The Commissioners did not reply to yesterday's email asking what they consider when launching an investigation or providing security when constituents say their safety feels threatened.

Here is today's email to the commissioners:

Dear Commissioners,

In the past, the Board has worked with activists, including the League of Women Voters, on policy initiatives like restricting masked federal agents on county property.

[Picture of Commissioner Mark Ozias meeting with Norma Turner to discuss federal mask policy.]

Would you show that same willingness to work with everyday citizens to ensure out-of-state sex offenders are properly registered in Washington?

Recently, a Level 3 offender from New York with a Sequim address was charged with sexual assault in Clallam County, but he does not appear in Washington’s registry. That raises obvious public safety concerns.

Will you take steps to address potential gaps—and work with the public to make sure individuals like this don’t slip through the cracks?

As long as the Republican party continues to adhere to their core principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and traditional social values, I see no reason to change my thinking. They support lower taxes, deregulation, free market capitalism, and restrictions on labor unions.

MK's avatar

That's what I used to think until I saw an interview that documented government spending under different situations such as a Democrat president and a democratically controlled Congress, or a Democrat president and a republican-controlled Congress, etc.

It clearly laid out that the Republicans can spend money every bit as fast as Democrats, if not more. That interview laid out the best we ever had was under Clinton and Republican control to Congress. It was sort of a perfect balance.

This isn't to say that each party doesn't spend taxpayer money on the same thing, but I question the fiscal restraint of both parties.

As such I'm a fan of Jake's platform.

"Is it essential, is it effective?"

I can only describe it as fiscally conservative. To attribute it to a party is something that I can no longer do because of the information that I saw.

I Iistened to Marcia Kelbon's "Candidate Forum" a few years ago and afterwards pondered that based on her answers that she didn't fit into the R or D box, rather moderate. I recognize the risk she's taking by not tithing to either, but this feels appropriate to what I heard.

It was quite an emotional experience to listen to her talk about her experience with addiction in her family.

She's another wedge, and thusly I'll coin her and Jake as belonging to the Wedge party where we start to pry away from these useless organizations.

Vote for Marcia

Vote for Jake

Dismantling USAID, and other Bolshecrat Timmy Wheeler type kickback schemes, has deprived funding for the rent-a-mob industry so its back to infecting local Clallam county government. Investigations into other revenue streams on the Federal end, and the donors behind them, has curtailed the use of paid protestors. They still show up but are wearing depends. leftover 1960s, 70's losers who never emotionally matured one iota since then

Russell, I guess they will have to recycle their BLM signs ; )

Good morning Jeff and Doggers,

Dr Berry and Tim Wheeler and a sex offender in the same article...they all tie together with the crazy left agenda and leaving communities in a mess !

Defund the behavior health system. Vote out loony representation and let's build back a state that truly represents the people that pay the taxes!

Jake is the local solution... Marcia is another for our district!

Thanks for the heads-up on next Thursday. I'll bring my brittle bag for Jake Seegers.

Have a great day all...

Excellent article Jeff Tozzer~!

You really hit this one "out of the park" my friend~!!!

Being an American Constitutionalist for over 60 years I have often wondered why the majority of Americans allowed themselves to be pushed & shoved into any political party, because the REAL American Constitutionalist is the ultimate "Independent Voter" who can NOT, by definition, be "political"~! Even though it is often painful and against our own "personal emotions" American Constitutionalists MUST ALWAYS put aside our personal feelings to at all times support, abide by, and enforce the original American Constitution (and the other original supporting founding documents of America). Walking that walk is the most difficult path in life for any American, because that glorious standard is never actually achievable by flawed mortal human beings. However, if "we" (Americans) shoot for the stars, we are striving for that greatness as an Induvial and as a People that the American Republic was always founded to be. Communism, and ALL other "ism's" are in direct conflict with The American Constitution, the American Republic, and ALL of the American people, so all should be warned against those most serious & lethal past, present, and future risks to ALL American's life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness~! Supporting communism or ANY "ism" in ANY way is by law, and the very definition of Treason, supporting the most evil infringement of ALL Individual freedom and every single Individual right~! No exceptions! Do NOT be tempted by the "lipstick" on that pig, as it is THE poisonous death waiting for the opportunity to take its victims~! This clown Tim Wheeler and ALL who attempt to invoke communism, or any other "ism" in America, need to be arrested, lawfully criminally prosecuted, and sentenced to the HIGHEST & most severe level of justice that is humanly possible~! This IS the very root of ALL of our most serious, dangerous, and deadly problems that "we" here in Clallam County and all across America (and the world) will ever face~! Keep up the great work exposing this atrocity that has been in process for a very long time~!

