WTF is wrong with our local governments? Is it the Marxist way of attracting and seeking chaos and dysfunction to attract the undesirable, thereby empowering the politicians to seek more outside funds to launder? Whatever happened to the government "of the people, by the people, and for the people"? It has become a government of drug addicts, bums, rioters, looters, assaulters, and other types of problematic people.

As for the vagrants at the park, “We have great sympathy and empathy for the homeless. However, we are also aware that these particular people who gather there have not been willing to take advantage of the support offered to them.” BINGO. These people WANT a free life, with zero responsibilities. Politicians actively work to attract them. And if one of these women brought a legally carried pistol to protect herself and her friends, SHE would likely be the one hauled off to jail if she had to use it to defend herself. How have our Democrat-run downs become so dysfunctional? Ah, Victor Davis Hansen explains it well: (Apologies for the article whose link is behind a paywall, hence the full text)

A Summation of Leftwing Pathology

By: Victor Davis Hanson

July 16, 22, 2025

Here are the current guiding principles of the Democrats in general, and particularly the growing hard-left base—and indeed, they are emblematic of the left-wing mind across time and space.

1) There is no such thing as “the law.” It is fluid. Its legal validity depends on what the Left considers to be moral. Breaking immigration law, destroying the border, and letting in 10 million illegal aliens are deemed “moral” and thus “legal.” Trying to redress such rampant illegality, to enforce existing laws, and thus to return to their home nations all those who illegally entered and reside in the U.S. is considered immoral and thus deemed illegal. Sanctuary cities are good to shield criminal aliens from ICE detentions, but bad if red states similarly tried to nullify federal laws, such as those involving handguns or, for example, endangered species.

If a Utah red county or city announced that they were exempt from federal gun registration laws, and thus a buyer could walk out with his handgun purchases the same day, the Left would cry “Nullificationist!”, “Secessionist!”, “Insurrectionist!”, and “Neo-Confederate!”

Rioting, burning, assaulting, and killing for 120 days in spring and summer 2020—35 dead, 1,500 officers wounded, 14,000 arrested (but almost all let go), and a police precinct, federal courthouse, and historic church torched—are simply the expressions of the legitimately oppressed and aggrieved. In contrast, the January 6 riot—one person violently killed (a Trump supporter, military veteran, and unarmed female) and far less damage incurred and fewer injured—is a real coup, an insurrection, a violent attempt to overthrow the government, and requires indicting nearly 1,400 in that one-day protest.

2) The Left assumes its superior morality and intelligence demand that what it does to others should never be reciprocated and done to it. No one would dare prosecute Joe Biden for removing over some three decades of classified documents to his multiple unsecured residences and offices—in the manner that the FBI conducted a veritable SWAT raid on Mar-a-Lago for Trump’s removal of some 102 classified documents (out of some 14,000 that were considered his own property or non-classified material). If the current Trump administration conducted a SWAT raid on a major Democratic figure, had impeached Joe Biden twice, orchestrated four lawfare efforts to destroy the 2028 Democrat president frontrunner, or should seek to remove the Democratic nominee from the ballot in 25 red states, the Left would go ballistic—and cry, as it does routinely, that Trump was an autocratic dictator who had warped the law to “punish his political enemies.”

3) One characteristic of leftists is that their appointed leaders must be exempt from the consequences of their own ideology. As our moral and intellectual superiors, they cannot be treated as equals in their vitally important task to ensure that everyone is equal by result. John Kerry must fly private jets and leave a huge personal carbon footprint—to ensure he has the time and relaxation to mandate that everyone else transition from their internal combustion cars to electric vehicles—to ensure they have zero carbon footprints. Democratic grandees must send their children to the nation’s top prep schools to ensure they are properly progressively schooled and thus have the requisite tools as future progressive leaders and voters to ensure the public schools must have teacher unions, freedom from competition from prep and parochial schools, and mandatory teacher tenure. Adam Schiff must pontificate that no one is above the law so that he can be above the law to manipulate his “primary residence” for his financial advantage. Ditto Letitia James, who must commit real estate and mortgage fraud so she can better understand how to prosecute others for those purported crimes.

