No one gave the differences a thought. Everyone was accepted just as color of hair, eyes, or skin didn't matter. We were all American kids. I believe the racism was resurrected by Obama, who amplified our differences.

Now, for past guilt, we all have to suffer. The Tribe is Sovereign-- we are told, so why are they not paying tariffs? Why are they using our roads, electricity, and infrastructure without paying the same for it. We are all Americans. We help them and they help us, but this division is only for political power and should end.

Jeff, you ask two questions: "Should equity be decided by race, DNA, or ancestry? Should wealth redistribution be based on history—or on need?" The answer is ... both so-called "equity" and "wealth distribution" are horse hockey. Let's have equality of opportunity, not equity, which means equal outcomes not based on one's own willingness to work hard and sacrifice immediate gratification for downstream success. As to wealth redistribution? What a BS concept. That's socialism/communism in its purest form. Remember when you were growing up with not much and saw the shining mansion on the hill? I was taught that if I worked hard and made the right life choices, I too might someday live in such a home. Today it seems the thought process is that mansion owner obviously got where he's at by being a racist/cheating capitalist and, by all rights, part, if not all, of his wealth should be redistributed to me and mine as payment for his past sins. What a bunch of crapola.

Let's also not have unholy labor/enslavement practices where, once compromised it's virtually impossible to keep up, let alone get ahead!

Every one of us who is doing ok, well or really well is, in part, part owner of slaves...all over the world...we have the prosperity we have not because we are so good or clever or worthy but because of the extreme conditions corporations and individuals put other human beings under for our prosperity.

Slave labor in Africa for mining minerals...Apple putting up anti-jump nets to keep people from leaping out of buildings to stop the insane exploitation of workers...coddling people in the tech industry so they will stay on-premises and not go home, etc.

I have worked in the trades my entire life...commercial fishing at 14, commercial tire mechanic in high school, truck driving hazmat, welding, contracting home repairs, etc.

The only time I got ahead was driving truck...single...living on my boat...working 70+ hours a week with no other responsibilities.

It is a rigged game and the regular people who have done and are doing well, for the most part, are doing so because they gave value to 'the system'!

Most people have no idea where their investment wealth is coming from or how it's being manifested...just sayin'!

The corrupt system we are all watching crumble and turn to tyranny, because we don't have the collective wisdom to do/be any different is what it is!

This is not a call for socialism or capitalism or any ism.

This is a call for a more humane and sustainable reality for all of us.

Probably pie-in-the-sky, but how we are doing things is definitely not sustainable.

Enjoy the drama... and the crash!😊

The muttering's change. I have heard sea level rise, but that was out the window when they built the event center. Then I heard they are going to demand Peabody creek run through town like the 1800's. That would look cool on the post card to have a Venice type town, but..who gives up property... It was swell when it was all American owned...now their own investment stands in the way. Funny how you don't hear that idea anymore.

The ground there is layer after layer of creek gravel from Peabody creek. Its a liquefaction area in any quake over 7 points. There are also groundwater issues there galore.

They should have taken out the gas station and other properties over Peabody creek years ago, built little Venice and withdrawn the city center to the bluffs where there is solid ground to build,

I think too big. Its always easier to keep status quo or take babied steps.

There is way more to that subject than meets the eye. The city had to sell that property (107 E Front) before the "balloon" was due. Read these documents and see what YOU think... why would any "Limited Term General Obligation Bond", an agreement be signed on CHRISTMAS DAY, and for the amount of $1.2m, with 6.5% interest only for 15 years (Page 16 of the document), when the full balloon balance would be due. https://weblink.cityofpa.us/WebLink/DocView.aspx?id=24772&dbid=0&repo=COPA&searchid=937dfe16-1714-4780-8ea4-94a2774ac9ef

"2.8.1. Council shall consider selling of the Niichel property and other unused City properties to allow the City to have the resources to meet the debt service obligations of the 2005 Limited Term General Obligation Bond and its $1,000,000 balloon payment in 2021" (in other documents, the deadline was cited as due in full in 2026). https://www.cityofpa.us/DocumentCenter/View/5846/Financial-Policies

Adopted by City Council April 18, 2023

The site was identified by the EPA (72232986) and Department of Ecology (6562) as a "clean up site". Once the "big dig" was given an "all clear". But where did that "Non-Halogenated Organics -- Petroleum-Other go? It's all clean NOW.