Sincerely, Mike

Excellent article.💥

Steve P.

Please come to the commissioner meeting and speak this incredible fact-pact statement.

Thank you and I concur.

Allison Berry-

She speaks death and disease.

She does not speak Life into people, she hands out killer drugs.

Her soul… sad.

Bought & paid for.

Sex offenders should be branded….or wear something to identity them to the public So we can be aware of them. And teach our children about them.

They will not and cannot be changed

It’s in their blood. Sort of like narcissists.

They will actually tell you the same thing. It’s been studed through the many years They cannot be rehabilitated. It’s the same old story…There are what they are and always will be. Research it if you don’t believe me. And they are walking the streets… looking for prey like a wild animal. Yet their privacy is more important and always has been… than protecting the innocent. This will never change. As time goes on more and more people especially the young will be affected by this sick human being. We are suppose to accept it and have for many years and will continue to do so till someone does something about this.

Did you see the article from the Olympic Herald today regarding the school districts and sexual misconduct of their employees in the Sequim school district and Port Angeles school district?

Stoffer reads like a real sleeve bag & acts like one too. I’m glad to know he is being exposed for the jerk I’ve experienced him to be also. Yes this person is what the left complains about constantly but when it’s one of theirs he’s a hero?

John Worthington's avatar

But they still let him fly in formation with the communist flock...

4 reasonable development's avatar

Oh yeah, he flies higher, it’s their creed…

Kristin's avatar

Reading the OH today completely explained why there was the request for security by one for the commissioners meetings. Holy poop he is way worse than I thought.

MK's avatar

I can't imagine dropping my standards to chum around with the likes of him.

Jennifer's avatar

MK, the Olympic Herald article lays down a history I never knew about (there wasn't eye opening substacks back then) You could have heard a pin drop in my office as I was reading it! I had to get up and walk around to clear my head.

MK's avatar

Yea, that's some serious stuff. I dont think that the community knows how bad it can be.

Lynae Hall's avatar

Yes…he’s disgusting …if he’s not stopped he will continue To behave this way. Maybe not here… but somewhere…. He’s a sick human being

MK's avatar

The only way he stops is if his circle decides he's a liability to their goals.

Kristin's avatar

M.O. sure should see him that way a pedo protector etc. is not going to be good for his future.

Jennifer's avatar

Lynae, Jake Seegers did something about it. He exposed vouchers for free showers at the Shore Aquatic Center. A Smorgasbord for sex offenders and pedophiles. The outrage from the community was such that the program vouchers were stopped within a few days. That is what I call caring about the community! Yes, I agree, you can't change the behavior. Castration does not stop the mind of these people.

MK, I'm not so sure of the death penalty, but I am sure if it happened to my child I would absolutely volunteer to be on the firing squad, if that makes sense.

Yes, When it comes to Public Health, Dr. Allison Berry makes a mediocre politician.

I guess if you suck in the medical field (helping people) politics, with no consequences would be a go to career!

Please check you PCP background, we are patients not victims.

Has anyone read this latest article? The Olympic Herald has documented a lot of concerns with the Sequim School District and the PA school district, and has included the issues surrounding former commissioner Stoffer.

https://www.olympicherald.com/p/the-sequim-school-district-cover

"The hypocrisy of Stoffer’s actions is staggering."

"Rather than keeping confidential personnel investigations secure, Stoffer used his position to funnel rumors directly to the public and specific factions within the district."

"Stoffer’s monitoring of social media was so aggressive and intrusive that it actually triggered internal grievances against him."

"Stoffer’s commitment to silencing his critics went to alarming, retaliatory extremes. When Piersoll began posting heavily about the district’s dysfunction on NextDoor and Facebook, Stoffer didn’t just disagree with him—he actively tried to destroy the man’s career and his family’s livelihood."

The Olympic Herald brings forth much good information that is often not available elsewhere.

It's increasingly clear that the only thing the Commissioners care about it how to launder money.

King county cannot account for $13 Million in funds allocated for their homeless effort.

That confirms my gut-felt allegations that the "homeless problem" is intentional to siphon money into offshore bank accounts.