4) Democrats seek to ensure there are few wealthy and, in general, to restrict the power of the rich. But to accomplish such a gargantuan moral task, Democrat leaders and their friends must be rich—both to understand the mind of the wealthy and to acquire the means to limit all others from becoming well off. Thus, George Soros, the insider trader and short seller, has been willing to undermine the Bank of England (and harm its middle-class depositors and shareholders) and to speculate wildly to the disadvantage of the less well-off. That way, Soros can acquire the billions of dollars necessary to ensure that he has the comfort, affluence, and protected cocoon to successfully prevent others from acquiring the sort of unfair advantages and privileges that Soros himself assumes he and those like him deserve and will never give up.

In the leftist mind, the left-wing rich are never rich because they are greedy, selfish, or lawless, or even just determined to be rich —like all the other rich who supposedly are. Instead, they are reluctantly or incidentally rich simply to monitor and reduce the number of bad people who are the majority of the rich.

Nancy Pelosi leveraged her long political career to help her husband accumulate a stock market and real estate fortune, providing him with the necessary inside knowledge of how impending government policy would impact stock and real estate prices—all so that Nancy Pelosi would be empowered with sufficient funds to assist those in need who lacked her privilege.

The Biden family conglomerate reluctantly sold to the highest foreign bidders Joe’s government offices as a way to make siblings and children rich—but only so they could all be better liberals and thus remain morally superior to the clingers, deplorables, irredeemables, chumps, dregs, and garbage people.

5) Leftists are fixated on race and appoint themselves as the guardians of the nonwhite. But they do so to alleviate their guilt that so often they do not associate with, marry, or school their children among the nonwhite. The ensuing angst of being both elitists and racial segregationists requires squaring the circle of this hypocrisy—and thus Leftists must harangue all others and accuse them of racism.

Once illegal aliens were bused into tony Martha’s Vineyard, the shocked white denizens quickly mobilized to deliver the illegals “care packages” (often of their hand-me-down clothes)—as a rapid requisite to get them out of their enclave as soon as possible. And so, the buses showed up to forcibly transport all the illegals out asap. Gavin Newsom shows his solidarity with the downtrodden illegal aliens of Los Angeles from the distance of his $9-million Marin County mansion and estate, whose location was predicated on the ease of sending his children to the area’s $60,000-a-year private schools.

The Bay Area hyper-caring and compassionate politician—a late Diane Feinstein, a Barbara Boxer, a Nancy Pelosi, a Jerry Brown, a Gavin Newsom, a Kamala Harris—by definition must be a multimillionaire, live in an elite, tony zip code, and explain that how they live does not match what they say and advocate—by championing from a distance those less fortunate and damning those similar to themselves

NOI- Doesn’t seem like the homeless are becoming emboldened and challenging? Like you wrote, “These people WANT a free life, with zero responsibilities.”….and, I have observed, zero boundaries.

In psychology, entitlement mentality is defined as a sense of deserving or being owed a favor when little or nothing has been done to deserve special treatment;[1] the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.

If you give someone with an entitlement mentality something, anything, they will continue to consume it and ask for more until you are fed up or bled out.

Thanks, NOI! Anunnaki rules going back about 300,000 years are at play. These would be the god(s) in the OT which bring horror to the reader, of their savagery and brutality.

We had a partial reprieve for a couple hundred years but they never stop scheming and manipulating.

If I was God, I would either stay far away or sterilize the place (which has happened multiple times through ancient history)...all the abandoned and damaged megaliths around the world attest to big resets here on Earth...or Urantia, depending on which direction it's approached from.

So much to learn...so little time...too soon old...too late smart...that's why they chose to limit our lifespans in the design phase, so we wouldn't live long enough to gain wisdom and pass that on in an exponential manner to following generations...they want us stupid and obedient and many still are...until that changes, not much will change!

I lived in East Oakland for a spell (more than a decade). I lived in West Oakland for a couple of years. In both cases there were vagrants milling about, and some drugged out, down right insane. The cops would never come, period.

The peace keepers, the people who kept things in line were the Grandmothers, the Mothers, and the Aunties who could scold and were forces to be reckoned with. They kept everyone in line. You didn't want to get an earful of their wrath.

Somehow this has been lost. We're all so afraid to speak up, and expect people to act right.

In summary, We The People simply and absolutely should not accept the lack of performance and accountability repeatedly from our elected officials! We should verbosely and consistently demand more on a informal and formal basis. Perhaps we need a significant forming of a registered Sequim Citizen Action Group that forces these issues until resolution!?

