Jake Seegers, Excellent Excellent article and presentation! There are so many twists, turns, lies and errors, who could have figured this one out? You did, and made it understandable to us. I take my hat off to you…. I once was blind, but now I see ; )

Nice job Jake. This is the definition of forensic accounting. All government agencies and NGO's should be put through this analysis. I do disagree on one point, however, I don't think the discrepancies you found were just "miscalculations". These entities use every trick possible to show continual need for public money. Sometimes tricks can be funny, but sometimes tricks can be fraud.

TJ, I usually take people at their word. But, after going through all of CCD's claims, I agree with you.

Taking 'grant recipients' at their word is a non-sequitur.

They believe in 'magic money' and an endless flow of it...that doesn't cost us anything!

These people are mentally ill and in deep cognitive dissonance!

They have no provable value in their agencies...no 'metrics' as stated.

Grant monies (borrowed from 'The Fed'-using us as collateral) are corrosive and corruptive to a society.

By their fruits you shall know them!

But they have good 'jobs'...so there is that.😱

Thank you Jake. The commissioners obvious believe that more government is better, regardless of the actual need or fiscal accountability. They dislike the public getting its nose under the tent door and questioning their motives and results. One wonders what a county deep-dive, line-item budget review would reveal.

Expand full comment
Jacob Seegers's avatar

That is a "deep-dive" that is sorely needed.

I always wondered what happened to all the 'new money' flowing into the county coffers from all the 'high end' properties being built up and out, especially the ones where all the infrastructure already exists and just needs 'hooking up'.

Magically everything just costs more and more even without inflation factored in.

The 'myth' of 'cost sharing' is an open sore on our society...the more participating, the more everything costs! Not 'buying' it!🥸

Dysfunctional "family" dynamics seem to be the norm in local government and NGOs. The excuses passed down from "leadership" become their "truth." As Langhorne Slim sings in 'We the People" : Do not follow the leader, the leader is compromised, and big politics are theater built to break our spine.

Very difficult to change.

Worth trying.

I think we need to confront these people with the MORALS and ETHICS OF REALITY!

Most importantly, thank you Mr. Seegers for solidifying my resolve to turn in my petition form to you which currently sits at 7, but along with another neighbor we've gathered 13 signatures so far. I'd encourage any reader of this article who agrees with the intent of the petition to at a minimum print out a copy, sign it, and mail it in if you don't have time to gather signatures from neighbors or friends.

The stage is being set here. In light of clear evidence that the citizens of Clallam County are being hoodwinked if the BOCCCs votes in favor of the $5 fee it'll be the gateway to future unfettered desires put into action by three people, not the electorate.

The worst part about this is that it takes a private citizen to do what our BOCCC isn't doing. This theme isn't new with the current crew. There's a serious lack of diligence on display to ensure that our hard earned tax dollars are being spent efficiently and for anyone new to CCWD articles this is one of many examples.

Good job Jake,

There is nothing worse than liars that can figure but are caught in a lie pretending they are figuring.

Mark Ozias is waiting for an international government ,California and tribes to decide our comprehensive plan, after they pretend to run all the aspects of it by the public first.

Oh were not done they said at the DRMT. But they still have not offered to show us what the international government ,California and tribes have identified and informed them on.

They do a dog and pony show, then do what international government ,California and tribes tell them to. Which based on previous years is "rechanneling growth to the UGA."

They use riparian science because they can use the river to take property. In their minds that is their plan for rechanneling growth.

To do this they cross their own science and sacrifice salmon spawning and water conservation in favor of wild river enhancement.. ie the salmon Ciscoe. planting trees and vegetation.

Now they have monetized the process and are getting people to pay for themselves to get re-channeled.

Its dastardly.

Gov. Ferguson just told the windmill committee people to head back to the Yakama Tribe and get their input before submitting their plans to place wind turbines in the Yakima WA region. And logging remains a big issue in our own backyard. Probably a lot of input to the Democrats/state legislature to mandate a "NEW and IMPROVED" COMPREHENSIVE plan in 2025 for the development of Washington towns and counties. Wouldn't surprise me if that is why the MORATORIUM was placed on Westbrook development. Will Sequim be held harmless and can't be sued by the developer - "We didn't know the Legislature was going to change the rules of the game!"

Great work Jeff Tozzer & Jake Seegers~!

