Good Governance Daily Proverb:

Good governance distinguishes between moral expression and problem-solving.

Caring motivates policy—but evidence, transparency, and feedback determine whether it actually works.

*This book introduces the concept of expressive voting, arguing that many political actions are symbolic rather than outcome-oriented. Voters (and policymakers) often support positions because they express identity or moral stance, not because they expect the policy to be effective. This framework is foundational for understanding how “virtue signaling” can emerge in democratic systems without malicious intent.

Edelman, M. (1964). The symbolic uses of politics. University of Illinois Press.

*A classic text in public policy and political science, Edelman explains how governments use symbolic actions—laws, programs, or rhetoric—to reassure the public and manage anxiety, even when substantive capacity to solve problems is limited. This work directly underpins the distinction between symbolic policy and outcome-driven governance.

*Festinger’s theory explains how individuals experience psychological discomfort when their beliefs, values, and actions conflict. People reduce this discomfort by changing beliefs or engaging in compensatory actions. It's all wrapped up as climate change because it makes people feel good and think that it's helping the crisis we're told is happening. What it really is takes some discernment and my take is that it's all about income redistribution and buying votes. If you've ever seen the Washington State Department of Commerce Facebook page it becomes clear that it's nothing but another taxing mechanism frittered away by popular policy in Olympia, and supported by the likes of Ozias.

Great comment Patriot MK~!

Too many generations of Americans have been tricked into choosing poorly WAY too many times, so now the bill is coming due and payable to those of us who remain to pay the tab~! The REAL pain and suffering have not yet become apparent to most, and I pray that "we" are spared the fate that has been well earned by previous generations but keep the faith and hang in there my friend~!

I have been involved with several construction jobs with the added costs of solar requirements added to the cost of the project. The overall savings versus the cost is usually about a 20 to 25 year payback which in most cases exceeds the life of the building especially the low cost housing like the PBH project. The NOLS project has a solar cost

in it that is outrageous and does not even give them what they want. Solar is not working on saving any green carbon crap they have portrayed as saving America. It is another hoax that government is continuing us and our money. How many of these decision makers have solar powering their houses? Probably none since it is not cost effective.

Michael Heath's avatar

Excellent comment Patriot jedjennings50~!

Yes, at best, the solar power technology that is available to the general public here in the Pacific Northwest is only "paying for electricity in advance" and NOT a real savings or competent Investment by any stretch of the imagination. As you probably know the common solar power installations actually quickly lose their effectiveness over time, so 20 to 30 years later they barely function at all. Add to that the fact that the old solar systems that have reached the end of their effective life have to be removed (and possibly replaced by another ineffective solar system), and the scam becomes obvious. As an old "real estate appraiser" (analyst) I can also assure you that the "negative appearance" of these solar systems on the typical homes value, is NOT offset by the installation costs involved, which most people never seem to understand (but the real estate market definitely does). If these solar power installations REALLY worked as advertised, everyone would have them on their properties and the government would NEVER offer any incentives~!!! Another even more serious economic consideration is the "opportunity cost" analysis, where other economic choices would clearly have performed better. I know one local "potato headed" sucker who paid over $20,000.00 cash for a basic solar system on his home about four years ago or so. Had he Invested that same $20K in Silver, he would have more than tripled his Investment (even at today's HIGHLY manipulated market prices). He could still buy that same poorly designed solar system today for about the same $20K, but he would have an additional $50K+++ to Invest elsewhere if he wanted after just four years... I am an accomplished Economist, and I tried to warn him, but of course he "always knows better"~! I can't remain close to people like that because it is too painful trying to talk with them and worse, they are exactly the sort who will drag you down with them when they crash and burn~! Thank you for your honest remarks~!

Sincerely, Mike

I bought silver at 17 and sold at 33. I am the dummy that did not think it would go to $118( now $76). That said the solar investment is worse than taxes

Michael Heath's avatar

Happy Friday, Patriot Jedjennings50~!