With all due respect, Should, could or might, are not action-oriented words. The end of unacceptable actions begins with not accepting them in the first place. Two words, and actions, are imperative; responsibility and accountability, neither of which are optional in a "civilization". The scenarios we are witnessing are only possible because we allow them via fear and inaction; precisely the opposite of those pushing boundaries, "moving the goal posts". The opposing faction(s) feel nothing in the manner of suffering or pain regarding their "enemies", yet virtually most of their propaganda is based on ill-conceived delusions, supposedly for the benefit of all in a socialist utopia; "a chicken in every pot", but who's raising the chickens, cleaning the coop, or preparing the meat for consumption prior to distribution to the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen? We are all individually-responsible for our safety and well-being; however, there are times when power in numbers gets the job done, as we have witnessed during "CHOP" in Seattle. Bear in mind that the people involved in these civil disobedience situations are not the majority; they just make more noise and are aggressive; enter the reason and job of our Police, who are being strong-armed via external money and legal interference through our "law-makers". None of this is new, neo, or nouveau, etc., the playbook is older than dirt. One must know history to be cognizant, and to see it for what it is; just another chapter unfolding, ready to be quashed when the People have had enough.

I love this area-- the ocean influence, fresh air, mountain and ocean vistas, and my friends. Idaho is hotter in the summer and colder in the winter, and there isn't a lot to look at. But, these damned politicians have driven me out with high taxes, Marxist freedom-stripping laws, and totalitarian attitudes. In Idaho, our Congressman listens to us and takes action-- representation-- what a concept. Here, the State Supreme Court reads people's minds and negates their votes, because we "don't understand what we're voting for".

If a meteor hit Olympia and the Clallam County offices, I would change my plans to stay. But I see WA heading like California, San Francisco, and L.A., where politicians seize properties (They're taking Pacific Palisades and turning it into low-income housing). When will the County condemn our properties, pay us pennies on the dollar, and turn them over to the Tribe? Oh wait... 3 Crabs....

There are too many disturbing sights around Sequim. The weak and feeble-minded SSC members would rather deal with easy, feel good, I'm-so-proud-of me issues, like the bird proclamation, instead of tackling the increasing number of homeless and the serious problems they bring. The strong women who seek support and advice to better themselves are disregarded and ignored because they don't generate income for Sequim. I can no longer have sympathy or empathy for the homeless because they are allowed and funded to harass, assault, and litter everyone and everything as they please. Jeff and CCWD have continually reported on specific examples of this blight. Thank you! I'm not in city limits, but I intend to start going to SCC meetings to voice my concerns on these issues.

Be careful what you wish for and I say this because if Sequim, ever got tough on all law breakers (yes, that also includes people with no license plates, no current tabs, speeding etc.) they will all move westward and now fall under the tough rule of law that the Clallam County Commissioners enforce! That will teach them!!!! and am guessing you live in the county. Kicking stones down the road.

Well laws should be enforced equally. Let them get the plate and tab violators. But that can’t justify not addressing other law breakers. Like parking RVs in areas not allowed, littering, obstructing sidewalks, enter driveways, making a squatter mess out of a park. Plus the horrible lack of respect when bodily functions are needed.

Yes shit and pee wherever. If we want to protest, it should be running these jerks out of town! Quit coddling them. I volunteer. Willing to help tow these crap rigs elsewhere. Pass out trespassing citations. Annoy the hell out of those who are wrecking this area. Good people are leaving! How unfair is that? All good ideas except providing a place to set up camp! Sorry if you want them to leave you can’t have both, one has to give. I wonder why we have laws for RV’s, littering, etc., to protect our city if those laws are side stepped for whatever reasons, like personal amendment rights & are unable to enforce the law to begin with? That is false hope & goes nowhere.

Living in one’s car parked anywhere comes to mind or camping on another person’s legal property & unable to evict. The Sequim City Council is not focused on the taxpayers & haven’t been the last 10 years I’ve been going. Their concern has been focused on making this town drug friendly, vagrant friendly, homeless friendly, all things non productive for a city sorry to say & have witnessed.

Rothschilds' 25 Point Plan For World Domination...penned by Adam Weishaupt, 1773

Point #2: Preach 'Liberalism" to usurp political power.

Point #4: Politicians must be cunning and deceptive-any moral code leaves a politician vulnerable.

Point #5: Dismantle "existing forces of order and regulation." "Reconstruct all existing institutions."

Point #6: "Remain invisible until the very moment when it has gained such strength that no cunning or force can undermine it."

Point #9: "Seize properties by any means to secure submission and sovereignty."

Point #11: Choose candidates for public office who will be "servile and obedient to our commands, so they may be readily used as pawns in our game."

