Are they fresh off the "turnip truck" or somehow being enriched by the corruption that Mike French and his cronies are "administering" in Clallam County? As stated previously, I've been trying to engage with Mike and the rest of the Clallam County Board of Health for 5+ years about helping people in Clallam county who were harmed by the covid shots, but he ignores both the issue and me (a mom who cares nothing for politics and everything about people).
Some of the policies Mike endorses have ruined the lives of some of our neighbors, but he refuses to look or listen or help.
The last time I spoke with Mike, it was after the first Calico Cat town hall and he said he disagrees with me "about vaccines." It was a deliberate choice to sidestep and deflect.
I have been clear in my request: those who suffered rare side effects to the covid shots have no help, and we ought to help them.
How can you run a "positive campaign about the issues...and solutions" if you have predetermined conclusions and will not listen to people who are hurt by your policies?
Mike, if you're reading this, I also "have children that I'm raising children in this community, and they see how we act..."
If anyone else cares about this issue and wants to help create ethical change on a local level, you might be interested in reading the recent FOIA emails showing our public health establishment shutting down an early study into neurological side effects from the shots --not because they're not real-- but because studying them (and helping people) might cause hesitancy.

Comparing political opponents and non-voters to neighborhood skunks that need to be cleared out with a shotgun. But hey, when our side uses firearms-based animal-control analogies to describe municipal elections, it’s just righteous spiritual duty. And to top off the circus, the Watchdog is now offering a $500 cash bounty to unmask an anonymous blogger. Because nothing says "we want an honest debate on county infrastructure and timber revenue" quite like organizing a paid hunt for an internet pseudonym.

I think that the "social contract" might be disintegrating in Sequim. I have observed far more unpleasant behavior recently. Your fourth sentence was not only interesting but I think important. The French Revolution would provide solid evidence. OTOH that is how Americans perceive the world. Other cultures don't value comfort in the same way I think. Unfortunately, the answer to your great questions are not pleasant, but the good news is that I believe at least some improvements are on the horizon. Yes, the dirty trio clown show of communists that have wormed their way into the County commissioners' positions are a HUGE problem because they push their evil BS like the worst kind if drug dealers who care not for their victims. It is very true that our community has had some COMPLETELY rotten people moving into it as well, because among all of the good folks who move here, there are also those who bring problems wherever they go. I know that the MK Ultra style Brainwashing program here in the great Pacific NW has constantly tricked folks into blaming people who move here for causing all of the problems, especially people from California, however that is NOT the truth from the bigger perspective. I'm compelled to write a comment after reading the email from Mike's campaign. The double standard is not acceptable.
As stated previously, I've been trying to engage with Mike and the rest of the Clallam County Board of Health for 5+ years about helping people in Clallam county who were harmed by the covid shots, but he ignores both the issue and me (a mom who cares nothing for politics and everything about people).
Some of the policies Mike endorses have ruined the lives of some of our neighbors, but he refuses to look or listen or help.
The last time I spoke with Mike, it was after the first Calico Cat town hall and he said he disagrees with me "about vaccines." It was a deliberate choice to sidestep and deflect.
I have been clear in my request: those who suffered rare side effects to the covid shots have no help, and we ought to help them.
How can you run a "positive campaign about the issues...and solutions" if you have predetermined conclusions and will not listen to people who are hurt by your policies?
Mike, if you're reading this, I also "have children that I'm raising children in this community, and they see how we act..."

Residents see the decline every day. We talk about it constantly — how this county is slipping further, how basic services are strained, how accountability has evaporated. And I emphasize accountability. Try submitting PRR's and questions. There are minimal responses to meet the "law", yet so many questions go unanswered. Look at all the money for NGO's with so little accountability and actual metrics, those are tax dollars and everyone should be outraged. Yet the response from those factions are not to address these problems, but to double down on hostility and misinformation. It has become their only political currency.
What is even more troubling is the growing number of people who simply absorb whatever extreme bloggers or social media agitators tell them. They repeat slogans instead of facts, outrage instead of evidence. This is not civic engagement; it is manipulation. And it is dangerous for any community that needs clear headed decision making rather than ideological obedience.
We deserve leadership that deals in reality, not theatrics. We deserve representatives who can defend their record with measurable results, not with online talking points. This county cannot afford to be dragged further downward by those who rely on division because they have nothing constructive to offer. Vote wisely and encourage others as well. Let our voices be heard this way!

Meanwhile, the outrage peddlers conveniently gloss over the rhetoric coming from their own preferred camp. Their favored candidate, local Everyman-turned-politician Jake Seegers, was caught on tape delivering what can only be described as a metaphorical pest-control sermon. Comparing political opponents and non-voters to neighborhood skunks that need to be cleared out with a shotgun. But hey, when our side uses firearms-based animal-control analogies to describe municipal elections, it’s just righteous spiritual duty. When their side posts mean memes, it’s a threat to Western civilization.
And to top off the circus, the Watchdog is now offering a $500 cash bounty to unmask an anonymous blogger. Because nothing says "we want an honest debate on county infrastructure and timber revenue" quite like organizing a paid hunt for an internet pseudonym.