That is actually very good, buying Silver at $17 and riding it to $33~! It is a very smart move to be proud of~! Yes, you would have made more if you held on, but as a professional Investor I always tell folks not to fall for the old "woulda coulda shoulda" crappola! Don't defeat yourself, because the government does not like competition while they are constantly trying to defeat you as well! HA~! You doubled your money in just a couple of years or so and many top Investors would be more than happy to do that ;-) Yes, Silver does seem to be a little high right now to many folks, even after it just dropped in value, however I have been a precious metals analyst since the early 80's and "we" (the world) is now in a COMPLETELY different place. I sold my Gold over the past few years, at a decent profit, however I am doing my best to hang onto the Silver that I have left because I seriously doubt it will remain under $100 for all that long. The crooks and criminals at JP Morgan just triggered the drop in Silver to make a killing in the market and they have done that with "paper Silver & Gold" many times before. They get fined many millions of dollars, but they make BILLIONS, so it is just the cost of doing business for them and so far, no one has gone to prison... If President Trump and the white hats are really working to "drain the swamp" to save America, as I believe that they are, then "we" should see MASSIVE fines being levied against these evil Banksters that really punishes them for defrauding & manipulating the Futures Market. I would not be too surprised if some of the criminals do actually go to prison in the future as well... That needs to happen to stop these evil scumbags from robbing the market by rigging these systems with worthless paper Silver & Gold contracts. Silver is a superior Investment to Gold right now because of the Industrial and Military uses (demand), so make your own decisions and never give up. The fundamentals for Silver are VERY strong for the rest of this year & long term ;-) The difference between the average Investor and a professional Investor is superior Information (analysis) and VERY powerful patience, which is really why most average folks "buy high and sell low" because they lack Information and/or patience... No one is perfect all of the time, but folks who make solid decisions 70 to 80% of the time always do the best... Oh, and I can tell you that I have personally know that President Trump is a HUGE "Gold bug" directly from my personal first hand knowledge, so he is also very likely a "Silver bug" as well, and I am very sure that he wants to clean up the crooked Gold & Silver markets in the future... I could tell you exactly how I know that President Trump is a HUGE Gold bug and it would blow your mind, but I guaranty that he totally understands and respects Gold as an Investor~! I never met anyone who respected Gold, which is in fact God's money, who didn't also COMPLETELY respect Silver as well... Congratulations on your Silver move, now what are you going to do with your Investment bucks? There are some absolutely tremendous historic Investment opportunities out there right now... History proves that the majority of the best Investment opportunities are to be made during times of great turmoil, and anyone who does not realize that these are the MOST tumultuous time in recent history right now is in fact literally Insane~! Ha~! I am not trying to lure you into any specific Investment, but the best way to feel great about your Silver profit, is to always have your next Investment options already researched and thought out ;-)) Good luck with all that you do~!

Have a mellow evening and a fun weekend~!

Sincerely, Mike

The commissioners, the Auditor, and Sound Bank did not respond to yesterday's emails regarding the League of Women Voters. Here is today's question to the commissioners:

Dear Commissioners,

Would the Board consider sending a formal letter to our state legislators in Olympia—or, given Commissioner Ozias’s role as WSAC president and Commissioner French’s position on the legislative steering committee, leveraging Clallam County’s membership in the Washington State Association of Counties—to formally raise the disproportionate impact the Climate Commitment Act (CCA) is having on rural communities on the Olympic Peninsula, where increased freight and supply-chain costs function as a hidden surcharge on groceries, fuel, medicines, building materials, and other essentials, while many CCA-funded programs appear to favor certain entities and interests over the households, small businesses, and farms that are absorbing the cost; our constituents deserve clear representation and an honest accounting of how these policies are affecting rural Clallam County.

Dr. Sarah's avatar

Below is a modeled good-governance reply that connects constituent concern to evidence, authority, and next steps.

Dear Constituent,

Thank you for raising this concern. The issue you describe is supported by both local data and broader research.

Clallam County’s Community Health Assessments have long documented that rural households face lower median incomes, higher transportation dependence, and greater exposure to freight-driven price increases (Clallam County Health and Human Services [CCHHS], 2022). In geographically isolated areas such as the Olympic Peninsula, increases in fuel and compliance costs tend to be passed through to consumers, functioning as a hidden surcharge on essential goods, including groceries, fuel, medicines, and building materials.

