As to Council person Lowe. Her claims of racism because of brown skin is the soft racism controlling people like herself use works against people with no brains.
She operates from a self-fullfilling, made-up, belief. In this day and age society is chock full of mixed-race people. She's likely one of these people given the chances her blood quantum isn't 100%. Show me a picture of a S'Klalllam person in 1865 and I'll grant you that this person would clearly be seen as a brown skinned native American. Looking at pictures of Lowe there's absolutely no way that I could stare at her long enough and come to the conclusion that I would deduce that she is native American. It's in her head, and she's using a qualifier of an attribute of race to elecit an outcome.
Instead of recognizing that there could have been a multitude of reasons why a landlord didn't choose her, she went to race because it's the only logical explanation in "her" head. That's not an aspersion directly against her, it's how human brains operate, especially those that have been reinforced by racial propaganda.
As an example. If I'm overweight and get a strange stare from someone am I likely to attribute it to the perspective I see myself in? Can I possibly appreciate that maybe, just maybe, I did something else along an unspoken moral code that offended them and weight wasn't even a factor?
Human brains must have attached brain cells to function properly. We can see the consequences of the detachment with the lunatic riots destroying their own neighborhoods and country.
I agree with you MK, I feel most natives use this tool one too many times. I have worked with 10 different tribes throughout the state. I don’t see them as natives, I see them as people. This country is a melting pot, the division that everyone is spreading is making the division more than ever before. All this stupid wokeness, elite attitudes, I was here first crap, your creating the division.
I feel the charter review got no where for us tax payers, what a waste of tax payer money and time. All of you were suppose to be bi partisan but it sure shows who was running the show. Judgement day will come
“ People are tired of paying for a government that treats them like the enemy.” That sums it up very well. Keep up the high quality criticism. It is much needed. Ironic that these same demagogues proudly picket at No Kings rallies.
The only thing "exhilarating" I can imagine anyone on the CRC felt was getting one over on the electorate, when emotions and ideology won over the will of the people by a handful of mis-representatives.
Divided we Fall. We need to remind ourselves we need unity. I wrote the following as a reminder. Divided we Fall, Part 2 December 2025
Jack Devine wrote an article last summer titled “Divided we Fall”. We are divided. We have repeated power plays not only in Congress, but in many of our state organizations. I keep asking who benefits from this wrangling?
All thinking people know, or should know, we cannot prosper if we use our energies fighting one another. We elect representatives to lead. We want responsible people in office that view ALL our citizens worthy of improvement in their well-being. Negotiate our differences and solve problems.
So, why do we see the continuing attacks on issues that contribute to that improvement? If we encourage lawlessness we all lose. If we encourage drug sales and usage, we all lose. If we fail to teach our children to read and write and calculate our children suffer. Are our elected officials acting responsibly regarding our spending? Personal accountability should be in the forefront of all our elected officials. Keep asking what actions improve the lives of your constituents.
These goals should be rather simple. Improve individual opportunities and income.(jobs) Improve security throughout our nation in every location. (enforce the law) Work toward better education, accessible housing, available healthcare, Make lives better.
To do this we all need to work together. Divided we fall.
Encourage our entire citizenry to work on these issues. Improve family unity. Work to improve personal stability and income. Teach responsibility and truth. Take on the idea of being a contributor and help your neighbor. Include a some personal involvement in your community.
To do this we need more people to vote for those who adopt these simple goals. Our elected officials must be held accountable and not encourage this divisiveness. Petty bickering and blind allegiance to political dogma is harmful. All of this is about unity, success, and security. Stop the fighting.
I too. will vote for Jake, but it will still be one against the other two. They'll still be able to shovel s*** against the tide. But thank you Jake (and Jeff). You're bringing power back to the people. You know what they say. A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet.
The public will see Jake swimming upstream for what it is - that he's trying to bring transparency, honesty and true citizen representation to the Council. He will also see first-hand how much cash is flowing, improperly, to the various NGOs on its way into various pockets. Guaranteed.
The recent confrontations in our Clallam County seems to draw attention to the issue of race. Maybe it is time to remind all these readers that our United States has nearly every imaginable race included in our population. We, as a country, have fought this prejudice from our inception. There is NO individual who has a single bloodline. We citizens are all of mixed blood. Pick any group. We have Caucasians who were the early settlers. Even these people came from a variety of countries and bloodlines. We have the indigenous peoples, many who came as travelers from Asia. We have people from almost every country, which are also a mixture of historic tribal groups.
