A number of good people have have been heard to say, "I didn't leave the Party, the Party left me!". Many books and lengthy interviews have described how the Overton window they grew up with got broken, and independence was their only reasonable choice.
Jake skillfully offered the breakfast debate Real, fresh food for thought: while Mike only served his same old, stale fodder; along with his favorite French whine!!
French is a smart guy. But even he gets caught selling flubber and magic beans because of DSA policies that undermine his claims of adopting certain public policy.
State leveraging is going to dictate his policy. He cannot veer from it. Wheeler will cut down his ribbon..if he tries..
Hopefully smart guy that will not veer off reckless course will get the smart boot in his upcoming election. Then he can sit and wonder how smart his actions were. The smart boot will also work very well on ozias & johnson.
John Worthington, I don't know Mr. French but I think I know his arch type. It not only exists inside government offices but also in the human resources offices located in all major corporations. I focus upon demographics and I think that issue is stronger than a policy. By the way if a government is borrowing from Peter to Pay Paul. Paul won't complain. OTOH if we allow Peter to prosper financially the soup kettle will become larger. That is my humble opinion.
Edward Burch in addition to the "Overton Window" which is a political theory I would add a psychological theory called "The Dunning Kruger Effect". These debates fascinate me because they present so many different angles and variables that are not originally political but eventually become so because of the power political issues provide.
If you listen to Mike you know you're hearing from a politician funding his grifter supporters. If you listen to Jake you hear a concerned citizen wanting to spend our funds effectively.
Jake all the way!
What's the difference between a Somalian Daycare and Mental health facility under JST?
People sign a form of being present. I truly hope they are stopped before we all go broke.
So much of taxpayer money is spent based on "do gooder" programs without factual basis. It's as if our reasoning is based on emotion rather than knowledge. We need to keep shining the light on truths so darkness doesn't win.
bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism v. Tribalism.
I don't think everybody in the Democratic party is down with Tribalism. It was one thing when Tribalism was a vehicle for bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism...but now...It may not be fleece Somali fraud enough...to keep the bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism they built.
Donna Huswick I admire "truth" though expressing it is often met with adversity. LOL according to one Greek school truth is an abstract principle and available to refutation.
Is the JST investment in healthcare altruism or yet another money printing machine ? I am not intimate with the many ways our Government funds the blood quantum of native/indigenous/tribal peoples, but it has reached a point of absurdity. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, as example, is both antiquated and completely unnecessary. The indigenous people we keep throwing money at are all dead. Their progeny have casinos, computers, cell phones and hands free driving. The JSK has taken the casino cashed social security and retirement checks and invested that in petroleum, healthcare, excavation, cannabis and other businesses. I applaud their success, but it is way past time to unplug them from the public teat in the innumerable forms of grants, MBE perks, special commercial wildlife harvesting rights, gaming rights, tax advantages and many more.
I guess I was born somewhere other than the United States as I am not considered Native American. Is it called Pay Up and Shut Up Land? Certainly not One Nation. As Vito Corleone would ask, how did we let it get this far?
I like hearing the recap of the debate from Tuesday morning, Jeff, and I'm glad you took two days to analyze it. Jake spoke very well and provided data, facts, and common sense. That one part about juvenile services really stuck with me afterwards, because French's response that he would not sacrifice our youth for $1-2m was over the top. It seemed like he was protecting an investment and not the kids. Overall, Jake was the clear winner with his ideas, professionalism, and solid answers to the audience's questions.
Question: why does the Tribal Sovereign Nations in America rely entirely on the taxes of another Sovereign nation to provide nearly all of the benefits and resources and services that they utiilize and enjoy to enhance their culture and environs, standard of living, businesses, and lands? Why do they, as a separate nation, not have their own TAXATION system to operate their "country" for their people? Why is one country supporting another country. ? With blank check in perpetuity.
I understand tribes and their regalia with respect to their ancestral activities, since time immemorial and all, but the heresy to act like it has anything to do with a corporation is disengenuous.
