The commissioners did not answer yesterday's email. Today's email is sent to them, the prosecuting attorney, sheriff, and PA police chief:

Dear Community Leaders,

Would you consider holding a public town hall to talk openly about a few issues many residents are concerned about?

The rise in out-of-county and out-of-state offenders, and what’s driving it

What our harm-reduction efforts are actually producing locally—using real data, not just general explanations

What tools local agencies currently have, what they don’t, and what they’re asking for going forward

The September bomb incidents in Port Angeles and the Clallam Transit assault, including what the public should know and what, if anything, has changed since

A public, candid discussion would go a long way toward rebuilding trust and giving residents a clearer picture of what’s working, what isn’t, and why.

Thank you

How about a town hall for residents and if the ‘leaders’ don’t show up, then it’s their fault and it will give people more to talk about. Why do town halls have to be dependent on leaders who don’t lead? They have enough power; why do they get this power too? Just a thought while preparing to dry dishes. 😄 Great podcast today! I will miss the theme song but am looking forward to the next one!

Asking the rulers for some kind of rational conciliation is pissing in the wind.

They need to be guided and insisted, not requested, to engage with the public!

Being blunt is the only thing they 'may' understand...being 'nice' is seen as weakness!

Subservience is where they think we are in regards to their 'rule'.

Only the people can make it different...the 'rulers' are not going to go quietly into the night!😎

What is going on with all these convicted criminals moving to Clallam county to live. Have we become a penal colony?

Historically penal colonies were remote places that criminals were SENT to live out their lives separated from the main population. It was meant to deter crime through exile and sometimes use their labor to develop distant, underpopulated regions.

Did we wake up in a penal colony?

OK if I understand this correctly, Mr. Fleetwood is currently wanted in New Jersey? and if so, why was he not held an extradited? We have become a revolving door for criminals.

Personally, I believe when repeat offenders come here and start their shenanigans and are arrested they should be required by the judge to get a one-way ticket out of town and told not to come back.

I personally know that this could happen because there was an incident in my own family, where my brother was arrested for assault on a family member and was arrested, and the judge passed sentence, not only did he give us a no contact order to him, but told him that he had to leave Clallam County and not come back.

And sometimes people that I know, wonder why I have a concealed carry permit, and it’s not because of my brother.

Self-defense is essentially illegal in Canada as well.

We are expected to roll-over to evil as it destroys our societies.

All the 'false-flag' shootings are moving toward martial law and total public disarmament.

More and more 'gun free' zones guarantee more mass public shootings when only psychos and miscreants who know no laws have the advantage.

It isn't possible to get all 600,000,000+ guns away from Americans...but it is possible to 'legally' intimidate and restrict via 'carry' and 'access' laws.

Washington State is rapidly applying various 'licensing', 'carry' and 'access' restrictions every session of legislature...the net is closing.

It couldn't be more reasonable than for our elected officials to fill in the blanks before the public does, well, in as much as the public already has due to lack of information.

This article is a clear presentation of the problem, and an attempt to describe a solution. It's a start. Will our elected officials respond?

I think that in the same way that Prosecuting Attorney Nichols and Sheriff King have attempted to explain certain situations, and I appreciate each one doing so, that they have opportunity here to reach out with additional information.

The Sheriff has a Citizens advisory committee. I've never read their minutes so I don't know what they discuss, or how effective it is.
