If Mr. French truly believes what he is publicly saying, he would contact the Jim Stoffers of the world individually and tell them to cease the false negatives immediately, and do it in a public manner for all to see. Mike actually believes in the build back better doctrine our local NGO's have pursued the last 14 years. His job is to collect 108 grand and do what the NGO's tell him and to laugh at Eric and the rest of us when we make policy suggestions.
I would recommend looking at the Recompete grant. The Clallam Bay visitor center has been revitalized with his help. Mike is instrumental in helping to obtain a full time employee/point person for the center as well. He has been leading Advisory meetings in Sekui monthly which has reinvigorated community engagement. It was his suggestion to the Slippoint Lighthouse Keepers to apply for a Lodging Tax grant which we used to build our website. Slippointlighthouse.org.

He helped your little project and has wasted more money on homeless projects ten times over yours, French has not done anything to really make a difference to make this a better place to live. I have heard a local business owner speak about the seasons at the meetings but not what your referring too. The area definitely relies on the fishing industry a lot.
Are those "reasons" negatively affecting their businesses, and if so how has Mike been dealing with their concerns?
I have a neighbor who spent considerable money to fish the Kings out there. I looked up what he told me and the WDFW arbitrarily made a poor decision on the take limits in that area despite having different take limits in neighboring areas (PA and Neah Bay). As a result he's out money and he said that the businesses associated with fishing were hurting as a result.
Maybe it doesn't matter really what the reason is, but overall my interest is your understanding what Mike is doing to help the businesses deal with the negative affects on their businesses.

I am speaking from my personal experience with his engagement with our West End groups and attending community meetings. It has been a positive experience for me and I have learned a lot. I obviously support him.