If the tribe has been in negotiations with the state wouldn't the state have records of those conversations?
Double for who. Tribalism or bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism....
If I was wringing my hands for a deluxe fleece Somali fraud opportunity to grow bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism...and found out the feds and the public are watching like a hawk, and found out tribalism means getting even with all the honky cats not just the ones helping them get even with the honky cats..id be madder than James Carville..
They will not admit it but that fight is scheduled for a two out of three falls. Ron Richards has already proven that. He is not going to get a slap on the back from everybody at the progressive water buffalo lodge.
The tribe is also just bid a new Dental Clinic soon to start construction. It is a big project also. It’s probably $12m+. More to follow when it starts as Korsmo Construction has been picked as the GC.
Korsmo Construction is based in Tacoma, yes? Where is the outrage from those who demand Jake Seegers purchase campaign signs from local businesses if the tribe isn't using a local construction company?
You think that’s bad. Look into our local schools that received over $200m in levy money and to date it has been spent with outside GC and EC companies. Korsmo did use Olympic Electric on the Neah Bay school. Olympic did purchase 100% of the material local. The Public Safety Bldg is being done by Outside our county companies also. They do not use local workers in most cases. When our CC and cities want another levy we should demand the money be spent here. LOL
You are right. I am pushing for a local EC to get the job. I think they are going to use a local after my conversations with them. I am fighting to keep as much as I can local.
The Tribal incentive to bring in troubled addicts from all corners of the world could not be higher. If a single troubled addict/bum/vagrant can bring in $4000/day, that translates to almost 1.5Million/year, for ONE addict/bum/vagrant. Now, imagine 1000 such addict/bum/vagrants, coming from all corners of the world for their red carpeted free pizzas, boofing kits, and luxury apartments, and it becomes $1.46 BILLION/year. For the 800 tribal members, that translates to $1.8 MILLION DOLLARS for each tribal member. Or, $1BILLION/YEAR for Ron Allen, $100 Million for each of the Commissioners offshore bank accounts, and $200K for each tribal member. With that kind of money, does anyone wonder why the red carpet for addict/bum/vagrants remains unrolled? Everyone wins but the taxpayers.
Coincidence the tribal facility and Northview have ribbon cuttings next week a day apart? We walk by Northview most evenings and have noticed new faces with lost eyes dragging bags of belongings staring wistfully through the construction fencing. Mr Rogers did not prepare me for the people in my neighborhood
They can do this now, but its clear local government unions are squirming over the potential loss of government jobs...a result of the obvious harakiri of local government revenue, caused by restorative justice and this "bad relationship" for 3000 people who are part of a treaty..,. Not every union jobber is going to get hired by the tribe. Not every property owner is going to pay up for this restorative justice gig. Because the white race is predominant here, Any demographic engineering is unconstitutional. The climate migrant argument falls apart when they add the "cultural" language that ultimately decides the racial make-up of a climate migrant. Its called "prospective demographic engineering." The state leverages this to happen at Commerce. I guarantee you they co-mingle federal funds with this money because Commerce is a pass through agency which exists for that sole purpose.

Good morning Jeff and Doggers,

Much of the taxpayer resources shoveled into a blast furnace for "do gooder" programs is an abomination.

Abolish the BIA!!!!!

2000 a week to play hide and seek at a time...

JAKE SEEGERS 2026!
He won't sacrifice our children, but he'll let homeless drug addicts shower with them!
And frolic in the park.
I agree with this enthusiasm. "How can we lose with so many vibes".

The state should have records, but when a Tribe is involved, the rules may be different.
Everything I can find says that absent a direct exemption the state can't withold records they generated in those communications.
And keep in mind a recent article said they'll have 16 beds but are "building for 32", so that income will double at some point.
Double for who. Tribalism or bureaucratic managerialism, meritocracy or credentialism....

Will this new facility be available to non tribal members?
Are the nontribal members the ones whose Medicare will be so fraudulently over charged?
$4000 encounter if multiple interactions happen.

Follow the money....
Just think about all the mentally ill drug addicts camped outside waiting for the front doors to be opened.
Their here...
They've been trucked in, by JST, from the I-5 corridor.