At the state level, agencies acknowledge that Climate Commitment Act (CCA) compliance costs may be reflected in fuel and transportation prices (Washington State Department of Ecology, 2023). Federal research further shows that rural residents experience these impacts more acutely due to longer travel distances, limited alternatives, and greater reliance on freight-intensive supply chains (U.S. Department of Agriculture Economic Research Service [USDA ERS], 2021; U.S. Energy Information Administration [EIA], 2022).

While counties do not administer or amend the CCA, commissioners are responsible for documenting regional impacts and communicating them to state policymakers. Clallam County’s participation in the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) provides an appropriate channel for raising rural cost-burden concerns with the Legislature.

If a commissioner brings this forward, the appropriate next step would be a Board work-session discussion to review available data and determine whether to pursue further analysis or formal communication through WSAC or direct correspondence with legislators. This approach ensures transparency and alignment with the requirements for collective decision-making under the Open Public Meetings Act (RCW 42.30).

Ensuring that statewide policies are evaluated against their real-world impacts on rural communities is a legitimate part of county governance, and I appreciate your request for clear representation and accountability.

Respectfully,

Commissioner

Jeff, you did it again! Another solid expose on why we are hurting so badly here in Clallam County. It's because our elected politicians are beholden to those who hold the purse strings and not to the citizens. We all know politics has been, is, and always will be dirty. We just want someone who can hold his/her own against blatant corruption and fight, fight, fight for the common man/woman struggling to survive. We can change towards the better with one simple act:

VOTE JAKE SEEGERS 2026!!

So the Democrats raise the business taxes and gas taxes and income taxes so they can rail about Trump making our nation more unaffordable. Then they give the tax money to the tribes. The tribes give the money to their buddies like Mark Ozias and LaTrisha Suggs as protection money to get them reelected. Rinse and repeat every year.

Climate change efforts are feel good virtue signaling. If society was sincere about climate change solar flares and volcanoes should be the targets. If not those, then the real problem which is human population. Human life and all other life are inversely proportional. Roughly 300,000 years to reach one billion and the last 300 years added another seven billion. An unsustainable trend.

Denise Lapio's avatar

I know you and I will always disagree on the human population debate, but I agree with you on the climate change debate. The damage that solar panels, wind mills, and batteries inflict upon the environment is alarming. China manufactures these "climate friendly" apparatus, but it doesn't use them. Who else thinks this is suspicious?

Don Beeman's avatar

In his 1994 book, “All the Trouble in the World,” P. J. O’Rourke looked at population. He wrote that all the people in the world could fit in Texas. I’m thinking it was only three counties (King County is huge. Probably one?). Thirty or thirty-five story apartments were required. Might take all of Texas today.

Recently, I heard a different take. For Texas to have the same population density as New York City, all of the people in the world would have to move there. True?

There’s a chemical that makes us sense that there are more people present than in actuality. Guess which one. While blaming population has the left been pushing abortion and that chemical on us?

The connection of the tribes to the Democrats today, in my opinion, has to do with population. Death cultists of a feather flock together. Their mutual agenda, idol worship, rivers, salmon, “sacred” land, phony “stewardship,” ?and more, all indicate it.

Garry Blankenship's avatar

The Chinese Government, ( not all of Chinese origin ), lies, cheats and steals. Nothing suspicious about their practices. Not looking for a war, but do you see any human population amount that might be too many for Earth to support ? So many species fading while humans multuply.

Garry, we will have differing guesses. I do know that I won't live long enough to ever find out if either of us was right.

I don’t see a big bunch of babies being born to the 30 something year olds.

When China declared one child per couple they had to change course bc we need workers, paying into systems, (social security) and buying consumables, and houses etc. This state has mucked it up for first time home buyers but why settle here. It’s lovely, but it’s almost unsustainable, oh yes and the rain!

Don Beeman's avatar

No, you are wrong. God knows how many souls He has and how many more need to be born of woman. He will not allow puny man to destroy His creation. He will do it and not too long from now. It won’t be because of the climate or population.

