The county commissioners did not answer yesterday's email. Here is today's question:

Dear Commissioners,

After watching the video of an attack on a Clallam Transit operator, would you consider this to be a “small exclusion”? Do you think de-escalation training would have prevented this? Do you think the Clallam Transit Board should have released more details of this attack to the public?

All three commissioners can be reached by contacting the Clerk of the Board at loni.gores@clallamcountywa.gov

I just want to say Thank You for trying. I do not think there is any hope for Clallam County as the systemic system is so deep. They already know who will be county commissioner, state legislator, state senator, etc years beforehand. (I know this from being on the inside) They already have the system and structure in place to eliminate anyone that speaks against them. They are trying daily with you. I tried for years to expose this and try and make things better. Years. I finally gave up. If you do to, I won't blame you. These people are insidious and disgusting. They claim to be for humanity and then take pride in squashing someone who doesn't believe like them by bullying them in public meetings, not taking agenda items etc. I am so ashamed I was ever aligned with any of them. We may not agree on most things, Jeff, but I would have you at my table before any of those hypocrites. Take Care and Merry Christmas.

Thank you! All your hard work and documenting paid off (even if it took a long time). Do you think Jim Stoffer will be able to get into elected office again? Not with you around! Thanks for staying engaged in our community, we really appreciate it. And Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Shennaigans: I have been fighting my own cynicism to stay engaged.

I agree the systemic corruption is complete, with a very, very few upright people hanging in there to show up and keep the spark alive.

Sometimes we have to pull back a bit and give ourselves some breathing room.

Veronica's story is going to be ubiquitous for any and all landowners, unless they are insiders. 'Damned if you do, damned if you don't.'😱

Top of the pyramid...Nancy Pelosi, maximum insider trading and graft and corruption...Ilhan Omar, same thing...and nothing happens to them...as well as all the other psychopathic agents running and grift/grafting things.

The (Spiritual/Mental Worlds) are where EVERYTHING originates and is our best hope for staying real. Meditation/Prayer-as-Aware-Command, (Not pleading victimhood) is likely the only sane way forward.

We ARE powerful beings in the Creative Realm but we have been 'befoozled' into not believing or knowing it. We CAN awaken/remember Who We Are and if we can't change This place... we can transcend/ascend it through applying Higher Spiritual Principles.

Fighting evil seems to empower it...calling it out and standing in our Higher Truth, even if it's a sacrifice, IS a Higher Way.

Even Conservative/Red states are compromised from within, just not as obvious as our region.

We are the voices of the silent majority who have opted out of trying to make a difference...mostly thankless but appreciated by those of us who understand evil and want a better society for all but have little agency in politics.

Pray for what we want, as if we already have it!? Fantasy or Agency?

It's worth a shot!😊 I'm grateful I'm not...One of THEM!😁

Shenna, your courage will resonate for a long time. You stood up to the harassment, bullying, and name-calling because you knew you were right. You persist against the machine because you have grit and the truth. Thank you for being there until the end of the CRC. Your comments were hard hitting and eye opening. Sometimes we can't see the change we were hoping for, but I always believe that God works beyond my tunnel vision. Stay strong and keep the faith, because YOU DID MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Merry Christmas!

It's pretty obvious...Ozais has to go. He is a self-serving commisioner who serves no but his own ambitions and/or the Tribe's interests. He's paid by us but works for others. Electing Jake Seeger is the first step in changing the Commision into a group that serves the County, not NGOs and not themselves and other organizations. And if we vould only get the Federal DOJ to look into our commisioners' finances...

On the article on PBH money. At bid time an outside EC bid 800 k on the job. Our local ECs were around 1.1 m. The job was design build and the lighting was around 200 k. The low

bidder was using a cost of 22k. A figure not possible for what is required to do what they

wanted. I was very vocal at the time and warned of an accelerated cost later. It went on

deaf ears but here we are

The extra money to get what they wanted. Again competent locals aced out by incompetent

outside electrical contractors.poor management on prior oversight by PBH. Now we are

blessed with them running these overpriced condos which will be trash in just a couple years. How sad!

After an Election Scandal, Fewer Eyes

You must request a ballot to vote in this election.

I immediately went to the site to request ballot(s) for two people who do not have an email address. I was shocked that an Email and Mobile Phone was required. Does this requirement eliminate the chance to vote? If a person does not have a Mobile Phone requirement, I ask the same question, does that eliminate the chance to vote?

Email(required)

Mobile Phone(required)

Rita, they had options, but chose the most difficult one:

Clallam Conservation District had options: third-party election oversight, in-person polling, or public observers.

Instead, the District announced that the 2026 Supervisor Election will be MAIL-IN ONLY - NO IN-PERSON VOTING, NO POLLING SITE, AND A SINGLE DROP BOX closing at 4:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Placing additional requirements of having to have an email and a MOBILE phone is not fair voting. Fair voting could only be achieved if there were alternate ways to get a ballot that would be available to EVERYONE.

Expand full comment
Chris Clark's avatar

There is no oversight on this voting which leads to massive mistrust. They should have to go through the same procedures and process that the county has to go through since they are getting tax payer money 🤬

jedj, so the... "Nearly $200,000 more of taxpayer money"—...is to be absorbed by US, while an outside electrical contractor made a false bid, got the contract, and then got to recover on the false bid?

Too many questionable financial decisions are being quietly passed. Thank you for your comment. I assure you, as you say, the price to support the PBH project will never end. It is doomed to fail. Next years budget isn't even close to what will be needed to run the county (more taxes!)

Wait until the Public Safety Bldg is finished. It was underbid with many mistakes

by low bidder by 1 million dollars.Another outside EC is going to try and make that up. I will guarantee you that this is passed on to us AGAIN. Why do we put up with our money being spent in Seattle and us sending it there. We have fallen asleep to the fact we are broke and it is our fault. This job should have been

rebid. I know you do not want to hear this but at least the

Tribe uses almost 100 % local electricians. Plus they buy almost 100% from local

distributors to the tune of millions. That is kind of a good thing. In this case BASH the decision makers that we elect to spend OUR money to our benefit.

Hold them accountable.

Govt cost over runs by low bidders is a fact. A fact they know the government will pay. It isn’t their money. Besides, what government agency wants an unfinished project that a few thousand dollars can’t fix? Throw money at the project. Just an another line item on the ledger.

Expand full comment

Rita, anybody can sue, but most people will have to spend more money on lawyers than they ever could recover (if you lose, you most likely will have to pay for the defendants lawyer) It's a toss of the dice not worth taking.

Actually, most employment attorneys take the case pro-bono - and in a case of a government entity being the employer, for sure it would be pro-bono. That being said, the government entity will do everything to destroy you. Lawsuits are NO JOKE and this narrative that people are "sue happy" is just not true. No one goes through that for fun, I can promise you that.

I'm sure the attacked transit driver was contacted immediately and compensated to ensure the news cycle of this event stays short, while at the same time it is "played down" by Mike French ensuring that de-escalation training would solve the "small number" of security exclusions (what exactly is a security exclusion?)......