And, just like that, it's off the city's books, "clean" by the Department of Ecology.

We did not NEED that property for building the Gateway Transit Center. And, immediately after this, Mr. Niichel left town.

It all seems just a little "hinky" to me. No matter how many times I've asked about it, all I get is silence as a reply.

The reality of Government paying homage to dead people is little more than theater. Except when that theater is exploited for political and financial gain. Quid pro quo, back scratching, grants for votes, land grabs, resource harvesting quotas for the few, etc. are all low hanging fruit when this nebulous existence of sovereignty exists. In a country based upon equality there can be no both citizens and sovereign people. One or the other; in or out, but not both. No more you make road, I use road.

Question, are tribal American Indians who have a working career qualify for Social Security? Asking because I’ve heard or read Mr. Allen worked in Washington DC for a number of years, who did he work for? Did his working years qualify him for Social Security, another words, benefits from both, the tribe and including Medicare? Just asking about possible double benefits? Looking forward many tribal youth are college educated and employed, will they be eligible for double benefits, unlike American citizens?

Thanks Jeff for breaking this all down and getting into the weeds so I am able to get a good understanding of where my tax money goes and why. Keeping everyone in the dark has always served the rich & powerful well.

I have lived in and around Native communities all my adult life, fostering Native children to this day. The PNW tribes are hugely wealthy compared to other tribal communities where their people do not live in million dollar homes. They (other tribals) do not have the leaders nor the interest to acquire wealth, by sending kids to colleges to learn business and law. Example, NM tribes want to be left alone to live on their Reservations with less federal oversight or advantage. They seem to have never integrated to our money, political culture, and thats ok. I often saw grant money disappear under the tables, all their business, not my concern. They hated me for going to work in their Res hospital and treated me like i had personally harmed their people, 300 years ago. (My ancestors were slaves of the czar). I just think SoveregnNation needs to be looked at across the country. Peace.

Jean Pratschner, sorry to say, but times have changed. All the tribes have jumped on the money band wagon.

There are 14 New Mexico tribes that have been granted casinos by the U.S. Interior Department. As a federal condition, each tribe has negotiated a gaming compact with the State of New Mexico t0 define the types of casino games, the quantity of each game, operating hours, and other operating rules for their casinos.

Eighteen tribes renewed their gaming compacts with the New Mexico Gaming Control Board in 2017. These compacts will expire in 2037.

These tribes are the Jicarilla Apache Tribe, Mescalero Apache Tribe, Nambe Pueblo, Navajo Nation, Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, Pueblo of Acoma, Pueblo of Isleta, Pueblo of Jemez, Pueblo of Laguna, Pueblo of Nambe, Pueblo of Pojoaque, Pueblo of San Felipe, Pueblo of Sandia, Pueblo of Santa Ana, Pueblo of Santa Clara, Pueblo of Taos, Pueblo of Tesuque and Pueblo of Zuni.

Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) acknowledges tribal governments' exclusive jurisdiction over children who reside on or are domiciled on a reservation, or are existing wards of a Tribal court. It gives concurrent, but presumptive jurisdiction over foster care placement proceedings for Native American children who do not live on the reservation.

Theresa Lehman..“Unfortunately, for several years, due to colonization, we were victimized… Our children were taken. Some never returned. We will never, ever allow our children to face these tragedies again.”

The ICWA is doing to children born with one white parent & one native parent exactly what they accuse the white man of doing, “...Our children were taken.” If you are white and have a baby with a native who wants to adopt the child out, the white side won’t win in a custody case. The ICWA reads well, sounds well, but it won’t fair well for the white parent. The Tribal Courts, not the white parent, has EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION. Being white means you can’t use the available judicial system. If the tribe wants to “take” a white parents child away, they will.

Sink or Swim: It's Time to Weigh In on the Future of Forks’ Pool and Park District

Imagine learning to swim. At first, someone is always nearby, a parent, a lifeguard, a friend, keeping you afloat. You try, you flail, and then finally, you catch your rhythm. But even strong swimmers can tire if left treading water too long without support.

That’s where our community finds itself now with the Quillayute Valley Park and Recreation District (QVPRD) treading water after years without the tax support that once kept it buoyant. And this July 30th at 10:00 AM, in the Community Room at 91 Maple Avenue (inside the pool building), the district will hold a public hearing that may determine whether we float forward or sink.