Garry Blankenship's avatar

As I said, the trend is unsustainable. Somebody needs to do something. God it is.

Don Beeman's avatar

I don’t believe more people is what is unsustainable. What is unsustainable is more people who are unproductive and allowed to take from others. In addition to the obvious, add those who are trusted to keep society functioning well but don’t. They’ve been allowed to create more and bigger problems while deliberately failing at simple time tested tasks, so they can demand more.

Meanwhile we have lost freedoms like making work contracts with others. More work could be done with less drain on society without a minimum wage. “Two hours of pushin’ broom buys an eight by twelve four bit room.”

What could be done re: mass transit and nuclear without minimum and “prevailing wages.”

It’s not population. It’s deliberately creating shortages where there is no scarcity. It’s phony crises and manipulation.

And something evil.

Time to revisit Nuremberg. The Democrats are now a cult, a criminal cabal creating victims a la “Stalin’s Chicken” style. They found some history most of us have forgotten (Tenement House Acts, Teddy Roosevelt and Samuel Gompers, and Jacob Riis) and have reversed the good to make people sick, crazy, violent, criminal, and dependent on government or dead.

Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy

Dependency is power for them.

Start talking “crimes against humanity.” My indictment of the CDC, Centers for Disease Control of America and Prevention of Truth, should be all you need for a start. Millions of indoor exhaled CO2 damaged and dead children and adults (not including abortions) while the FBI and “The Law” looked the other way.

Let some people know their “just following orders” will not cut it this time either.

Come down hard on all the public health types for the cover up and damage. On their facilitators and protectors too, especially the media and anyone censoring the facts, the truth.

Don’t forget those who have been lying about the climate and using fear to force higher exhaled CO2 in tighter poorly ventilated buildings, which is a false savings of energy. It causes us to use more as explained in the link.

conspAIRacy.com/evilcdc.html

What are the attributes of a cult? No disagreements allowed. Why are Dems in Congress always voting in lockstep with the exception of when their vote doesn’t matter and they need to fool the folks back home? Then there’s sacrificing children. Add making children pass through the fire. Their innocence is not protected; it’s trashed. Real men and women would not trouble children with climate change even if it were true. They wouldn’t throw all the sex stuff at them so early or use the power of suggestion to make them question their own sexuality during a normal time of confusion. They wouldn’t harangue them about college or create worse than useless majors and cripple them with fraudulent debt. All techniques to get and keep them in the cult.

Surgeons and doctors have been acting very stupidly. They have allowed the insurance companies and government to take over. They are afraid. “First, do no harm” is now a joke. Do what the cult says even abortions and gender mutilation of children.

conspAIRacy.com/theconspirators.html

Examine the so-called “crowding” or “overcrowding” experiments. “Universe 25” is often cited. They were all faulty. The CO2 level was not controlled or even mentioned. It is possible to have extreme crowding with low CO2. How do we know that? On the other hand, high CO2 with only a few individuals creates the same problems.

Take a moment to consider prices and availability of commodities should the Hood Canal Bridge be taken out by another storm or for replacement, as is being proposed. Some of us "natives" have already lived the scenario in 1979, but there are many more people living on the Olympic Peninsula now than were at that time, and for those businesses who depend on tourism, it's a different world, waiting in line for ferries to cross the 'Canal, which currently, are in short supply. We also ecxperienced landslides along Hood Canal, closing Highway 101, east. I can only imagine the out-cry from the port side, and how taxes would need to triple to expedite an accelerated construction of a new bridge, engineering human error/failure into the design, such as occurred on Feb,13, 1979. The only other access to the NOP is via Olympia/Shelton or Hoquiam/Aberdeen, when we become essentially "Olympic Island." Yes, let's talk about climate, shall we?

Bones of contention. February 6, 2026

“I could agree with you, but then we both would be wrong.”

I admit to personal bias, however I am not an elected official nor bound to an oath to represent my constituency. If our country is to survive we need neutrality within our management ranks. We can accept prejudice, but it needs to be open.

