I think the credit is owed to some curmudgeonly men too. As for renaming, I do NOT need to read a headline that says, "Tozzer had a bad accident." Or tell a lost delivery truck driver that he can "take it up Tozzer."
That's my Dad's old development. He wanted to name it "Tozzer Meadows," but my sister and I begged him not to. I don't know why, now I think it would have been funny.
Congratulations, Jeff, Mr. Ash, the Peanut Gallery, and CC Watchdoggers! You deserve a celebration and a night of community. Thank you for your dedication, commitment, and selflessness. You make me proud to call Sequim "home." Blessings and grace to all.
I wonder why the speed limit on Town Road between Old Olympic Highway to Woodcock is still 35. Does the speeding only occur north of Woodcock? You just have to wonder who is pulling the strings and to what end.
We drove on it yesterday, stopping at the dairy to buy some raw milk and cheese, then continued back on Sequim-Dungeness.
Congratulations to all who wrote letters, attended meetings, threatened lawsuits and tarred & feathered County Commissioners to see the project's completion. A special thanks to Jeff Tozzer, our activist hero who spearheaded the effort on behalf of Clallam County residents.
Drove up TOWN road to the end. No longer Town road on the northend as Town rd is in front of the old schoolhouse. I'm glad the county could put up the new speed signs so quickly. Unable to get them to cut tree limbs on a bad corner at Kitchen-Dick and Woodcock for over 6 months of calls. But dang, new approved reduced speed limit make it in a week or less. Show where the priority is for some of our commissioners.
And a big THANK YOU to you Jeff for faithfully reporting what is happening in CC! It has certainly opened my eyes and others that I have passed information to. THANK YOU!
All I want to know is what is going to happen to all the tire particulates on every single road in Clallam County that flow into the gutters, gullies, and ditches that flow into creeks and streams that flow into the Strait, Sound & precious waterways? What is going to be done about this and based on the cost of Towne Road where is the money going to come from since the County is now facing financial crisis?
We rode our bikes on it the morning after it opened! So nice to see the cows again at the creamery. Also super nice to get to Chi’s without having to go 5 miles out of our way. I really appreciate your tenacity on this project, Jeff. Three cheers to you!
Rename Tozzer Blvd.
Without you, Jeff, this would not have happened!!!

Has a nice ring to it!
It would be a fitting honorarium.
There is already a road named after a Tozzer. It would not be allowed by County Code.

I will drive the road tomorrow, because it is ours, not theirs.
drove on it the day it opened thanks to Jeff Tozzer. It would never have happened without you.
Don't forget how many times you attended meetings and gave public comment, Rick.

We did it! Thank YOU Denise for bringing that much-needed Italian tenacity.
😉
This could not have been done without you Jeff. Thank youl
You are so welcome. I hope everyone understands how many people had a hand in this.
Awesome news! Congratulations to all who put in the time and effort!

Glad you both drove on the road that you paid for, NOI. Thanks for the kind words... couldn't have done it alone.
Great updates. Thank you Jeff.

Congratulations ! Thank you for being the bee in the bonnet. Looking forward to traversing it. I am a Dungeness Dairy regular.
Great, thanks for supporting a local business!
Taking to heart the water districts residence solidarity… thank you Jeff for capturing all that a coming together can bring! 😊
You're welcome Paula!

Thanks Jeff if it wasn’t for you…..

More on that Sunday...😏
Each and every particulate particle must be documented, looged, filed, and accounted for by Ozias!

You're welcome, Lynne. Thank you and Doug for being so vocal when it was important. Safe biking!
It turned out great! Very ample walking trail, well designed with a nice intersection with Sequim Dungeness Way.