Obviously, just like every other financial "government scam" these compulsive habitual liars in our government do actually have excellent math skills, because they have very clearly already properly accounted for the funds, otherwise, they would not have conspired to lie about the so-called "lack of funds" to deceive the good folks of Clallam County in the first place~! They thrive on "appearing to be stupid and incompetent" but they are actually the lowest form of shyster criminals on earth~! They absolutely continue to prove that there will NEVER be enough stolen money or power that will satisfy their evil plans and agendas~! Their only mission is to rob from the struggling & poor, only to enrich the wealthy, which always seems to include themselves as recipients of "our" stolen tax & fee dollars~! More power for themselves, and less & less freedoms for us~! Ha! What a shock huh~? These criminals within our governments, and the other snakes who always have their hands in our "pockets", will NEVER stop until they are stopped~!

Sincerely, Mike

Thank you SO much Patriot m b~!

I also appreciate what you have to say~!

Yes! These are the very criminals of humanity who ALWAYS ignore and circumvent The American Constitution, so that they can forward their own evil personal agendas that are COMPLETELY against our wishes~! Whenever they get cornered, they try to tell us that they know better than "we the people" because "we" are too stupid & Ignorant to do the right thing/s. That could not be further from the truth~! Good Americans who follow the law of the land as best they can, do so out of respect for the legal & lawful process that is the glue for any decent country (society). These scumbags constantly disrespect and criminally violate the law of the land, which they hate, because they gain tremendous personal profit and power by doing so. They therefore attempt to trick the useful idiots & low IQ people into believing "the ends justifies the means" which is always at the root of Hell on earth for the vast majority~! We can NOT peacefully "coexist" with these criminals in our midst~! Ha! I thought that the fun rhyme would be a welcomed comic relief~! Remove them from office, prosecute them for their crimes. file legal Tort (civil) actions wherever possible, and make sure that they receive the justice that they deserve WITH personal liability for violating the public trust and stepping WAY outside of the limits of their authority, as a message to ALL now and into the future going forward~! We owe this to all future generations ;-))

Keep the faith my friend~!

Sincerely, Mike

How many people will we have seeking "clean water" on a citizen funded payroll somewhere? Is there overlap here(

As I pointed out yesterday:

Apparently Clallam County has a water quality specialist on the payroll already?

Page 2, look at the notes from Janine Reed:

"Janine Reed, Clallam County: Updating onsite regulations

to coincide with the state WAC. Public Hearing coming up.

No major changes, main things are RV parks and splitting

flows. HIRED A WATER QUALITY SPECIALIST, YAY! Appreciate

working with Conservation Districts. Been able to disperse

more funds for repairs than ever before, and always

looking for more funding for this (Thanks to Sandra

We are being told by Clallam County Commissioners to trust that the Clallam Conservation District is necessary and are doing a great job in ensuring clean water, proper septic treatment, and improved soil management. This, from an organization whose leadership can’t even add. Trust them? And our commissioners can’t add either. They choose to listen to their boards and special interest groups that support their own special interest, like re-election, or art and cultural tax. Where is their due diligence to check out the facts and figures presented when asked to spend our money? Thanks to CC Watchdog, and Jake Seeger for doing the work of our commissioners. Flaura's Acres (County land not part of Sequim) just up the hill from the Shipley Center. Well they have a leaky septic system. And we all know ---- runs downhill. I guess this has been a well guarded secret maybe even from the CDC itself. But a grant was received by the County, $s to help fix the problem. Yikes all of a sudden this money is being transferred to Sequim, Sequim will handle/fix the septic issue, In turn Sequim will annex Flaura's acres. Wow!

Doesn’t matter who pays, all these decades old septic systems need to be replaced. Areas that are by sensitive habitats and water sources, have so much potential for harm. All these houses in Diamond Point are on septics, really old ones right next to the Strait. If CC has so much $ that math doesn’t even matter, than put in a sewer system!

Geoff Fox's avatar

Where my crazy brain was going was Land Trade Offs. If this makes sense. One of the threads in Watchdog comments is land going tribal and therefore off the tax rolls. If one believes that Sequim and the County acquiesce to every tribal request - well, not a good deal for the remaining tax payers. E.G. the Tribe owns that block of land in Sequim that includes Hurricane Coffee, If that is removed from the tax rolls Sequim and the County lose revenue. But if the County allows Sequim to annex property (e.g. Flaura's Acres - about 57 homes) then Sequim is "made whole". So how does the County replace Flaua's Acres? allow more housing developments in the County, like we see in Carlsborg.

The 4 winners emerge (Taxpayer, Tribe, County, City) On the other hand infrastructure (roads, water, et. cetera) takes it on the chin until the people rise up!

There is a point in time where no CCD existed and I'm betting on the fact that water was available then. Start there and assess whether or not the water management in place needs any change. Absent that create Government managed "Conservation Districts" for each and every identifiable resource. Conservation District Offices for trees, rivers, mountains, snow, beaches, fish, marine mammals, Elk, deer, bears, etc., etc., etc.. Do we really need Government agencies to duplicate Government agencies ?