The recent postings in Clallam County Watchdog raise red flags about power. The League of Women Voters no longer is an advisory group, (Advisory. As an adjective, it means providing counsel or having the power to advise, rather than making binding decisions.) They have become adversarial. (Adversarial. Being adversarial means that each side is antagonistic, sharply opposed to the other, or locked into a deeply divided rivalry.)

For a democracy to survive we need to allow differences of opinion. We should thrive with these freedoms. If, however, each group demands allegiance to a controlling set of beliefs we lose that freedom of expression. It comes down to “sticks and stones”. It is no longer unbiased. Now it is about power and control. Actions now appear to be self-serving.

I have expressed concern over several actions within our Clallam County that appear controlling, prejudicial, and definitely not representative. If one wishes to advocate say so. If one is elected on the basis of being neutral and representative you must be careful what you say and what you do.

Once you take sides with this group or that group you are branded. You no longer can claim to be neutral and representative to a total constituency that elected you. Regardless of the reasons for this bias, you cannot claim neutrality. It is when our elected officials waffle back and forth, supporting both sides at the same time they lose creditability and trust. You cannot obey two masters.

As a taxpayer in Clallam County, I believe I should have preference regarding how our tax money is spent. Somehow the appearance of actions by our elected officials is directed to individuals and groups outside our constituency. We see money being directed to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s). Who are these people? We see preference regarding funds directed to tribal entities; Sovereign Nations. These priorities mean less for non-tribal activities. I describe this as Robin Hood in Reverse. Robin has a large sack of money that no one can see. I want our elected officials to expose these secret deals and hidden meetings. Once we have this transparency we can evaluate the taxing and spending patterns. For me, the bottom line is spend less and make better use of our income. We should never be in debt.

I have mentioned the word governance before. I think it is reasonable that our elected officials guide our county with skill and preference for voters in our county. Those who pay should be first in line for benefits. Those activities that support wasted effort and projects with poor goals or weak objectives should be stopped. (i.e. Harm Reduction, Climate Commitment Act, separate pre-proposal sessions for tribes, etc.)

Once you officials make your opinions, and bias, known we can agree, or disagree. If however, as an elected official you start controlling the thoughts and actions of your constituents in order for them to gain access to your office you have broken your oath of office. You no longer are an advocate of your constituency. Change your ways, or resign.

