A false accusation of “racism” can cause a widespread panic, reputational damage, and widespread division. The claim of “racism” is now used as an effective tool to combat non-existent emergencies. It’s controversial to say, but I liken it to shouting FIRE” in a movie theater.

MK's avatar

I tend to think that it's as effective as one responds to the slur.

These words are spears of insult which people tend to take personally.

People aren't prepared for the attack, and usually aren't what the attack is all about, so that offense translates into an appearance of there being some truth to it. This is where it has power.

The moment someone responds to the generalized allegation it gains merit, so don't engage.

I am fatigued of this divide and conquer quest for votes on the part of Democrats. They practice minority-ism. First courting females for their votes and then moving on to multiple ethnicities. The problem with the minority-ism strategy has been once these courted "minorities" learn to think and act independently many become lost to the Democrats. Group think is the Democrat tool of control. Do as we say or you are a racist. So the quest for more "minorities" to pretend to champion expands to "native" Americans and now sexual deviancy. I would remind all of these Pied Pipered "minorities" that it was the Republican Party that abolished slavery, via the 13th amendment. Democrats create multiple races to faux support. Republicans support one race; human. Is it racist to question why people claiming indigenous ancestry have more rights, privileges and Government support than all other citizens ? Is it logical to discriminate to end discrimination ? Do you want the most competent available pilot to fly you to sun and sand in the Winter or a pilot chosen for their gender, ethnicity and/or sexual orientation ? This minority-ism craze is horribly expensive and a fruitless tail chase for nothing other than votes.

Fair and balanced article Jeff.

I am anything but racist against anyone but it's to the point that I feel like im going through reversed racism as all the opportunities given to one class.

Opportunities are earned and payed for by us as a society, and should be distributed equally.

I'm good with the term, "We're all part of the human race."

Pretty much everything after that becomes a ridiculous conversation where in one moment someone wants to defend the race of a person or people, and in the next someone from that same race who doesn't think the same as them is summarily dismissed but no one calls racism in that situation.

The same concept applies to females, gays, ..... etc. Just look at the h8 Jeff gets for being the wrong kind of gay person compared to the adoration he'd get if he fell in-line with the mindset those who make those claims espouse.

And it's all those shenanigans that water down valid concerns for basically treating someone different because of how they look.

Good comment, Patriot MK~!

The interesting thing is that these constant assaults on folks for ANY affiliations or differences that we may or may not even have, has now resulted in a fast-growing majority of Americans who no longer pay any attention to it, don't believe it, and/or could care less~! These criminals of humanity have SO overplayed their BS "blame, label, and accuse game", that fewer and fewer people are now paying any attention to it at all. In fact, some folks (like me) just get pissed off at those who are using these evil underhanded games to divide good folks against each other! If there is one group of people who should be removed from any positions of power and influence, and hopefully our community, it would and should be those who constantly deploy these evil tactics to divide the good folks of our community against each other~! That would purge the REAL troublemakers from our otherwise wonderful community, literally overnight, and we could then work together to repair the many decades of damage that these mentally ill social misfits and social criminals have caused~!

Have a mellow day~!

Sincerely, Mike

If the “leaders to be” keep us fighting among ourselves, it takes the pressure off of them from our scrutiny. It’s an old political game that resurfaces under different issues so to control the masses. I think racial discourse is churned up when we are openly concerned with the direction of the country. How flipping easy is it to stir that pot? People trafficking is another hot spot to wind our gears up.A mere mention of a few of these buzz words gets brains refocused away from the nitwits that run the counties and the country. Not that these things don’t or haven’t happened, but at some point we need a “DOOVER.”

Let it go, you can’t rewrite history, although many have tried.

Michael Heath's avatar

HA~!

I am of the opinion that in order for these government workers to be called "leaders" that the good folks of Clallam County would have to agree to follow them, and fewer people by the day are willing to do that. I NEVER call our government employees "leaders" because Constitutionally they are OUR servants and not people to lead us at all. We are the leaders~! That is one reason that I support Jake Seegers, because he appears to understand that government managers are at best engaged in a social contract with the local Americans, so they can carry out the will of "We the people"~! You are right my friend, and I am past the point where I respect any of these goons currently in government management who clearly scheme to divide us against each other. I believe that any government manager or politician who intentionally divides Americans against each other should be removed from office immediately, as an enemy of the people! I really don't know why "we" tolerate such BS~! Besides, being a government manager means that these goons need to restrict themselves to managing the GOVERNMENT and not "We the people"~! These clowns in government have absolutely no history or proof that they know what is best for us, so that nonsense needs to stop immediately... We have gone a VERY long way down the wrong road my friend, and these government managers are operating under COMPLETELY fraudulent unconstitutional directives that have to be stopped one way or another... The good news is that there is a reasonable chance that what is really unfolding behind the scenes will put an end to the big oppressive dictatorship of government~! Have a mellow evening!

