Though I confess the incident could have been avoided if Sequim PD performed duties commensurate with "The Broken Windows Theory".

In many ways politics should begin at the local level I think. Also major conflicts could be avoided if solved at that level. Thomas Jefferson hated large cities because they cause an immunity to suffering. Suffering inside a small town is more difficult to ignore because it is less isolated.

Right you are Patriot Steve O~!

Historically speaking, it is always part of the continuing process of good folks to come together to fight against government oppression and crimes against humanity, but many of us are seeing something FAR greater unfolding today. Jeff Tozzer is indeed playing a great role that we should all be thankful for, however look around and you will see a LOT of others who are coming together to do their part in these dangerous times and that is the Spirit of freedom that the criminals of humanity have failed to extinguish for many thousands of years~! The criminals of humanity, big and small, will never quit in their evil attacks upon the vast and overwhelming majority of folks, so given this still ongoing genocidal attack on humanity "we" (Patriots) absolutely MUST extinguish these criminals now to prevent them from ever harming folks again. Those who see that as "too harsh" today will soon learn more of what these criminals of humanity have and are still doing, and they will adjust their attitude to better understand what is necessary as things continue to unfold~! We are all playing our role in this greatest time of history that good folks have prayed to see for many thousands of years, and all Patriots who have helped will be very proud that they stood up against those who oppress and slaughter humans~! Enjoy a wonderful Friday and weekend, because much is coming that "we" will need to deal with, and justice will in due time rule the day~!

Sincerely, Mike

My initial suspicion confirmed. It takes time to do things right.

Actually, I think Fisher will any escape penalty. I hope that my assessment is incorrect, but I have no confidence in government agencies that seem to favor crime instead of punishing it.

Murder 2. There is a whole lot of stuff to lock down to get a conviction for Murder 2. I'm not surprised it took this long. Aaron Fisher certainly appears to be a career criminal from his extensive rap sheet. Lets hope he's locked away for as long as the law will allow.

Yes prayers and justice for the family . When I went to see his work I could not describe what I was looking at . Days later I could . His work is Sacred Geometry , it was like looking at a leaf or looking in a crystal , nature replicates it self , of the Logos that’s what he is !

How many hours before some "judge" lets him out with an ankle monitor?

Considering the arrest and conviction record of this human I would speculate that the concept of justice failed. If the arrest and conviction records are accurate Aaron belonged inside a cage a long time before he murdered Richard Mateo. I believe his name was mentioned in the connection to a missing female in King County. Before he murdered Richard Mateo he was dating a 13 year old female from Port Angeles but no charges of stat rape. Fools are operating our government.

From the Gazette:

"Judge Elizabeth Stanley set Fisher’s bail at $500,000, with GPS monitoring if released. His arraignment hearing is set for 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1."

Thank you. So many of these judges let people go instead of keeping them in jail. A rapist in Seattle was released hours after being arrested, and he went right back to the same place and raped the woman again. I feared that this miscreant would be let go without bail-- or bail paid by some activist NGO-- and he would disappear. I hope that's not the case here.

A family member could put up bond without much problem. And, we'll have to wait and see what happens Aug 1, often bail is lowered at the first hearing.

Why do so many women hate guns? How many "stranger rapes" could be prevented by the presence of a gun located in the female palm? Yet they rely upon our government to protect them.

My hope is that with the evidence Mr. Madeo's name is cleared as being the aggressor due to Fisher's statements. I myself do not believe for one minute he was.

I do hope justice is found and rendered. I'm unsure what evidence is now known that was not when the evidence was insufficient to hold the suspect. That said; I truly hope this guy is in jail, if for nothing else, beating up on an old man.

Jeff, you wrote that Aaron Fisher was exonerated and the justice system dropped the ball. You owe Sequim PD, the prosecutors, and the judge an apology.

PDN: "Fisher was exonerated and released on Friday as the investigation continues, court documents stated."

Sequim Gazette: "However, Fisher was exonerated in Clallam County Superior Court and released from jail on May 9."

KONP: "In Superior Court Friday, Fisher was exonerated of the charges and released without bail."

Please cut and paste where I said, "the justice system dropped the ball."

“A man dies.

Law enforcement delays alerting the public.

The media ignores it.

The courts downplay it.

And the people asking questions? Silenced or banned.

This isn't about one tragic death. It's about the growing sense that the systems we trust are no longer operating in our best interest.

Richard Madeo created pieces that no one else could dream of. He gave Sequim beauty and character. And when he was taken from us, the institutions that should have sounded the alarm

responded with silence, dismissal, and omission.

If we allow that to become the pattern-then justice, like Richard, will disappear without a trace.”

“Clallam County Watchdog - an independent investigative platform — has seen a surge in subscribers. Its recent piece, The Death Rattle, puts into words what many feel: that trust in our local media is dying. And when truth is no longer delivered from a newsroom, it has to come from the people.

But it shouldn't take tragedy to wake us up.”

An independent platform shouldn’t rely on legacy media, that you criticize, as a source.