Just like "The Spotted Owl" fake science lies that was used to all but completely destroy the entire economic health of the Pacific Northwest for decades, these criminals of humanity have now "upped" their game to terrorize the entire world into believing that their phony "Climate Change predictions" are the end of humanity if "we" don't surrender our freedoms, rights, and of course monies to the government~! Do people REALLY believe that if "we" surrender our freedoms, rights, and money to "THE GOVERNMENT", that the government will actually "fix" climate change??? Unbelievable~! As a young child I learned the odd human response that if "we" Individually think about how hot or cold a day is, that it really will appear to be even hotter or colder than it really is. Merely focusing upon the heat or the cold, does make Individuals who do so feel that it is more extreme/worse than it really is. I have seen this odd mental response/technique of humans being weaponized and deployed on folks today, where some otherwise decent folks actually believe that they are experiencing usual extreme climate events, when in fact they are climate events that are within the historic normal range. Of course, it was recently officially revealed by The US Department of Defense that they have had what are commonly called "Directed Energy Weapons" (D. E. W's) for many years now. The D. E. W's come in many different platforms that have been used in many different evil - criminal applications. One of the better-known DEW platforms is the HAARP project in Alaska, which is in reality a Department of Defense weather weapon platform that can and does trigger all sorts of wild weather events far from Alaska itself. Unfortunately, this evil "climate change" scam was very intentionally "invented" to give cover to the active DEW weather weapon assaults, so that the average Individual would not only buy the fake science, but many would fall for the scam SO hard that they would actually willingly support their own destruction~! We are all being played for fools and in SO many ways it really is beyond the capabilities of most folks to even remotely understand what is going on. I know that my words will be well received by the few who already understand what I am attempting to say, however I also fully understand that most won't give much thought to what I am saying because they have been ruthlessly Brainwashed to automatically assume that I am a "Conspiracy Theory Nut" so they will "truncate" (disconnect) from their own level of common sense reasoning... That is a death sentence for those Individuals and everyone else, because the DEW programs, after MANY decades of research and development paid for by OUR tax dollars, are now fully capable of starting terrible lethal fires (Paradise California, Lahaina Maui - Hawaii, Southern California, etc.). They can and do also cause absolutely wild & deadly weather events like storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods. I also understand that the DEW.s can even be used to trigger Tsunami's and earthquakes... What people have been tricked into doing is to "overfocus" on weather as "the enemy" all while these dastardly DEW programs have been and are being deployed to absolutely destroy our environment and slaughter "us"~! COVID was FAR from the only depopulation attack upon humanity~! While I am grateful for the few positive responses that my words here may receive because it does give me some level of hope to know that I am not alone, I know that most won't give any thought to what I am saying and I REALLY don't want to hear the same old "I am sorry, but I didn't know" after it is too late to do anything about this out-of-control government that is being run by the most evil criminals of humanity who have the most deadly weapon capabilities in history~! Disbelieving and ignoring those who are risking everything to help America and Americans, is as lethal as underestimating our true enemies, but doing both can only end in a catastrophe of epic proportion~! Judging from the publicly recorded reports from those in the Venezuelan military detail that was guarding Madero when he was recently captured and arrested for his crimes, which I invite everyone to take a couple of minutes to read ASAP, it may well already be too late for America and humanity as we have known it because the technology that the government possesses is MANY decades beyond what the average American remotely understands~! Do "WE" really want to be taken down by these completely criminally corrupt two-bit shysters in Washington State and our own treasonous scumbags right here in our community? HA~! While most Americans have been working hard to have a reasonable life, in spite of the constant assault of unconstitutional crimes against all of us by our own government, I have been focusing my life on discovering what is really going on behind this total maze of lies and deceptions that we have all been bombarded by. I have NEVER, not even once, seen a case where those in power were engaged in "less than transparent" activities, when it was later discovered that nothing wrong was going on~! If the process is not transparent, there is ALWAYS criminal behavior that is being actively covered up~! I really don't know what fate will befall us, but I do know that the complete idiots who currently believe that they are profiting from these government scams that Jeff Tozzer and others are heroically revealing, will suffer the same fate as all of the rest of us (or possibly even worse). Prayer is great; however, I do believe that it has long been said that "God only helps those, who help themselves"~! Have a great weekend and may we fast learn how to help ourselves~!!!

Sincerely, Mike

I am certain we are being played by people with evil intentions. They are against nuclear while claiming we face an “existential threat” from man-made CO2 caused global warming. If the threat were existential, it would be “all hands on deck,” right? No option would be over looked. All would be on the table.

The “global warming” lie and the “energy shortage” lie are the rationale and thumbscrews to force Americans to accept and endure higher exhaled CO2 in tighter poorly ventilated homes, schools, offices, etc.. Keep looking up while the real problem is in your noses, lungs, and blood. They won’t address the harm this is causing. In fact, they deny any harm and manufacture phony reasons to try to explain away the harm.

Nor will they examine whether tighter buildings are a false savings. In my piece about the evil CDC, I explain how it causes more not less energy use. (And I have more reasons now).

Perhaps the crown jewel is “peer review,” which was implemented at the same time global warming and energy lies were invented and tighter buildings were required. It is ‘prior to publication’ censorship designed to keep their lies from being exposed and you from learning the truth.

There are no “greenhouse gases” because earth is not a greenhouse. No gas makes a greenhouse warm unless it’s the propane in the heaters, otherwise it’s the greenhouse GLASS that can make a greenhouse warm. No gas has the properties of that glass, nor does the earth.

It’s the solid nature of glass and rigidity of the glass walls and roof that keeps the wind, snow, rain, etc. out while allowing light to pass through but blocking infrared radiation, IR, from escaping to the atmosphere.

The earth has no rigid walls like a greenhouse. The atmosphere expands and contracts. Wind, snow, etc. can pass through CO2 molecules in the atmosphere, even more easily when the air expands with warming.