Sincerely,

Mike

As always great points. I refer to the “leaders” as people who were voted into government offices. Unfortunately for us, most people don’t scrutinize the candidates. Reading the bios in the voter pamphlets always makes me question how much did they pay a ghost writer to be so loose and creative with their background and experience. Look no further than our own little homecoming Queen, head of Public Health and an insult to all former or current health dept employees.

But then again I think she was appointed that title and position. Thats the holy grail of not being qualified to fulfill the obligations of your job.

Her role in public health has many duties that are overlooked or politically motivated. First, do no harm!

If you can’t do the first one, it doesn’t really matter what comes next.

Michael Heath's avatar

Good morning, Patriot Susan C Bonallo~!

Yes, I know what you mean about "leaders" and I believe that you have a healthier "Constitutionally correct" view of them ;-) The semantics do matter... By the time I was 18 I had seen through enough so-called "leaders" and their manipulative BS, so that the only leaders that I like to this day are the ones that we use for fishing~! Ha! With extremely rare and strictly limited exceptions of course. Constitutionalists generally reject "leaders" as a rule, unless that term is used to describe Military personnel within the US Military structure or "We The people"~! Then, it is "perfect-O"~! HA! Well, as someone who has read thousands and thousands of resumes over the years, and written a good many for others himself, honesty in self-description is an elusive thing... It is best to be honest when describing yourself to others, however in doing so one needs to be prepared for rejection due to the audiences' ignorance every bit as much as rejection for cause. Yes, these "glowing" bios in the political election materials are really something else my friend! I remember when I decided to enter the mortgage banking field I "promised myself that I would actually be 100% honest and NEVER do anything to anyone that I would not do to myself" under the same circumstances! HA! I didn't realize how that was a great recipe for economic disaster, but I do not regret it! Shortly after I entered the mortgage banking field long ago, I was shocked to learn that all of the criminals and crooks were actually generally saying the same words about how "honest" they were, when those of us on the inside knew better! You see, there really are only a couple of ways that folks get regularly screwed on their real estate mortgages, ALL experienced mortgage loan officers and underwriters know those ways, and they are of course regularly used against the unsuspecting customers who have absolutely no clue how to defend themselves or what they are getting into~! The vast majority of mortgage loan officers are basically crooks to one degree or another, but there really are a few who do right by their customers and make efforts to educate them about the process and THEIR risks so that they can make good choices. That may sound wonderful, but the fact is that most people go with the "low ball" quote and instantly become victims, without ever even knowing it, and the few honest mortgage folks get TOTLLY screwed just because they were honest! HA! My point is that most in society fall for the "pretty words" of the criminals, crooks, and charlatans, only to be victimized over and over and over again and again, so the end result is the disaster that we have in society today (which is actually FAR worse than most realize). I just like honest "win/win" dealings as a rule, because of every reason imaginable... The sad thing is that dishonest people make FAR more money and get FAR more power than the honest folks ever dream of having. Society rewards the dishonest and then complains that there are dishonest people! HA! HA! HA! This is "stupid is, as stupid does" my friend! No, these bios in the election material are not worth much, however, ironically these days there are some keywords and phrases that are MASSIVE red flags! If a candidate claims that they are "big government", DEI, or "alphabet soup = sexual friendly" that is a HUGE problem for everyone who demands their freedom and rights, even if they are on board with those things! Do we want government workers who are focused on their jobs, or focused on their personal agendas??? There are many ways that these politicians "signal" that they are socialists, communists, Marxists (basically anti-American satanists and Luciferians), as opposed to the Patriotic Americans who do sometimes run for office. It will be interesting to see what Jake Seegers writes in his bid for office, because I hope that he explains that his efforts will be to bring economic health as well as a safer more common-sense policy standard to Clallam County. We shall see...

Have a fun day~!

Sincerely, Mike

I like your last paragraph and the Thomas Sowell, the wisest man of our generation, quote. I have read the Olympic Herald's account of the PA School Board's censuring of Nancy Hamilton, and it is excellent. He believes she has a case against the school board based on First Amendment rights. I agree with his analysis that she has a right to question the contents of superintendent's contract without fear of retaliation from her peers. I am disappointed that Ms. Hamilton used race as a basis of her defense. She has many more battles to fight, and she should stay with her strength of character and her inquisitive mind. She will garner more respect and more support.

Excellent article, Patriot Jeff Tozzer~!

