Thank you for doing this research. This is exactly the background check we needed before he was hired. My only question was which hospitals did he actually turnaround? How does OMC compare?
My take from the August 6 meeting was that this guy had already been hired. The interview done by the Board of Dr. Chen was done to placate staff and community. (He thought the problems could be fixed! FOOL! The hospital Board, headed by Ann, already I'm guessing had established this EXIT PLAN. We want to close this place - understand this!
I grew up in Santa Paula, whose hospital closure Jeff mentions here. I have friends who worked at that hospital during the turbulent closure times. Their stories are frightening. SP is a lot like Sequim, a rural little agricultural town nicknamed the "Lemon Capital of the World" and about 90 miles north of Los Angeles. Kinda like we're a couple of hours from Seattle. Keep a sharp eye on what transpires with OMC in the next 12-24 months. Also, in related news, for those interested in the “Hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians will lose their healthcare” scare promulgated by our governor last month, check out this post from Nancy Churchill ... https://www.clarkcountytoday.com/opinion/opinion-the-panic-is-political/. Thank you, Jeff (and Nancy) for continuing to pull back the curtain and exposing the Wizard of Oz ...
The sheep continue to blindly follow right over the cliff……that is all they know, read and believe…….they are politics before truth. Thank you Robert for the very informative read that I will happily share ⭐️
So we bring in a failure to run our hospital and praise the old failure for leaving?? Seriously, who in the absolute hell is making these decisions??? To our concerned citizens who truly see what is going on, we need to put our feet down, stand tall and fight back against these corrupt individuals ... To start our 3 county commissioners must go. Simply voting will not get rid of them. We have a flawed voting system with no accountability. We must recall these horrible people. They simply do not have citizens best interest in mind, only their own personal gain. The lengths they will go to to hold onto power shows no bounds. We are getting to the point of no return and when that happens I fear things will really get bad. If we truly want things to change then we must hold these corrupt commissioners accountable and punish them accordingly. Holding people accountable will change the actions of others..
Don't suggest...demand...they are not our 'gods' although they think they are!
They are sociopathic narcissists playing the role they were programmed for.
They will not and cannot deviate because they are programmed.
They are already partly trans-human.
We don't want or need 'bots' running our gov't!
Demand they vacate, immediately...the county will not stop operating without these 'agents'...in fact the real administrators will breathe a sigh of relief and we can, I suggest, 'hire' or 'appoint' appropriate people who can be FIRED, as necessary when they don't perform properly with honor, integrity, common sense, responsiveness to The People, and judicial and financial accountability and responsibility!😎
What power do we, the minority actually have? Like you noted, the voting system is flawed. We have not power to fix it. This county is liberal and there's no hiding that fact. And, the people who call themselves conservatives don't vote, they turn a blind eye, but then complain when something happens to them or to their family. Voter turnout is horrible. What is your strategy for helping us?
There are ways. I lived on a block in Berkeley, CA that had a horrible landlord renting to insane drug dealers and it affected everyone (thefts, robbery, thuggery, etc.) The landlord just wouldn't stop renting to these people (out of area landlord, didn't care, "they pay their rent".) So, three blocks of neighbors filed small-claims lawsuits,, and asked them to be "enjoined" and heard together. (What was dubbed a "common man's class action lawsuit".) Yep, everyone had to pony up the fee to file the small claims suit, and at the time the maximum coverage was $1k. But, when the court decided in the joined neighbors favor -- that amounted to a lot of money, because a lot of people filed. Together they went to the landlord, and negotiated that they SELL the building, and in the process evicted all the drug dealers. Place was cleaned up --- neighborhood improved greatly.
So, we have the power to recall the hospital's elected. We can sue the hospital itself. We can make noise and make waves, and make our voices heard.
When one adopts the victim mentality, as opposed to the victor mentality... Never forget how our Republic was forged, we didn't ask for independence, we declared it.
Well, we either succeed in waking up enough people, 'in time' or we are headed for a collapse/disaster scenario.
Limited strategy, I admit...are you willing to die or be persecuted for your rights... might be the question?
I am quite certain that the majority of firearms owners in CC are in the middle-lower income spectrum and no telling what will happen if this controlled collapse continues to play out. Just sayin'. Civil war is a possibility and then...martial law. Cheery, I know...I have a knack for survival scenarios. Unless common sense and justice prevail it's pretty predictable and it happens all over the world, all the time...so we aren't immune!😇😎
The insanity is too ubiquitous to be random...the powers that be are collapsing the old in order to 'build back better' and there's not much we can do about it...but we can try!😎
Is anyone noting the draconian water implementations going on all over the WEST?
It's coordinated to get people off the land...re-wilding...depopulating...mineral mining...it's way bigger than us, but we can only do what we can locally and hope and pray for all of humanity.😇
Forgive me for my prior comment. The book is called: Interview with the devil by Michael Harbron. My quick search brought up the wrong book in my other comment
Have you ever read the book Conversations with the devil by Jeff Rovin? It's like a back and fourth between a mortal and the devil. The devil reveals all the devious and tricky ways he seeps into his victims. I'm not religious but I do believe in the Creator and the evils of the earth are apparent. It's a good read. It reminds me of your comment 🙂
So this guy Gregson is the closer. He's Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. A corporate raider brought in to wind down companies and sell off the assets disguised as a corporate savior. Interesting.
