This was a definite read for me because it's full of insight into Stoffer. He likes to trot out his military career regularly as if that makes every person who served virtuous, and yes I did as well but I would never conflate my service the way he does. But then I never held his rank so maybe that's where he gets his demeanor from.
He talked about requirements in the military and at the school district, but when it comes to obligation when it's in his face he makes an interesting decision to avoid it. Why? If the allegation was that Jeff applied to the position while challenging the equal representation of all Clallam County citizens and not just the tribal corporation old Jimbo would be all over it like a monkey on a cupcake looking for dirt. But in this situation with the school district superintendent, bupkus. That's someone deciding what's best for the situation based on their own definitions and moral code, not an equal representative of the school district.
We clearly saw his need to control in the now concluded CRC. It has been memorialized in case you've not seen him in action. He also tried to control the attorney asking him the questions.

As long as the Sequim School District is under the thumb of the teacher's union, it will be little more than a political beast. Low performing teachers protected from any cautionary or punitive actions and high performing teachers are not rewarded for excelling. Society rewards merit and unions rewards dues paying members. Management, maintenance and supply chains are also under the control of this union.
The Sequim School District is engaged in a reverse indoctrination. They are busing kids to the Dungeness Center and having them raise their hands to take the land acknowledgment oaths. They are getting even with the next generation and having them learn the ways that most tribal members don't even use anymore. These are basically white people with student loans to pay serving up the oppression Olympics 101. None of those kids will know their white asses would have been toast if the tribal members where not so fond of Polish glass and metal. That's right. The Jamestown settlement was surrounded by 20 thousand tribal members and only 500 wanted to wipe out the white "Europeans." Even the 500 left the glass and metal kilns intact during the failed total massacre. That played out over and over again.