There is no better proof that "we" (Americans) have been tricked time & time again, by evil and unscrupulous criminals in government & politics who have used "identity politics" (usually racist politics) against all of us, than what we are seeing in the Port Angeles School Board~! These criminals in government constantly light matches between our toes to give us "hot foot" pain to distract us, while they rob us of our freedom, rights, and monies~! These criminals in government know that they destroy the very fabric of our community and society, and they could care less because power and money is all they value... Ha! I am waiting for the disastrously evil "Laurel & Hardy" duo, the hate filled Ron Allen and his nepotistic "installed" big-mouthed female family member, to come running to defend Nancy Hamilton because she is an American Indian that is being abused and attacked~! Crickets? Nothing but crickets? I thank Nancy Hamilton for having the honor and class to question the school board and their highly suspicious behavior. I do not automatically assume that the school board is attacking Nancy Hamilton because she in an American Indian, because they would most likely do the same thing to anyone who dared to reveal serious questions about their behavior.... Why is it that I am out and about in our community, regularly spreading the joy that is me, and I don't see, hear, or experience any real level of racism at all, BUT the criminals in our local governments CONSTANTLY throw gas on the flames of racial divide every single opportunity that they get (even when there is obviously none to begin with)??? I do hear how people that move to the Pacific Northwest from California are supposedly "the problem" and there is no doubt that some real A-Holes from California have moved here, but the lie that Californians have caused all of the problems is insane and plays right into the hands of the REAL criminals who have created ALL of our problems~! Yes, some people from all over the country, and no doubt world, have moved here and helped to cause our problems in one way or another, but you don't hear about all the good folks who moved here who DON'T cause problems and DON'T want these problems. Upon close inspection, looking past the shills and puppets who are being used as the public facing patsies, you will find that the REAL problems have been and are being caused mostly by the people who have lived here in Washington State all of their miserable lives~! It only takes a handful of well entrenched wealthy & powerful native Washington State "Individuals and/or families" to import their evil puppets to take the heat off of themselves, by distracting all of us with their evil puppets and their underhanded "identity politics" schemes~! The fingers always point back to those hiding behind the scenes, when you get past the first layers of their carefully designed & constructed illusion... This is the same process of deceptions by using patsies, that has existed in our so-called "civilization" (open air prison) for literally thousands of years, so ALL Americans now need to work on their personal discernment skills to be able to identify this very old sick pattern~! The vast majority of times that these criminals in government are blatantly going against the will and best interests of the population, this old evil shell game of deception exists and in play~!

Sincerely, Mike

Great public comments; thank you for playing those in the podcast!

Teresa was in the right when she pointed out that Mielke needs to do his job. According to google: Clallam County Administrator Todd Mielke earns an annual starting base salary of $195,316.

The median household income in the county is a little over $70,000. Mielke is making over double that. So, that means he gets to do double the work.

I have no doubt he’s working long hours and doing a lot of work, but when any county employee/public servant refuses to recognize what they are getting paid compared to the people in this county who work every bit as hard — and sometimes they work for government employees who have higher expectations of private sector workers than they do of themselves — their excuses fall flat.

All he has to say is “you’re right, there is no excuse, I will take care of this as soon as I can; thank you for your patience.” That takes less time than making excuses — it also takes integrity. Service from overpaid servants would be nice.

Trent Pankowski's avatar

Teresa asked a good question. When I heard her comment and Milkies response. My first response was to a comment I heard from a constuction superidentant a few years ago. He said I dont want to hear the labor pains just show me the baby. Thats what we the people want. No excuses, no word salads just show us the baby.

ONE QUESTION: I will ask repeatedly until I get a coherent answer: What lands in Clallam County ARE NOT subject to "Land Back"? Is it only waterfront and 'desirable' properties? Why not ALL of it???

The land your aprtment building sits on? YOUR house? I'm thinking we just all need to move out and give up the entire county. Why not? That's a feel good move!

Good morning Jeff and Doggers,

Again the topics should read once more Hypocrisy 201, higher levels and should be called out every time.

I do find it funny that Todd can even defend the fact it's taken 14 months to hash out details with Sequim and Port Angeles. One of the many NGO's should give him one if their assistants we are already paying for.

Keep it real y'all and Thanks for the great stuff Jeff and all Doggers. Have a great day!

Hi John it is my opinion they want to shut this group down and make you all look like the bad people, but I say keep up the good work! God Bless you all!

John Worthington's avatar

Thank you, Elizabeth. You hit the nail on the head, and your encouragement means a lot.

They absolutely want to shut us down, but they forget exactly how this community was built. Clallam County Watchdog was forged by the very people they tried to silence. This group was born directly out of the act of censorship and socialist control when a community of neighbors was heavily censored, muted, and systematically removed from Nextdoor for asking tough questions.

When the bureaucratic establishment couldn't control the narrative on their corporate platforms, they resorted to digital exile to make us look like the bad guys. But instead of giving up, those actions backfired completely.

This shows us two different ways to stand up for what is right. There is tending—the quiet, steady work of planting and protecting. Then there is turning—the active, loud disruption of a broken, top-down system. When they kicked us out, they forced the salt out of the jar. Instead of shutting us up, it forced us to build our own table, stand up, and stop the damage.

We aren't going anywhere, Elizabeth. God bless you, and thank you for keeping the lights on with us!

Elizabeth Harvey's avatar

Hi John, glad to hear back from you I will do my best to keep the lights on I think this is a great group!

Thanks to Jeff and others on this site for allowing we dissonants the opportunity to speak freely. A long time ago at the dog park I heard two Boomer females speak enthusiastically about the glories of diversity while living here in Sequim! I said that their fantasy could easily be fulfilled and I offered my former zip code. I warned them however that they would need a metal door and a state of art alarm system if their desire for diversity was earnest.
