This reminds me of our family. My late husband and I would sit 2 weeks before Easter each night and stuff eggs for our grandchildren. We stuffed over 500 eggs each year. Sadly to say last year was his last and our grandchildren are all to grown now. Love to get in touch with her Jeff to help out next year. Such memories.

Isn't that funny how the simplest things bring back the best memories? I'd call or stop by the Elks next March. They are so friendly and their priority is to give, give, and give back to the community. Karen is a sweetheart, you'll get along great.

When there was a Jaycee club here in town, which I was a member of, we also hosted an Easter egg hunt. A hundred dozen eggs we purchased from Lehmann’s store. Split up throughout the members, to boil and bring back to the Legion hall where we met to dye the eggs and socialize.

Meeting at Carrie Blake Park to hide the eggs. It took a few hours to hide the eggs. But 5 minutes later, after the start time, all the eggs had been found.

We quickly learned that we couldn’t dye the eggs one at a time like at home. Metal pots came into use, food dyes mixed, eggs dropped in , colored and taken out to dry. It took longer to boil them than to dye them. A great project all around. 😄

Bud and I were in Jaycees for 10-11 years..were you in the club after 1986? There was the men’s club and the women’s auxiliary.

Some of my favorite memories are of Jaycee activities/ events that we were so fortunate to grow up w/ & be a part of here- I’ll forever treasure all of it & the friends & family (like you Aunt Shell 😘) that made it all possible ❤️
