Thank you for covering what local "news" ignores. Anyone who comes into PA to protest national concerns should first come on an early Saturday morning and take a walking tour of the hungover drug parties from Friday afternoon "harm reduction" at Veteran's memorial park, Jess Webster park, the health dept parking lot on 3rd, the front porches of businesses along Lincoln st, and the 9/11 memorial park. Huddled under tarps with foil in hand or in the parking lots of businesses that closed in ratty RVs you will find some of the sex offenders from the Clallam registry. There are currently 26 registered SO listed in Port Angeles .( search registry by town not your address or you won't see all the listings). Keep in mind new ones show up rather often but don't register until caught for other crimes or failure to register. Of the 26 in PA, 9 are transient or failure to register. Of those 9, 6 were convicted of crimes against children. When I mention this in public comment at PA council meetings I get interrupted to tell me my 3 minutes only has 30 seconds left, or worse get outright eyerolls from council. The chief of police in past has floated the idea of limited permitted park camping with permits controlled by officers, but council seems to prefer the free for all plan and I can only guess that they don't want to restrict sex offenders. Serenity house can deny them entry(rightfully so for protection of the innocent) but they can just plop a tarp or RV by your house or grocery store. I sincerely hope some of those NGO paid outreach workers from various orgs read this blog and will make it their personal responsibility to inform homeless females in PA that Rosa is here in their midst, as reading the article about him it sounds like he may have raped multiple homeless women/girls but only got caught or reported for one case. Just last night on our evening walk right before 10 pm, in the Cherry Hill neighborhood (considered desirable by PA standards) we heard male voices and saw flashlights behind the fence near a back window of a vacant for sale home. We contacted the listing agent who reached out to patrol and via follow up learned yes it was a trespasser but unfortunately no evidence of other crime. I hope the officers are checking for sex offender status in these situations, as it seems like one could even come pitch a tent in your backyard at night.

Susie, an excellent write up. If I had a map in front of the Commissioners, a red pin could have been placed for the problem areas you pointed out. I have great respect for our police officers and I'm sure THEY are aware of these red pin areas, apparently their low numbers and lack of support is a major problem.

They constantly see the worst of humanity, every day, in every way.

The site includes only registered sex offenders. Many are not registered. Some will remove their ankle bracelets and become feral. If they are undocumented or traveling under an alias there is no record.

The far left wing mind doesn't understand cause and effect. They virtue signal smile and continue to get elected. Crime, rot, the politics of envy... And they continue to get elected. It's so evident the rot that is setting into Clallam County. How do you people vote for this?

Quite frankly, having an uninformed populace works extremely well, particularly when you have a media that doesn't understand its responsibility and feels more like it's an arm of a political party. They can really take advantage of an uninformed populace.

Thank you, Jeff, for bringing a very ugly crime into public view. It probably wasn't easy to research and report such heinous crimes. By their actions, the political leaders in Clallam County are a part of this criminal infiltration. There is no defense for allowing murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, and human sex and labor traffickers into our County. Their intent is indifference to any harm that comes to any citizen. They are guilty of aiding and abetting the perpetrators and their crimes. They don't just need to leave office, they need to be prosecuted. No holds barred.

Psychopaths don't feel emotions the same way a normal person does, so that's why they can so blatantly ignore and lie and undermine society and they do it with impunity because so many of our 'officials' are on the spectrum of socio/psychopathy. The ones I have known personally (3 or 4) are charming...they have 'learned' to behave as a normal empathic person, but they are not!

'It's a big club...and we ain't in it!'~George Carlin

One might say that psychopaths are not fully human...their reptilian brains are running the show...they need to be incarcerated, probably in mental institutions, which we don't have, or the ones we do have are catch-and-release.

This is a Spiritual/Psychological Crises!

Clear minds and prayerful attitudes are hopefully the order of the day!πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜‡πŸ˜Ž

From the movie Field of Dreams we have created the nightmare version of it's message "build it and they will come". When you feed the Pigeons you get more Pigeons. Allowing criminals no cash bail, not arresting thieves unless over a certain value amount is involved, expanding what compromises a misdemeanor and providing housing for the indigent; all promote the very behavior society wants to discourage. It is terribly flawed logic. Second chances are a laudable effort, but the goal is lost, if there are no consequences involved. If there are no consequences, why not ? Regardless; no consequences, no worries. If us taxpayers had to pay direct compensation to the victims of crime, professional and citizen law enforcement would become a more valued investment.

It's also a problem if you displace the pigeons...because then they are just 'someone else's' problem...Justice is broken...no society can withstand that.

I'm afraid that 'French-fry's' comment about violence being necessary for 'change' is very near...both sides.

The NWO want domestic violence, terrorism and decay so then U.N. Blue Helmets can be brought in to 'keep the peace'.

Any citizen who is concerned about the crisis of transients in our community, try watching the drop off of busloads by Safeway on Lincoln or the Chevron by Swains. Over a year or so ago I witnessed it myself and was freaked. Then go into the superior court and watch who is arrested & prosecuted and the solution of crime issues with "diversion programs" - anger management, sensitivity classes, drug treatment - at you guessed it - PBH. its it's THE growth industry in CC & particularly PA post Covid that replaced timbet. Bus people into town in the middle of the night who have no support network, wait for them to mess up and them arrest & criminalize their poverty and behavioural issues. Send them thru a treatment program and bill the feds & state. In my opinion it's a dark racket to support an industry based on substance abuse & antisocial behaviour. Follow the money on this one. Somebody dropped them off on our doorsteps & paid them to get here.

It isn't ignorant compassion...it's evil intent.

"Ideology – that is what gives evil doing its long-sought justification and gives the evildoer the necessary steadfastness and determination. That is the social theory which helps to make his acts seem good instead of bad in his own and others’ eyes, so that he won’t hear reproaches and curses but will receive praise and honors… Thanks to ideology, the 20th century was fated to experience evildoing on a scale calculated in the millions. This cannot be denied, nor passed over, nor suppressed.”

―Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn,The Gulag Archipelago

This IS the 'brave new world😱' and the kommissars ARE amoral, immoral and a danger to society...along with other gov't 'workers!

They are NOT just bumbling idiots, they are part of a criminal conspiracy to destroy the American way of life many of us have enjoyed. They MAY not even be (fully) aware of it themselves because of mind-control conditioning but that is no excuse!

They NEED TO GO....NOW!

Focus the outrage into demands for resignations!

High value people Will step up. We need to disband ALL of the NGO influence on our gov't!

Or watch while our entire communities degrade into 3rd world conditions.

I think there are two different ideologies and two visions of our future. One ideology is to produce classless society in which everyone is identical. This concept is based upon the blank slate theory. The other ideology involves the process of Evolution and is explained by Robert Frost who hated the concept of a homogenous society because he wanted to watch the "cream rise to the top". I have noticed that some humans display superior talent and ambition.

I lived in safe neighborhoods when I was a little boy. What has happened to major cities is a sin. Because crime is tolerated and encouraged two or three bread winners are required to purchase a residence inside a safe neighborhood. Most citizens can protect themselves against common criminals if they exercise the 2A rights. The problem is that the left-wing district attorneys and judges hate citizens who defend themselves and are eager to prosecute those defendants, so the process defeats the entire premise underlying the law.
