Stoffer needs to go! He needs to be publicly exposed and prosecuted for the things that he did. I am actually shocked that he became a CC commissioner. Evidently people forgot what he did that made him resign. There is absolutely no excuse for this. How many other documents have been leaked that we don’t know about yet? I guarantee you there is! We as citizens need to make a stand that this and other CC commissioners need to be accountable and do the job they were hired to do.

Everita, I agree, but we just need to have “patience grasshopper” Change WILL happen, but not as fast as we want. Old proverb: “If you sit by the river for long enough, you will see the body of your enemy float by”

You and me and CCWD and many others are making a stand, it's systematic and working ; )

Monday meeting will be a forecast of what to expect. I'm anxiously waiting to see if it is actually addressed or cleverly kicked under the table:

"And now, the issue is no longer hypothetical. The agenda for Monday night’s Charter Review Commission meeting lists a presentation by the county’s Deputy Prosecuting Attorney on the legal ramifications of Commissioner Jim Stoffer’s decision to share attorney/client privileged information. The discussion is scheduled for Monday, 5:30 p.m. at the Clallam County Courthouse"

It would be great if we could get people to come to this meeting and stand in solidarity and oust

Stoffer. Absolutely no excuse for what he did. I’ll bet my bottom dollar that there’s other classified documents that he has leaked. He has a track record for doing so.

There’s always the $100K Clallam County “safe parking” deal at his church where he is in charge of safety and security. Jeff, be sure to keep posting the photos of Stoffer with Mark Ozias so everyone can understand why he’s protected. His party alliances got him elected to the CCRC and they probably have no problem sharing confidential memos with tribal personnel — they’re all part of The Program together.

He should be judged by the standards with which he judges others. Fire him.

He's busy running around doing damage control with his peers to ensure that he isn't held accountable. They're likely to happily go along with the plan because they're justifying his actions with the agenda he pushes. The national level corruption isn't good for our small county.

This is all too late in the game for the Commission to take any sort of action. It'll be 5 years until the next CRC meets and all will be forgotten. The language and actions of some of his peer Commissioners in the last meeting already transmitted where this is going. It's bad enough that Stoffer behaves this way, it's worse that the rest of the body acquiesces to him. It's easy to point at him for his misdeeds, but what does it say about the rest of the CRC?

Just like Stoffer winning a seat on the commission this time despite his forked-tongue school district behavior, the next time will be no different. He has ingratiated himself into the agenda driven fabric that is so classic and unique to District 1 voters, and he'll be right back gumming up the people's business. Are the fellow Commissioners mice, or "men"?

His constituents, who vote, don't care. Many are those who ho to his church where it would seem he's bullshitted them too. They're the same constituents who want district wide BOCCC voting to ensure they're still overwhelms the rest of the county, while saying nothing about CRC being voted by only those within their district.

Stoffer's behavior is bizarro material, something fit for a psych doctorate thesis.

What's more depressing? this worthless drone of an old boomer Stoffer with his bygone years of double standards serving his needs stifling the county in one trusted position after another, or the old boomers who have moved hear to the peninsula voting as they always have retardedly and repeatedly their whole lives for the likes of a Stoffer? both locally and national. Its simply mystifies me how these people made it to 60 , 70 plus years of age so mentally vaped yet continue to find niches to crawl out of or into like the cockroaches they are.

There are little groups of no nothing Mrs. Kravitz all over Sequim some call themselves deplorables or other similar nitwit monikers who gravitate to these Stoffer types for a seat at the table or the cocktail party. Its not our younger generation 50 and younger. Its the boomer who had the don't trust anyone over 30 coffee cup back in 1972.

"Book'em - Danno!!"

If he didn't have a double standard, he would have no standards at all. This is inexcusable! But, alas, we have no enforceable ethics standards-- these miscreants made sure of that.

I'm unsure. I wouldn't be surprised if Chair Susan Fisch (Jim's close friend) halts all discussion about the issue and sweeps it under the rug. Since a majority of the Charter Review Commission seems to be politically aligned with Jim Stoffer on national issues, I believe they protect him when he makes mistakes on local issues. It's been fascinating to watch, but I expect nothing to come out of this. He always wriggles free and has no lack of people protecting him (Commissioner Ozias arranging private security for him comes to mind).

Jeff, your statement, “Since a MAJORITY of the Charter Review Commission seems to be politically aligned with Jim Stoffer on national issues, I believe they protect him when he makes mistakes on local issues”

According to the CRC RULES, there are no rules if a MAJORITY (two thirds) votes to suspend the rules… I agree with your statement:

“Chair Susan Fisch (Jim's close friend) halts all discussion about the issue and sweeps it under the rug”

It will be halted immediately by Susan Fisch. No public statements will be allowed. I wonder if Deputy Prosecuting Attorney presentation will even be allowed. "Teflon Don" comes to mind.

SUSPENSION OF THE RULES: THESE RULES MAY BE SUSPENDED BY A TWO-THIRDS VOTE OF THE MEMBERS PRESENT AT ANY REGULAR OR SPECIAL MEETING

When Stoffer's political games are exposed, he scurries to pivot. Be prepared for him to pivot on Monday. The public watches these games and now knows who the players are. We, the public, must show up on Monday night and speak up and demonstrate that we disapprove of Comm. Stoffer leaking privileged documents. Because Stoffer has Benedict, Fisch, Pickens, and Noble fighting to protect him, we must tell them we don't accept their behavior either. CC, let's clean up our own backyard. We start by backing up Jeff at Monday night's CRC meeting and by backing the whistleblower, who bravely took the stance against wrongdoing and hypocrisy. We want answers and actions taken.

Denise, I take my hat off to " the whistleblower, who bravely took the stance against wrongdoing and hypocrisy" This was not easy to do in a small town containing so many Stoffer backers and supporters the whistleblower knew personally. This person's moral backbone is obvious...more are coming forward because of this ethical stance.
