I am impressed with your competency in gathering and sharing this important information. I will make a better effort to become more participatory in my Governance.

It’s probably mostly me, composing, editing, deleting, starting over again….truth hurts unless you are already aligned with it, right? Good job! After rewatching Monday’s public comment period you exposed truth & it really hurt obviously as witnessed by the unacceptable planned responses of Mr. Stoffer, the Chairperson & Ms. Johnson all of whom are far leaning political figures no question. Their goal is to control our 1st Amendment Rights as history has shown, so keep standing up, speaking up and exposing truth whenever we can.

A very productive committee and it's only March! This is an elected, but unpaid, position. Thank you CRC members for your time and hard work. Jeff, you are providing the public service with CCWD that otherwise Clallam County wouldn't by posting this detailed, useful, and informative article. Wow! A truly grateful community is indebted to you for your dogged perseverance and respect for us. I will be there tomorrow! With notes and comments.

This is indeed a great opportunity to make the necessary changes in the way that the local government operates! There are some highly questionable "issues" that "we" need to keep a close eye on here, but in general I can see a number of excellent discussions that absolutely must be held right now to better hold our government managers responsible for their actions and inactions~! Cheers to all lovers of freedom~! Sincerely, Mike

I'm honestly surprised that more of these are not already standard practice...goes to show my ignorance but the state of our governance makes a lot more sense!

No recusal requirements?

No penalty for code of ethics violation?! I wonder who was on the board when that was removed!

No restrictions on advocacy or board membership??

County wide voting for BoCC?!

But I'm also deeply encouraged to see the light being shone in on this stuff and hopefully make some positive changes.

Town-hall meetings with the BoCC

Tax increases only by vote

Independent hearing examiner

Lower permit costs!

More frequently charter review!!

Wow! This is awesome, will be sharing far and wide and attending as many of these town-halls as I can. Thank you, thank you!

Yes, it was done by ordinance back in 2006 by Tharinger, Chapman, and Doherty. The ethics remain, but the civil penalties are gone. It's like having speed limits, but without police to enforce them. https://www.ccwatchdog.com/p/code-of-ethics

Most of them were on the board and decided they needed no code of ethics as I understand it… Jeff pointed it out in an article last year sometime.

I’m so happy you chose to run and were elected to the Commissioner Review Committee rather than pursuing a role as a county commissioner. There’s truly no one with a better understanding of the pulse of our beautiful Clallam County. We are incredibly fortunate to have you in this position, and I am deeply grateful for your dedication and leadership.”

No wonder why current commissioners act the way they do.They do not have the proper mandates that keep their decision making under control.Just recently awarding a multimillion $$$ construction project to jamestown construction without proper lawful bidding process, this alone should have been a severe enough violation that resulted in all three commissioners firings. There have been many past issues lies to the public, issues that have favored jamestown, wasteful spending issues ect ect ect. There should be a written termination clause and verbal reminder when commissioners take their oath.

If current commissioners took their oath seriously and really wanted to help the clallam county legal citizens then they would vote for a property tax freeze that could not go up except for approved school levies and tax rates could go down with inflation increases. But this is doubtful for current taxaholic spenders because they seem to be interested in helping certain tribes get their taxes lowered.

I have attended my HOA’s meetings in that room where this is being held and can’t imagine more than 25 people will fit comfortably in the that room. Also it is kept very warm in there, so I bet that it would get very warm with a room full of people. Our meetings usually only have around 20 people and it starts to feel very small. Are all of the CRC members attending? I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend this meeting, but I wish you all luck and hope for a great turnout.

A paid co water steward, no way. Co comms and environmental health started an advisory group a few years ago of their own selectees and met once. System owners and consumers are in conflict with Ozias expansion of Co givermwnt who wants Co in the water business, peach and Johnson understand at least now why they shouldn't. Ozias now believes the pud staff are best equipped to manage systems because that is what they do he says. The best managers are the system owners. One size does not fit all. You can be certain they will only hire another whacked environmentalists with their own agenda, add fees like ozias and ignore the institutional knowledge of the people whom have a vested interest providing for their families and neighbors. The state already has a huge department of unelected employees forcing their personal objectives called the office of drinking water. They have added another ecology office within to make rules even more difficult than what state ecology has created. The federal EPA applauds them for adding more regs they cannot. Clallam has hundreds of small water systems whom have fewer health violations than large systems and already suffer with the paperwork, useless fees and revolving staffs personal goals. The state and co view the essentials of life as a money maker. The government knows people will always pay their utilities first, at the expense of their health to provide good food, medical care and living conditions. Let the people do what they do best!!

We NEED these amendments on the Charter. Are the members of this CRC tools of the current Commissioners??? Currently our Commissioners can do anything they please...

As long as the Commissioners are met with continued, zero-resistance, the scenario will continue. Our Republic was established on and faced severe push back, but we perservered, and prevailed; that is what is required, and has been utililized by those currently pulling the strings. Freedom (liberty) isn't free, requiring routine maintenance, and due-diligence.

Need to prioritize most important issues for amendments to charter on November ballot. Too many things will only confuse voters and end up with unanticipated circumstances. Please be ready to present your prioritized list tomorrow night.

Might be good to watch what occurred at the Charter Review Monday night before you go tomorrow night. The Charter Review is leaning on some First Amendment Rights or so they voted on taking action against one of our commissioners in District 1…..I feel an attack on one is an attack on all, let’s hope they see the light. We have to continue to expose all the truth…..please share to show how it’s happening here…

I'd watch at 4:47 where Jim Stoffer introduces an item not on the agenda. It's over by 13:40.

Then watch 2:04:15 for a while until 2:21:13.