I wish we, as a United States, could focus on our accomplishments instead of the false measure of bloodline. Racial mix has no value in shaping what accomplishments we have achieved. We acknowledge the small percentages of mixed blood when we talk about race. Does it make any difference if you have a tiny percentage of a particular bloodline? Pick a number. How about 1 percent?
From an outsider’s point of view we all are mixed race. None of this relates to accomplishment.
Since bloodlines are an insignificant measure of value the arguments must be about power. Push the bloodline to obtain power and ownership of some other group’s property or representation. Control the wealth by using bloodlines, small percentages, to steal from one another. This is about as divisive as one can get.
Why not consider contributions to our unity as a better measure? Who helps lead our nation? Who contributes to our wealth? Who are our teachers? Who provides intelligence and knowledge to our general prosperity? These are all mixed race peoples. Is not our unity a better measure than race?
I'm curious about what "outsider's point of view" means. I agree with you on accomplishment being the only relative measure we should consider. Racism is weakening. Tribe U.S.A. One Nation. Indivisible.
Side comment. My partner and I have traveled to many countries. We are asked how the United States has become so powerful, both economically and militarily. It is a complex question. My answer is our willingness to absorb our immigrants and let them participate in our way of life. Go to any city. There are islands of cultural differences, but they accept their neighbor as a member of their community. The exceptions are troubling. We should avoid those who want to isolate themselves and not become contributors. Teach our children about our history, good and bad, and learn from our mistakes. Our common goal should be unity and prosperity for all.
As long as people that come here want to live by our laws it is fine.
Being here illegally is not by our laws. Talk English was a criteria for citizenship. Islamic law is not American values and condones racism. In fact it encourages it. Where did we go wrong?
I grew up with people of every shade imaginable, and no one viewed them as anything other than "people" or "kids" at the time. This race card is played to shut down opposition and simply doesn't work with me. I would tell them what to do with their racism-- may require a "boofing kit"....
We grew up not observing anything but “classmates” and neighbors. No comments ever about shades of brown or ancestry. Whoever started the PR about brown skin color somehow having “the best” spiritual connection with the land and animals and who was “ here” first has managed to brainwash generations of younger people into thinking skin color and here “first” are more “noble” and deserving. The History of humans includes vast migrations throughout the earth over millennia along with human slaughters by “barbarians” for eons. Human migration history alone should convince everyone that we humans came from somewhere else and are a mixture of our ancient ancestors. Pigmentation is a result of latitude, not “ better than”. Archaeological research with modern technology informs us that cultures flourished and disappeared for tens of thousands of years. In ideal conditions with climate and evolution of agriculture and tools, some human cultures flourished beyond others. That is just a fact. Stone Age tribes meeting more advanced civilizations were the common theme of wholesale slaughter throughout. Advances in tools of destruction are an important part of human progress. Cultures wiping out other cultures describes human history. How we somehow were led to believe otherwise has become divisive and destructive to our mutual benefit.
The powers to be, feel accomplished if they have the citizens fighting over who’s ancestors are more important. That takes the pressure off the crap they (politicians and elected officials)
are pulling behind our backs. We need to go back to scrutinizing elected and appointed officials, and get over “skin color bickering”.
I went years without feeling racism or thinking about it in daily life. Then someone voted Obama into office and it became a constant talking point. We are above this unless we let the scum suck us in.
PS The replies back to Jeff Tozzer only proved how immature, condescending, and unprofessional, with a heaping spoonful of arrogance some at CRC quickly became.
Watch out Jake for the snakes, pit and all!
Seriously, Jeff I don’t know how you have held your sh** together through those meetings. Talk about a hostile group
filled with self appointed leaders.
December 31st, 2025 they will not even be recognized at the QFC. Enjoy your status HoHoHo. Tik tok You know who you are!
Your service has mostly gone unnoticed! Your fighting has defined you.
Thank you for the shout out today from Jeff " The Bull" Tozzer!
I wish to share something that I know my ancestors who faced such topics in real life would approve of.
When our county leadership casually labels situations or disagreements as “racist” when they clearly are not, it genuinely harms our community. Misusing such a serious word doesn’t just muddy the conversation-it devalues the real, painful reality of actual racism. That kind of rhetoric is irresponsible and only pushes people further apart instead of bringing us together. We deserve leaders who choose clarity over division, and who treat serious issues with the respect they require.
