The top three industries in 2025 are Local Government, Excluding Education and Hospitals, Education and Hospitals (Local Government), and Restaurants and Other Eating Places (Economic Development Board). All three of these are tax funded in some way. When NGO and Non-profit salaries are figured in, it results in an unsustainable model. Increased tax burden and fees for everything, even talk of carbon tax on exhaling or bovine emission, will eventually cause societal collapse. So I ask again, what have Clallam County Commissioners done to enhance the economy of the county, other than apply for grants, increase taxation, and allow property to be diverted from tax roles to Tribal sovereignty.

I was talking to a business owner in the area of Peabody and W 1st the other day who had just called 911 because a person had taken up camp in front of his business. Clearly frustrated with the impact on his business that he has to endure.

He's from North Carolina and has been at the Seattle DEA office for 3 years. Ask him about the DEA's 2026 Fentanyl Free America initiative and Washington State Lucas Petty Act. Ask him what actions can the DEA do to remove the 10 year of squatters, environmental toxic, 40 plus Sheriff calls, stolen USPS mail and a haven for drug activity located on 6992 Old Olympic Highway. Ask him how can we undue Sequim's sanctuary city proclamation that is attracting more drug activity, undocumented, homeless and mentally ill population.

As far as the Recompete grant, the grant award was 35 million over 5 years (2024 -2029) to target 25-54 years old to connect them with good paying jobs on the peninsula. The estimate was 900-1,300 jobs during the 5 years. Two years in and we rarely hear any remarks from French at the commissioners meetings. This county was one of just a handful in the country to receive this grant in October 2024. IMHO, we should be receiving consistent reports from French on how this grant is progressing. The articles listed below shows more information on the lagging numbers. A deep dive into the program, shows another grant with so many layers of bureaucracy. Seattle DEA community outreach officer Marcus Pickett will have a table at the Unity of Effort event. Please stop by and meet him. It's his first visit to the Olympic Peninsula. He's from North Carolina and has been at the Seattle DEA office for 3 years. Unlike our CC Commissioners, the Homeless Task Force members, and Public Health, Marcus has been very responsive to my emails and phone calls. Ask him about the DEA's 2026 Fentanyl Free America initiative and Washington State Lucas Petty Act. Ask him what actions can the DEA do to remove the 10 year of squatters, environmental toxic, 40 plus Sheriff calls, stolen USPS mail and a haven for drug activity located on 6992 Old Olympic Highway. Ask him how can we undue Sequim's sanctuary city proclamation that is attracting more drug activity, undocumented, homeless and mentally ill population.
Oh, keep Allison Berry away from him. We don’t want him thinking idiots run this county. How embarrassing. Maybe the three stooges shouldn’t meet him either. Then he will know for sure that idiots run the county.

PDN is suffering the death of a thousand cuts. A drive down any rural road and you see the empty tube receptacles nearly 1 for 1 for every mailbox. Looking backwards that's a total disruption of influence and capital.
They should be fined for littering. They need to be removed they're useless and unsightly and should be collected and recycled or disposed of, it belongs to them i believe most were installed by them.

The article above French quotes, “I’m not interested in my supporters having any of that negative campaigning”, “not an aggressive, attacking campaign”. If that is the case has French come out publicly and attempted to tone down the rhetoric against Jake? I haven’t heard or seen any comments of such. If he believes his statement, where is a public comment to his supporters.
As far as the Recompete grant, the grant award was 35 million over 5 years (2024 -2029) to target 25-54 years old to connect them with good paying jobs on the peninsula. The estimate was 900-1,300 jobs during the 5 years. Two years in and we rarely hear any remarks from French at the commissioners meetings. This county was one of just a handful in the country to receive this grant in October 2024. IMHO, we should be receiving consistent reports from French on how this grant is progressing. The articles listed below shows more information on the lagging numbers. A deep dive into the program, shows another grant with so many layers of bureaucracy. We are nearly two years in, we should be hearing how many high paying jobs have been created. Why do we not hear? Hmmmmm…..