Point #12: Use the press for propaganda to "control all outlets of public information, while remaining in the shadows, clear of blame."

Point #13: Make the masses believe they had been the prey of criminals. Then restore order to appear as the Saviors.

Point #16: When the hour strikes for our Sovereign Lord of the entire World to be crowned, their influence (Ozias-French-Allen-Ferguscum, etc.) will banish everything that might stand in his way. (Law and Order)

Point #17: Use systematic deception, high-sounding phrases and popular slogans.

"The opposite of what has been promised can always be done afterwards...That is of no consequence."

Point #21: Use economic warfare. Rob the 'goyim' of their landed properties and industries with a combination of high taxes and unfair competition.

There are 25 all together...this is a written plan being carried out by NWO controllers.

It's an old plan...satan's plan...it has been rolled out repeatedly for thousands of years...this is just the most recent and the most global control in modern history.

The 'net' and the 'web' are military industrial complex creations which are two-edged swords...and we are not in control of the swords.

We can only be in control of our immediate reality and to whatever extent we can reach out to family or neighbor but be fully aware...there will be those who you can help...and those you cannot...discern the difference and act accordingly.

We're on our own in the human realm...hope there is a loving God who is 'on our side' in the end!😎

Where are all the protesting sign holders (against a KING, DOGE, & ICE) who stand at the corners of Washington & Sequim Ave. who never carry signs complaining about local vagrants? Are they blind to all the local vagrancy, druggies & crime? Are they afraid to outwardly protest for fear of local retaliation or is this part of the socialist plan? This is an easily fixable local problem that can be resolved and won if those same sign holding people truly wanted better LOCAL living conditions. Most want to sit back and blame Trump for it all while those that protest contributed to creating and allowing the conditions we are currently dealing with.

Lastly a BIG Thank You for the Olympia Legislators who during the last legislative session continued their crackdown on your right to carry and bear arms and buy ammo! Why would you want to carry a weapon in Sequim under the lovely conditions as seen in the photos at the end of the article.

Carry on Jeff! Commendable job and service you provide in this news barren wasteland!

This fiasco of the pooping homeless and the City NOT keeping promises to keep our city safe...is Boll Sh!t. Im confident that police want these trouble-making guys gone, but are prevented from doing their job by the azz hat politicians and bleeding heart liberals. The City Council and Mayor are a bunch of jerks, happily lining their pockets and laughing at us....all the way to the bank.

The Women’s Resiliency Group is connected to the Calvary Chapel, physically and spiritually. I believe that if those men have refused help, then the Chapel as a whole, should tell them to leave the premises and remove their garbage. If that doesn't work then they need to relocate, and not be next to a public park where the laws protect the vagrants rights to exist as is. It's a catch 22 for them, isn't it?

I don't know if Cavalry Chapel has talked to the men about leaving but i can hear those guys saying "this is a city park and we don't give a rats patootie what you think!" These guys have been carefully taught to stand on city property - notice at Safeway where they stand. Or they are on state property like the River Road exit. Or they park their vehicle in the right of way - not on private property. This seems to be a shared problem with PA. How about Forks? PT? Blyn?

Oh yeah, they know how to work it. They have cell phones, etc. Free food, everything. City change the laws! Then enforce the laws.

Didn't notice much in Forks or Port Townsend but I didn't look everywhere in those towns.🤔

I used to read the PT paper and the PT local police and sheriffs people used to each write a very readable and enjoyable column on actual weekly cases they had dealt with. They would note the day, the time, the "story", and the resolution (e.g. issued a No Trespass citation"). Seems like they handed out at least one a week of the No Trespass. Business owners seemed to like to see those issued. Do Sequim business owners make use of this tool? Maybe a week or so in the South Sudan might help attitude readjustment?

That was before they intentionally imported hundreds of these sub-humanoids...it's all part of the plan.😎

Is that the 100k being collected by a church to use their parking lot for over night vagrants? How very Christian of them, putting the burden on citizens. I don’t think it should be paid. Screw accommodating them. They weren’t invited. They don’t leave, once moved they mess up another place.

Everyone realizes this is crazy! These aren’t voters, volunteers, good citizens, contributors to society!

Looks like many churches do that, but I could not find anything about this church that is renting their lot out. But would not surprise me.

Voting has been broken for a long time, Bill.

Mail-in-voting and computer tallying and partisan auditing...it's a farce.

As long as we keep paying our taxes, we are screwed!😎