Yes the serious words are often misused and over used. like a child that tells their parents I HATE YOU ! Oh they mean it , because they feel it ! I feel it because I’m not getting what I want ! The little one’s can’t self edit . Adults should know how to self edit no matter what they feel ! I try and some sometimes I fail especially when I injure myself , cortisol levels rise and I say Ahole things . There are 2 types of people in this world , non Aholes and Aholes . Some times I’m a Ahole and for that I Apologize ! We are all being poisoned together ! It’s time we see the real enemy together .
Excellent article, Jeff! You have certainly summed up the kind of year the CRC has put you and Clallam County through. Crazy hypocrisy! And to watch this play out in real time makes anyone with two functioning brain cells question their sanity. Comm. Holy has been present for most of the CRC meetings, so she must see the same chaos the rest of us do. Her perception of leadership skills is concerning. And maybe since the Commission is nearing its end, Pickett will just come out and say what he really wants to say: We, the vocal minority, are just a bunch of racist assholes! Just remember, Comm. Pickett: "Thems fightin' words!"
Great podcast; so much good stuff in it, just like the article, only more so with hilarious humor! A few thoughts that come to mind:
1. If Christy Holy believes in setting the record straight, then she should do that — point out every thing you have wrong or have done that is counterproductive to the Charter Review Commission with documentation or evidence to back it up, not just her opinion. Substack accounts are free and I encourage people to write, write, write, to prove their points with facts, not just opinion. And if it is just an opinion, then say it is an opinion instead of making it sound like fact when it isn’t. Just like when Paul Pickett says he’s ’calling it as it is’ that is only his opinion, not a fact.
2. To call someone a racist or make any accusation without proof of it in writing or having observed the behavior does not provide an opportunity for correcting the action, which serves no purpose other than perhaps giving people a reason to gossip. That’s like if I tell someone they made a typo or misspelled a word, and then don’t show them where it is at, I’m not giving them the opportunity to correct it and learn, and it could lead them to question if I even know what I’m talking about if I can’t prove it.
3. For all the sharing you do of my memes and promoting my blog, none of the people who give you flack have given me flack…yet. Not saying they won’t, but I do find it interesting that other than someone calling a post ‘pure boomer slop’ I haven’t received anything in comments, messages, or emails telling me I’ve got it wrong or I’m racist or anything. It seriously makes me question if the only reason you get the flack you do is because it is personal, and that’s them being prejudice towards you rather than taking issue with your content even though they try to make it about your content.
What you do is so important and needed out here, and showing their prejudice in this post only proves it. Thank you for your work!
"they did it to serve their community" ? or the local democrat agenda , they don't seem to realize that in our last election the country voted for change from these folks agenda. I for one will be voting for change here, bravo Jake
As someone who is neither Republican nor Democrat, neither "white" nor "black" nor "indigenous", neither rich nor poor, but somewhere right in the middle of all of these classifications, I must say that in all my life I have never come across ANY group that is MORE EXCLUSIVE than our local progressive political clique. This exclusivity is loud and proud and does not even attempt to mask its own bias with the pretense of progress. No, quite the contrary. Its agenda-driven ideologies are thrown around like a Real Housewife's designer bag. "See my Gucci purse? That's why I'm better than you." See my inclusivity? That's why I'm better than you. Meanwhile, none of the decisions being made have a damn thing to do with including or excluding anybody based on their race or class. It's like that Dr. Suess book about Sneetches on beaches with stars on their bellies. Only the people with stars get to speak, friends. See the stars on their bellies? That's because they're better than you.
There is a LOT of socialist race-baiting and sociopathy going on out there in kommissar-land.
BOCCC and CCCRC have some mentally unstable people lording it over the community.
They are a direct threat to a balanced society, heavily favoring 'reparation-type' activities and expenditures which drive more wedges between the public and their 'rulers'!
Make no mistake, some of these humanoid entities ARE behaving as RULERS and NOT public servants.
They also support WILD spending without a balanced budget to back it up.
They are destroying Clallam County from within.
Listen to the JFK Speech That Got Him Killed, on YT!🎭
Its comical yet distressing when this demented young lady who no doubt supports, votes for, and lives the leftist democrat party values that gave the Country a civil war 1860-1865 over many of the same issues once again are raising their heads. This same party gave us the KKK after the civil war to control blacks, then later segregation, once all that did work they gave us school busing, racial profiling, war on poverty, drug wars, then once again another racial war in Vietnam 1965-1975 killing millions of Vietnamese over what? the gulf of tonkin?, etc, etc, etc... Hell, her own presidential candidate called Biden a racist for the 1960's busing era even commenting on what Biden said about black's relating them to as concrete jungles? that he didn't want his children to be in , yet I'm sure this person voted for Biden? or supported any number of other democrat racist like Senator Robert Byrd a long time Klan member known racist and complete democrat race baiter.
