The commissioners did not respond to an email asking how many people are entering treatment compared to how many people are continually revived with Narcan and remain in addiction. Here is today's email to the commissioners:
Dear Commissioners,
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental Justice are listed as important factors in the planning process for the Community Wildfire Protection Plan drafted for the County.
How do DEI and Environmental Justice factor into wildfire preparedness and mitigation in Clallam County?
When residents think about wildfire planning, they typically think about reducing fuels, protecting homes, improving evacuation routes, and making sure emergency resources are available when they are needed. Please explain how DEI considerations directly contribute to those wildfire preparedness goals.
Mike is a Democratic Socialist trying to build back better. That's what your getting when you vote for him. He leaped at the opportunity to administer the re-compete funds because that was intended to be a tool for a whole community to create and connect people to living-wage, local jobs in Clallam and Jefferson counties. First thing he did was hire a lady who hated male Colonizers. From the get go the NODC program intended to "build back better." They made sure a person of color will create the job and then made sure the Peninsula college trained the "oppressed."
And we have to pretend that is not what is happening.
It reminds me of the kid who constantly whines that it is his turn to play quarterback, but then, the moment he gets his chance under center, he panics and just throws the ball up for grabs. Then that same kid that couldn't play QB can rattle off the table of elements, be an artists or map the human genome. That development process has to happen naturally based on competence and merit, not by handing the keys over to oppression vendors like Commissioner Mike French.
Instead of supporting the actual job creators and established businesses who drive our local economy, these public funds are being diverted toward ideological agendas and demographic targeting. Mike is at the controls of this prioritizing resources based on political frameworks rather than economic competence.
Mike is willing to alienate the broader community and undermine true productivity to watch somebody with an oppression" get their shot at "sharing the wealth." True growth will only happen when capital goes to those who know how to build and create, not when it is used to filter opportunity through a lens of grievances. The Peninsula College of all places will not be able to teach chicken poop to be chicken salad.
Mike French is an oppression vendor. When you vote for Mike French you are voting for an oppression vendor. They try to make Jake a Republican. All the while trying to hide that Mike French is an oppression vendor.

The money to create "defensive space" has been there for over a year. No attempt to get the grant have been made because the state is suing the policy. This is just another area where Mike may want try to take a position but can't follow through because hiring without the equity filter crews up their warm and fuzzy Communists plan to lead from the bottom.
So if they start hiring regular, they can't hand all the jobs to the "oppressed." They have a policy to let it burn, and they will never change it. They have a policy to "give power and resources to people of color," and they will never change it. They have a policy to create "willing seller willing buyer" and they will never change it. They brainwash people into thinking they are "oppressed' and they succeed. Soon they are holding swastika signs and promoting Charlie Kirk memes.
My key takeaway here is the phrase, used repeatedly, "Tribal properties are exempt." So, when the tribe quits watering its properties in the name of "conservation, I will, too. Enough with the double standards.
Every county has a conservation district. Only one county has a guy promoting forest fire damage and Hindustan levels of poop in your water to save himself five bucks. If the conservation district wasn't there, he'd be complaining that no one was doing anything.
