How successful would it be for a retired bartender, who left because the temptation was just too great, return only to get right back where he left off, drinking on the job? Why would we think housing (for addicted persons) maintain that living and using would not create a multitude of problems. This is old news people! This kind of Pollyanna shit does not work, why? It’s easier to get wasted and forget your cares, obligations and the laws than it is to

stay sober. Plus a big housing complex means, someone wants to party at any given time.

I would like to see that same energy and money spent on our cognitively delayed adults as they learn skills that become livable wages. I was a florist, I could teach that all day long for the cost of a few evergreen branches.

Think of all the skills we have between all of us. My disgust with decisions made by “Those Three Guys” never solve problems long term. Build a skills center, get business owners on board for taking in interns. Make this area a good place to live, learn and work.

2026 could be the end of text messages and the beginning of useful careers.

My name is Susan Bonallo and if I commit where I see a need, I will be there.

I’m politically not impressed by either party. Less government means funds are available to measure success on projects that have a snow balls chance of good outcomes. Make 2026 the year we quit whining and began winning! Go Jake!

Every word, common sense. The same common sense most of the citizens of Clallam County live by.

The commissioners did not reply to yesterday's email. Here is today's question:

Dear Commissioners,

You often tell residents to ‘stay engaged,’ yet in this case, a resident took the time to write a detailed letter raising specific concerns and received no response from two commissioners. How do you reconcile encouraging engagement while selectively responding to some groups and ignoring others? What standard, if any, does the Board use to decide who gets a reply — and how does that align with your responsibility to treat residents fairly and your stated mission objectives?

All three commissioners can be contacted by emailing the Clerk of the Board at: loni.gores@clallamcountywa.gov

When there is drugs and alcohol involved there is crime and abuse by residents. All we are doing is

creating another safe haven to further their addiction. Why not put the PBH employees to

have their everydayoffices and see how long they could survive.Gy the way they have an EV charger at this new facility. Whose car will be charging there is only temporary until

one of the residents vandalizes it. These units will MOT make it3 years before they are

destroyed by the druggies living there.

They wouldn’t last five business days. People with zero exposure haven’t a clue how disruptive life is in a housing environment where neighbors pick fights, look for drugs, pass out on the steps, and call 911 cause they can’t get to their front door. Plus the ones that think you are stealing from them or the ones that truly are stealing from you. Now next morning depending on hangover, you maybe best old buddies or be told they are coming to kill you, as you are sitting in a patrol cruiser. PS yes Seattle-King County let me in on a few drive along mostly downtown and Rainier Ave South. One smell of some of our passengers will put you off alcohol for life.

I grew up that year from a middle class, two parents, college always an expectation, no discussion, to someone who saw the world and the places we kept tourist from.

Do they (The entire state of Washington )have those programs?

Real career eye openers.

Feel free to ask me more. The best (hard) job I was ever underpaid to love.

All these homeless drug addicts are sitting around giddily awaiting this homeless housing complex to open up w/ their pinkies turned up at the corner of their mouths. FINALLY a private nexus for their dirty deeds to flow effortlessly back & forth from Safeway. It’s going to overwhelm an already stretched thin body of law enforcement. Port Angeles is in for a wild ride as this out of control problem gets much worse.

Ignorant board commissioners just cannot understand why we have so many drug addict problems when they keep catering to them with freebies and now are supporting a brand new 34 unit luxury apartment-condo building.Postings about this oak st project is said each unit is estimated to cost taxpayers around $ 380,000.but we know this number will rise completion date is more than a year away.So is this the board commissioners mentality to keep supporting brand new construction in hopes that they not commit crimes if taxpayers give them new retirement homes & cost of living expenses.Wa state being a sanctuary state tells me these projects may not be used as described. All board commissioners need to be voted out before they put property taxpayers in serious debt so lazy asses can have free retirement at others expense. This is a planned agenda by the liberal party to house & feed the immigrants & homeless in hopes they will vote for the libtard party just like in corrupt states like minnesota.