No matter which path we take, it should reflect what the community truly wants. That means you, the neighbors who use the pool, rent the community room, depend on the medical closet, or dream of new youth programs, need to weigh in.

Let’s stop treading water. It’s time to decide: Will we sink, swim, or build something better?

Let’s chart a path forward—together.

Its building a massive class action lawsuit against the globalists running the NODC and SERN. The lawsuit has all the evidence it needs now. The Plaintiff's would be, non-tribal business owners, non-tribal river communities, and non-tribal citizens who just want a government that works for them not a global consortium bent on building tribal economic advantages at the expense of the "colonizers."

We have the complete plan and its implementation, and its effect.

Its time for a 14th amendment class action equal protection lawsuit.

Its time for a federal court to weigh non-tribal rights against the different river management at "Jimmycomelately," the "checkering" of tribal businesses that are immune from non-tribal land use impediments.

In Forks, the agreement makes it clear, the tribe is immune land use policy. That is economic advantage that Congress said was not supposed to happen. It gets to happen because the municipalities are allowing it to happen.

We are a work in progress. It wasn't long ago that Jeff and Tom didn't understand me either. Its complicated to explain. It needs a webinar and power point. We could really put a great one on now.

In Pugetropolis they have public access television. We need to find a way to get the evidence to the public beyond Watchdog.

I will be at the Forks hearing, we can talk more.

Section 2.2 of their agreement needs to be amended to require compliance with American laws and codes.

We need more of this, not to be right, but get it right. Your sense is strong and righteous.

I more see this as the citizens getting it right because of the closed-loop system so prevalent here locally that only works because we're in WA state which has figured out how to control every aspect from the eyes of the people.

Recall the story Glen shared about the state having a requirement to ferret out fraud, waste, and abuse of federal funds by essentially failing to hire people into those positions, and summarily disposing of hundreds of complaints claiming they were now stale and no one was there to investigate?

Similar sleight of hand tactics are employed to hide funds from public scrutiny because they're shuffled off to NGOs where they can drive public policy, and be used to receive in kind campaign contributions.

We need more disclosure and public oversight, but only the voters can drive this change. Your vision of a government that cares is unfortunately not current reality because those tenets were abused for power.

Great idea to podcast essential information to help us all get our heads wrapped around this.

Obviously, Jeff Tozzer and those of us who dare to ask these same critical questions in our good faith effort to get answers about this ridiculous infantile push to punish folks for actions that they were never responsible for, will NEVER be addressed or answered in any material way~! When the criminals in government can't answer a question because doing so would reveal their criminal intentions, they just don't attempt too honestly do so... Geee, where have we seen that kind of criminal behavior before~? HA~! This is because they well know what they are doing is wrong! To actually answer these critically important questions, would be to reveal the complete "bad faith" and criminal intent of those who are clearly profiting by these continued injustices. Of course, if "we" were to really investigate this matter, I am confident that the criminals in government would be found to have been "skimming" (stealing) our taxpayer monies and/or being "repaid" for their treachery in a number of other thinly disguised ways. The gross conflict of interests that we see Ozias and other criminals in the local governments engaging in is prima facia evidence that absolutely proves the case for having ALL of them removed from office and barred from ever holding public office again~! I would also bet that REAL criminal investigations & prosecutions would reveal guilt on a shocking level as well~! The resistance in answering these serious common-sense questions that Ozias constantly displays absolutely MUST be read as "guilt" on a criminal level, out of an abundance of caution for the communities' well-being, because for the good folks of our community to do otherwise amounts to tacit approval of his/their shady dealings and complete lack of ethics & morals~! As an American Constitutionalist I COMPLETELY reject the insane concept that I am in any way responsible for anyone but myself, regardless of my familial ties. This also goes for members of my family who may have done good things as well as harm, because I can't take any credit or blame for anyone else as that would be completely fraudulent and quite literally insane to attempt to do. I DEEPLY resent anyone who would dare to suggest that I am in any way responsible for the harm any others commit, and I warn anyone who would foolishly attempt to do so that they would immediately find my response to be BIGGLEY "unpleasant" as opposed to me being forced (bullied) into some sort of lunatic shamming response based upon guilt that I totally reject on its face~! Furthermore, I will IMMEDIATELY defend anyone who is being assaulted by these disgusting social bullies who dare to attempt to divide "us" against each other and/or shame others into some sort of twisted enslavement to the evil scumbag's crime agenda~! I simply do NOT accept any blame for other's actions or inactions, past, present, or future. Those who insist on playing "the victim card" are the greatest problem within our otherwise great community, and I would (reluctantly) be in favor of arresting those who push this sick agenda to criminally prosecute them for subversion and/or creating a social disturbance or at least to lock them up into a mental institution so that they can no longer do such harm to others who just want to live in peace under common-sense Constitutional laws, rules, and social guidelines~! The only way to live in peace today, it to start to live within the confines of the original American Constitution and out other fine time-tested founding documents~! Sincerely, Mike