Child molesters? Communists? Vandalism? Who cares? How do we cash in on it?

Warning, Powdermonkey comments ahead. Prepare for a take down of anything sane and respected in Clallam County. Of course Jeff will be a target, but he can handle it.

I’m allowed to openly question Mr Monkeys motivation or is it Mr Monkeys AI?

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

I think MrP Monkey took his comments down and put them between his legs in shame and left.

Nothing weird is implied here!

I met an independent thinker at Swain's General Store the other day: the cashier. She put it plainly: cash is here to stay, because that's all some people have. She wasn't making a party argument, she was describing her county, the people who come through that door, the knowledge you carry when you actually live somewhere among real people. That kind of local knowledge, grounded in place and obligation rather than ideology. It is older, and more reliable, than anything a party platform has ever produced. I wrote this piece based on that interaction.

Don’t forget Ozias immediately jumped getting Stoffer police protection last year at the courthouse while he served on the Charter Review Commission because a commenter, Eric Feirman, supposedly threatened Stoffer without & questionably threatening Stoffer. No law enforcement officer could definately say it was a threat but according to some, like Ozias it was a threat & if Stoffer requested extra security Ozias was going to make sure he got it. The supposed threat was on BOCC camera. The recording is controversial whether it constituted a threat? Tax payers got to foot the security bill too, btw.

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

Stoffer is a little whiner that should have resigned if he felt threatened. No one else did?

How is that possible.? Maybe he was just the worst one at the job. A grown man needs security. His ego was beyond reality. He just isn’t that important.

UFOCCWD's avatar

The taxaholic liberal party that controls Clallam co has no intention of changing course or it would have been done by now. They have no intention of being transparent because it would require honest answers for their actions. They feel empowered by all their NGO'S and close personnel.I suspect the only behavior change will come when elections come time then they will pour B.S. out their mouths to try and fool some voters that do not pay attention to the facts.

I think you're taking things too far if you believe Wheeler has the lady in a warm embrace. But then again, I've noticed the tendency here to take things to an extreme rather than provide a balanced dialog.

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

How do you think Vanity Fair would cover it if a member of the Proud Boys or an Oath Keeper had their arm around the Chair of the CC Republicans?

Scott Clausen's avatar

You're jumping to conclusions. There is quite a difference between the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers and Tim Wheeler. I'm no fan of Wheeler but to try and make this comparison invalidates any argument you want to make.

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

Communism is pretty radical and extreme in my book.

John Worthington's avatar

Especially one that wants to take what you have and give it to someone else.

ABeetle, I do miss a lot when I read but I didn't miss that one. Jeff never insinuated a warm embrace. I was insinuated by the writer.

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Jennifer, I’m confused by what you’re saying. Jeff’s exact words from the article were “And seated beside him, within his warm embrace, is the head of the local Democratic Party.” How is that not insinuating a warm embrace?

Jennifer's avatar

Don, below is the sequence, Scott latched onto "warm embrace" I latched onto "arm around" and "anything personal..what the image represents" There's no need to turn this into something it isn't. It's down to you say potatoe I say potato.

Jeff's Article

"...an out and proud communist, longtime activist, and co-founder of the Sequim Good Governance League—sat with his arm around Ellen Menshew, Chair of the Clallam County Democrats.

This isn’t about suggesting anything personal. It’s about what that image represents.

And seated beside him, within his warm embrace, is the head of the local Democratic Party.

I think you are making excuses. You may have the last word now. I will not continue the conversation any further.

That's pretty much the Democrats these days. They are a communist flock here. Those two are peas in a pod at the very least no sense trying to deny it. Might as well face fact. They are too far left for me and my days as a Democrat have been over for 14 years now, because of people just like Menshoe and Wheeler.

When I was younger those types were relegated to the living wage mafia. Just making sure there was manageable down and distance, I put up with them looking through that lens, especially in hands on finished product unions. Then they went from finished product hardworking types to SEIU types just looking to keep growing where they could since Obama used his magic wand to build up the world economy and thin their ranks.. Make no mistake they are formidable here and in every blue state. When they crossed over from manageable down and distance for backbone workforces to helping damage American interests from a local position..I don't like them Period. I am always hopeful they resume their useful purpose as Americans instead of sabatuers.. I am also always hopeful some person stacking chips killing America pulls their head out of their ass.