Three bands representing about 15% of the IR spectrum are involved when talking about CO2 versus 100% for glass. It is claimed that the CO2 absorbs the IR electromagnetic radiation in the 3 bands. These are the wavelengths or frequencies at which the carbon-oxygen bonds in CO2 resonate, are excited. Excitation suggests motion. Motion is not heat. What would be the source of friction within the CO2 molecule to generate heat and radiate IR?

“Greenhouse gas” is a corruption of language, the kind the left is famous for. “Atmospheric rivers,” “King tides,” and “bomb cyclones” are additional examples. Then there’s the old standby, “gun violence.” Again, there are no such things. They are concocted to deceive, panic, and stampede.

The earth was once super hot (estimated at 3,680 degrees Fahrenheit) and the air was mostly CO2 (all the carbon had been burned, incinerated, cremated, oxidized into CO2). If CO2 causes warming, the earth could not have cooled, ever.

The temperature portion of the laws for the solubility of a gas in a liquid tells us that warming is the cause of the rise in CO2 in the air. Anyone who has opened a carbonated beverage container has witnessed CO2 bubbles escaping as the liquid warms. Every ocean, lake, pond, river, swamp, bog, bit of moist earth has its own source of CO2, some of which will be released with warming. If CO2 really caused warming, there would be a positive feedback loop leading to catastrophe. It’s never happened before and never will. CO2 does not cause warming.

Remember “global warming” is really not about warming. It’s about slower cooling. If CO2 works as claimed, it cannot cause warming in a cooling period, and it could only boost temperatures if in a warming period.

And, if CO2 works as claimed, it seems there is an easy way to test that. Look for a change in the rate of cooling. Higher temperatures do not provide proof. However, if the difference between day time high temperatures and night time low temperatures were to decrease, that could be a strong argument supporting CO2 as an agent causing warming.

Why haven’t we seen such data? Must be it doesn’t help the cause of man-made CO2 caused “global warming.”

Spring is probably best for research as the daily variations in temperature are greatest.

It would demand a lot of data. In addition, looking at the change after one hour, two hours, etc. could be informative as it may minimize the impact of changes in the weather, a new system moving in. Avoid “heat islands” and other unnatural conditions.

The following has been going on for months. The Port of Port Angeles has approved a lease with Project Macoma .This project is testing a technology that pull seawater to make it less less acidic and than returns it to the harbor. The process increases the water’s capacity to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, potentially helping atmospheric carbon removal. Huh. Ocean about 70% of world area. How could you possibly ramp this up to be beneficial. Way beyond me, which is becoming easier everyday. Company is from California, if that helps. Worth a lookup.

Your skepticism is warranted. The company is Ebb Carbon. The project name is Macoma. Department of Energy described it when operating in Sequim as able to remove 100 tons of CO2 from the seawater per year and claimed this as the output of 50 cars. (Less than 25 cars if the national average miles per car is used).

100 tons of CO2 per year x 2,000 pounds per ton/20 pounds of CO2 per gallon of gas = 10,000 gallons of gas per year.

10,000 gallons of gas x 30 miles per gallon (average) = 300,000 miles.

For 50 cars, 300,000 miles/50 cars = 6,000 miles per car, average.

The Geek Wire reporting on the Port Angeles site said 250 tons per year without equating it to number of cars.

250 tons per year x 2,000 pounds per ton/20 pounds of CO2 per gallon = 25,000 gallons per year.

Yes, this a big nothing. In the 1970s, ARCO began closing stations that weren’t pumping at least 100,000 gallons per MONTH,

Hope this helps. I’ll have more.

Thank you. I would thank the bigger problem is taxpayer funded for what I do not know. Can not wait for dredging harbor by the mill. If a killer whale swam into the end where the man made mill pond was,one would think it did not sense anything so wrong that requires spending millions. Just because something may be there does not mean you have to stir it up.Not to mention sunken logs, and then trying to spread an even thickness of sand on top.

Thank you for informing me of this. I have some old writings and suspect fraud. Will revisit my stuff and try to offer something tomorrow.

The hypocrisy of Mr. Allen’s T-shirt message shown in the November 21 news article photo is laughable considering the majority of his ancestors were immigrants from Europe. He pushes a not-so-subtle divisive message.