I'm not sure a public forum just for Clallum County is going to be enough. It sounds like Mr. Worthington is in possession of the tools you'll need to take your forum to a level that can and will make a difference between the local concern and the national concern this needs to awaken in order to effect change. Remember the words of "The Sad Cafe".

Luckily, we now have an administration that supports free speech so there's no time like the present to support nationwide awareness that will, eventually, support John's nationwide lawsuit. It sounds like you already have a committed team right here in this forum and you, my friend, are blessed in the art of the wordsmith. If you and Mr. Worthington can commit some time sharing info and coming up with a mission statement half the battle is over. It would be good to contact folks who have been impacted with the same nonsense- like the farmers and small business owners in Whatcom County for a start. I don't have all the answers Jeff, but I do know that to raise awareness you have to use technology and go big and wide. The loyals in your county are already following and will be willing to help any way they can once info is gathered and sorted, the mission statement readied, and a website is needed. The folks who care will find you, likely from all corners of this lovely planet.

Nancy, I think this issue of power is coming to a head:

By Sorsha Khitikian

Published Thursday, February 6, 2025

On his first day in office, President Donald Trump announced an executive order ending birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment, which granted citizenship to formerly enslaved Black people after the Civil War. Almost immediately, the executive order was temporarily blocked by a federal judge in Washington, D.C. Attorneys general from 22 states agreed that the order is unconstitutional and violates the 14th Amendment. Even so, Trump is arguing that the exceptions in the 14th Amendment, such as the Indigenous exception, don’t allow for birthright citizenship.

Trump cites the Civil Rights Act of 1866, written two years before the 14th Amendment. The Act says that citizenship is denied to “Indians not taxed” and those subject to any foreign power. The 14th Amendment includes the phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” which Trump argues is referring to people excluded under the Civil Rights Act. Accordingly, the children of illegal immigrants cannot be citizens because their parents are subject to their native country’s power.

Trump further cites the 1884 Supreme Court case Elk v. Wilkins, which ruled that Indigenous people born on Native-controlled land are subject to their own tribe’s government over the U.S. government, denying their entitlement to U.S. citizenship. Let’s be clear, this distinction inherently erases the United States’ genocidal takeover of Indigenous land and punishes Indigenous people with disenfranchisement for maintaining sovereignty. The U.S. Justice Department said on the Indigenous exception to citizenship: “The United States’ connection with the children of illegal aliens and temporary visitors is weaker than its connection with members of Indian tribes. If the latter link is insufficient for birthright citizenship, the former certainly is.” The Trump administration is implying, if not outright stating, that Indigenous people — the only people in the United States not descended from immigrants — don’t, and shouldn’t, count as citizens.

I do believe that any American Indian could actually go through the process of immigration if they wanted to become citizens of our Republic, just like anyone else, anywhere. However, I don't know of any who have tried except for one. I can't remember his name but he was Cherokee and well educated. In the beginning of our Republic our government supported integration with settlers and this guy went to college and became a leader in his tribal community, acting as liaison between the settler's local mores and those of the tribe. Unfortunately, bad actor politicians decided Indians were a deterrent to progress and they were systematically re-homed to reservations. This gentleman never gained citizenship and was herded onto the Trail of Tears with the rest of his tribe. It's no wonder Indians don't seek citizenship but they most certainly could, and I think it should be encouraged.

I'm still confused about the gas tax they keep. They buy the gas with taxes added, they charge everyone for the tax, then they get 75% of the gas tax back from the original purchase price. If they are tax-exempt, then why are they charged tax? What about all the other taxes collected? Sales tax, alcohol tax, pop and candy tax, cigarette tax??? All of these are meant for our community, but they are not part of our community because they are their nation… It's called stealing, plain and simple. But no one knew about it until now. Thank you, Jeff, I have a feeling we are going to see some big changes. About time!