There's no way this person understands her own life or surroundings, history, or how and who is pulling her strings.
History lesson: the Democratic Party of 1860 isn’t the Democratic Party of today. Parties realigned over civil rights, and the segregationist wing migrated into the GOP by the 1980s. Treating ‘Democrat’ as timeless is like saying the iPhone 1 and iPhone 15 are the same device;comical, but misleading. In fact, it’s a lie, because it deliberately erases the reality that coalitions switched over time. The Democratic Party of the 1860s is not the Democratic Party of today, just as the Republican Party of Lincoln is nothing like the Republican Party of Nixon, Reagan, or the GOP of today. Saying anthing otherwise is just a lie.
Funny how the rebuttals shrink to one word when they contradict your world view. All you have to do is pick up a history book. Facts are facts, regardless of how they make you ‘feel.’
The first thing Vicki Lowe should know is that masks do not stop viruses.
If I was at a meeting, and anyone called me a racist, I would shout "F**K YOU" to them. When the gavel came down and I was reprimanded, I would point out that they offended me first. This, BTW, is why I don't go to meetings.
Obama's liberal hypocrite party started using racism as form of brainwashing and to try and shutdown any negative feedback but this only works on the weak minded.Racism bellyachers are usually hypocrites just trying to get attention and control to hopefully go after some more freebies without any negative comments.
"Anti-racism" is code for anti-White. This means more government 'gibs' combined with a side order of White self-abasement and a cold shame sandwich. If one examines crime statistics, he will realize that Whites, East Asians and Brown people are more likely to be murdered by a brown person than the opposite. About six percent of the population commits over fifty percent of the crime inside our country. I won't apologize for my skin color and for me "the race card" expired a long time ago. I hear music. It is the world's smallest violin playing for the perpetual victim class. Boo Hoo Hoo!
Racism and discrimination are popular accusations that are commonly misunderstood and misused. Racism sounds solid and effective, but it relies on our accepting that we are a particular race other than human. In the 300,000 years of human evolution where are the exact chronological and genealogical data points that separate this race from that race ? Were those that consider themselves First Nations first ? Does skin tone determine race ? Each one of us is genetically unique, making each of us a race of one. What are the laws/rules/guidelines that make us a member of a specific grouping ? Regarding discrimination, it is ubiquitous, endemic and can never not exist. You choose one apple and you have discriminated against all other apples. Ditto in choosing life partners, wives, husbands and friends. All those not within your choosing have been discriminated against. Discrimination is not bad, wrong or evil. It just is that it is. The bad, wrong and evil in discrimination comes from those who believe it to be and make it so. The fox is the finder.
Garry. We all discriminate as we choose different actions in our lives. The choices, however, should take into account whether we are harming someone else. "Do no harm", should be our choice. When we negotiate our differences we both learn. Work toward the benefit of all.
We treasure our gifts in our country, but when we recognize many of our residents are losing their income, their property, their lives, due to hostile and selfish management we should make changes. We have benefits, but these do not always apply to our poor and elderly. Lawlessness needs to be reduced. (Enforce the law.) Homelessness is growing and our efforts to reduce it are not effective. (More people need mental health care.) Illegal drugs are killing too many of our citizens. (Stop enabling illegal drug usage.) Our children are struggling in school. (Seek meritocracy.) Much of this "harm" becomes widespread. Our young adults have difficulty buying homes, raising their children, having a secure community, and building a prosperous future. Improving our lives IS tedious. I think we all can do better.
Tedious as in work, as in doing something. My choice has been to attempt to inform those who choose to read my ramblings. Most important is attempting to get more people to VOTE. I have suggested a tax penalty for those who refuse to vote. Or, a small tax deduction for those proving they voted. (I favor in-person voting.) Until we see more than 90% voter turnout we will not have a representative election. This is how we influence the WHO, WHAT, and HOW. (A future discussion could be on refreshing our Congress with term limits.)
As to Council person Lowe. Her claims of racism because of brown skin is the soft racism controlling people like herself use works against people with no brains.

Thanks, Clallamity! Tozzer Derangement Syndrome is rampant on the CRC and in the community :)
I call them the “crunchies”
Jeff they are just scared of you because you pulled the curtain back for us to see what is going on. No other reason at all.
They cut you off and try to degrade CCWD and it listeners/readers because of the reflection coming back at them.
That old Chestnut.
The correct spelling is O'bummer!🤓
