Do i have to say it louder ?? It is time to recall Ozias. He is a crook who is not doing his job. He only represents the tribe and his wallet.

I have a secret, it's none of your business, but I'll share it anyway. WE THE PEOPLE, the ones who hired (elected) you and you have sworn to engage with and implement our interpreted desires, are asking questions and deserve answers. Commissioner Ozias seems to actually resent anyone questioning his actions. I suggest Mr. Ozias write a letter of apology to the citizens of Clallam County and have it read at the next Clallam County Commissioners meeting, and that it be read into the record immediately prior to his resignation letter.

" It's just not any of your business"......what an ignorant statement!!! Mr. Ozias, here is a quote for you from the second paragraph of the OPMA: "The people of this state do not yield their sovereignty to the agencies which serve them. The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know"

Sorry Clallam Conservation District (CCD) get in line for your handouts. The kitty is dry! Not a budgeted item, go through the process and wait for funds to become available. Or maybe a vote of the people.

In the meantime, cutback and live within your means. Buy a DEI coloring book for the office or check a book out at the library on the subject. A fee, tax or assessment is not your solution.

Jim Stoffer of CRC fame approached me after the First Fed public conversation event for the John Brewer Fund beg-a-thon, saying that I somehow owed him a chance to talk because I comment on this page. Guess what? Jim, it seems you read this blog. You’re a CRC member and you made yourself a public figure. That means the public is invited to have opinions about what you do, whether they talk to you or not.

Maybe because they wanted shut down Jeff Tozzer as a CRC commissioner and writer. I think that was the subject of another Jeff article.

I suppose, but personally I don't like the off-topic devolvement and would hope that we could stay on topic to hear his thoughts.

Is there anything you can share about that meeting?

It was an evening of building a case for the John Brewer Fund, which would pay for reporter salaries at a privately owned company, the PDN.

a pitch for Newspaper Welfare .. since Black Press went tits up, and "rescued" by Carpenter Media (a new group that is gobbling up newspapers all over the country). It wasn't about "media" as much as it was about "even if you don't want to read the paper subscribe" (Or just give us money.) But, explaining how this would help ... and why their paywall is so ridiculously high, was never part of the conversation.

Where to they get all the money to hire the consultants? What if they would spend the time and money they waste going after grants and looking for ways to stick their hands in our pockets on looking for ways to make do?

Why are we paying them if they need to hire consultants?

Every time I see his face, I bristle and feel nauseous. He is, almost single-handedly, ruining this county with his corruption and bias. If there is more than one way to solve a problem, rest assured that he will take the wrong approach.

County claims they are low on $$$ but seem to have plenty of $$$ to hire consultants to give simple minded people ways of collecting more $$$ for ignorants to squander. Some of these county elected must be so happy they do not have to put on their thinking caps because they can just hire consultants that will do their thinking for them and save their caps for a rainy day.

If they keep hiring consultants, then why aren’t we reducing the workforce in the county departments, what good are they when other people (consultants) are doing their job

Take a real good look at the "clearinghouse" model, just sitting at home waiting for the Jamestown Tribe, George Soros and the world economy to tell them what to do.

I would like to think a very lucrative paying position at $108,000.plus per year salary that many would be interested. These commissioner positions just require common sense and a honest oath to the public 'no highly educated diplomas-certificates-past experience- ect ect ect seem to be helping current ignorant commissioners who seem to be influenced by big govt radical libtards that are putting this state into decay.

" But when I asked Commissioner Ozias a simple question—why he was attending the weekly Clallam County Commission meeting remotely for the second week in a row—his answer was:"

My answer is that it is said that 90% of all communication is non-verbal (body language). With the exception of facial ques, it is almost impossible to read his body language from a video feed. Jeff, I think you make him very uncomfortable, and he has to hide his body language. Mr. Ozias, the Eagles said it best, "you can't hide your lyin' eyes"!!!

To claim "It's just not any of your business" one cannot be working for the public. There are many private employment opportunities out there. If Ozias wants his where-abouts unknown, he should find one of those private positions. Using discrimination to end discrimination is the same as going to war to end war. Minority status is ubiquitous; it can never not exist. We are all biologically unique, making each of us a minority of one. This insane focus on minority status is an exercise in futility. Trans sexuality was a virtual unknown perhaps ten years back. Of all minority statuses, why does it now get so much band width ? I'm starting a Go Fund Me, as well as a political action committee for six toed people. People with six toes deserve our support in the form of a well staffed office to insure they are never discriminated against.

Excellent work Jeff Tozzer~! I am sure that you would prefer spending all your time on more personally enjoyable things than having to deal with these shady low-level criminals in government and our community~! So, we deeply appreciate your efforts to hold the local governments accountable. Having been in the business world for many decades I am well known for saying that "The only stupid question is the one that you didn't ask"~! In this sick country it has become increasingly clear that these criminals in government ALWAYS seek to keep folks from asking questions, especially questions that are intended to get to the truth~! We local folks have every right to know what these Individuals in government are doing as our well overpaid employees, and the fact is that when an Individual willingly enters the life as our public servant they automatically do lose a significant level of their expectation of privacy in their lives. That necessarily goes with the Individuals choice to enter the public light as our servant, so to claim otherwise is EXTREAMLY suspicions in and of itself~! These same kinds of criminals of humanity sure don't have any problem ruthlessly attacking others, often falsely and in bad faith, even the President of the United States, when it suits their agenda, so complaining about their conveniently self-serving, invented & selective "right to privacy" likely means that "we" are making their hidden agenda/s more difficult to pull off and that is absolutely critical these days... We must keep pulling their "curtain" of lies, deceptions, and evil social engineering plots back~! Enjoy the wonderful Spring weather~! Sincerely, Mike
