Thanks Virginia. I am all for it. The unit should be paid for with the $1,487,000 criminal justice tax. Its asinine to give more money to criminal justice, when they tell us at town halls that Olympia won't let us do anything. Instead of giving them $1,487,000 to do more of nothing, I would rather pay for a public integrity unit. They can start by investigating operation Kingpin.
The Public Integrity Unit is public safety. Here we are dumping even more money into a union grabass machine where its employees feel so comfortable with bargaining rights they aren’t afraid of committing fraud.
I am taking money right of the top of that $1,487,000 they are collecting in April of 2027…and forming a Public Integrity Unit…whether the union grabassers like it or not.
Virginia, a well written educated and transparent article. Clallam County citizens are asking and demanding answers to the question, “Where is our money going EXACTLY” Not only in the Auditor’s office, but all areas of the Clallam County government. Where to start?
We can start with the Auditors Office which is run, as most areas in the county, on the good ole boy system, ‘you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’. We can break this system by voting in people who aren’t entrenched nor beholden to Following the Leader.
My blindfold is off. I vote for you, and Seeger’s to begin the process of honest ‘Stewardship’ of our taxpayer money and to stand behind the Integrity of those positions.