They do tell us through movies and other fictional accounts of what they are doing.
Supposedly, under 'universal' law...'they' must expose themselves but they can do it cryptically and it's up to us to read between the lines and use our God-given discernment and common sense to understand what is happening...like a puzzle...like a sick game!😎
From what I had read online all glowing reports. Jeff excellent investigative reporting as usual. Hey everybody understand that this fellow stands in the category known as "CLOSER" in hospital history. That means he is here for 1 reason and 1 reason only. Buckle your seat belt and start looking to the south for a hospital. Remember with me at the August meeting that OMC had already hired a hard nosed attorney to handle negotiations with the hospital union. "So force the people to go on strike, Say you therefore can't continue operations and close her down boys."
Feeling so sorry not only for the public but the workers whose lives depend on those jobs. Imagine their day today after reading this article. Don’t slam the messenger, slam those who contributed to this sinking ship all the while lying & jumping ship! Losing this battle if it is lost will be devastating for this community in more ways than one!
Like that you were "accepted". Can you share with us? Would this be like Private Insurance? Medicare? Medicare + a supplement? et cetera. Reason I ask - is it because every hospital has to accept a patient? Or what am I missing? Seems like the majority of Clallam's people would head to Jefferson Healthcare which makes sense to me. But can they absorb the numbers?
New law says if the employees go on strike they can get unemployment for upto 6 weeks. What if they get wind that the hospital is winding down, then strike to get the benefits. Hmm.
The socialists who run Clallam Co would like to see OMC closed and the real estate market crash — a lowering of property prices is probably what they want to see.
Nah, the properties are in places that wouldn’t make any sense to the Port.
I used to work in the former Cherry Street clinic building (8th and Cherry in PA) and it should probably be at the top of the list of sales. It has to be worth a million or two.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around this idea you present along with other comments from other contributors about lack of development of the county and the governor's last visit and upcoming visit under the guise of Democratic fundraiser at the 7 Cedars. Maybe the die is cast and the objective is to turn the county, in due time, over to the tribe? Looking at Towne Road, fish culvert replacement, checkerboard lands into trust, tax individuals off their property, water steward fight, OMC potential closure, logging issues. HM.
Unbelievable that he was hired with that track record! Apparently no research was done. 12,500 weekly plus travel and expenses! WOW! What a salary for a hospital that has been bleeding money for years.
Wonder if there is a minimum amount to be paid to " CLOSER" before shutting down? Could it be that all the money has already been siphoned off and we will be faced with paying off debt?
After he is done, there won't be anything left..Not even a box of scotch buy macaroni and cheese or a pack of cup of noodles in the break room. Everything will be gone..even the remdesivir...
They hired a classic “turnaround/transaction” interim. Not a builder. A cleaner. The kind you bring in when the board wants hard decisions made fast. Cut burn, fix compliance and prep for a partner. The best-case is Gregson is a disciplined stabilizer who cuts waste, fixes compliance, and shores up cash while preserving core services. The worst-case is the familiar rural-hospital spiral: quiet service cuts → staff flight → quality dips → partner’s “network optimization” → the community gets few services and longer drives for care. These private-equity-style turnaround tactics have hammered rural hospitals nationwide. If OMC are wise they will be open and transparent with the community about the UW Medicine discussions.
I think the item at the top of the list is going to be selling vacant or underused OMC properties to raise cash — as I asked Darryl Wolfe at a public meeting over a year ago. Wolfe, by the way, wanted to hold onto the properties for future opportunities, i.e.., keeping a lot of cash off the books and tied up in real estate.
So if we as Clallam County residents had a choice between 2 options at this time which would be chosen? (1) Shutter the hospital ASAP. "I'm already in contact with another hospital for my medical needs. Can't trust you guys being there when I need you."
(2) Turn over the hospital to the Tribe and let them continue to run the business. Just supposin - What if the tribe put Dr. Chen in charge? Would current staff be amenable? Would you as a resident be amenable to this change if staff bought into this change first?
I like option 3. Get some established hospital like Multicare or simular to run it. Get the government out as much as possible. Make sure Markie Mark O and his compromised posse has no say in the matter.
Don’t forget if the tribe got the hospital they follow different rules when it comes to our private health care, scary.
I worked for Mason General hospital in Shelton for years. Their a thriving rural hospital that is doing well. They had bumps in the road but I give some credit to Mr Apple for getting it turned around and putting the seed for success
-The former Chief Financial Officer takes over as Chief Executive Officer, then 2023 is 18 million over budget, then 2024 is $28 million over, then in 2025 the CEO, the new CFO, and a slew of other C-suite admins abruptly retire as the hospital faces financial collapse.
-The community and staff demand they hire a known, competent, and TRUSTED individual already familiar with OMC (Allen Chen), but instead they bring in some outsider with a history of hatchet jobs.
Why did the debt skyrocket the past few years? Where did this money actually go? Are they trying to cover their tracks? Is anyone doing any forensic accounting???
Just to be unambiguously clear; Did the exiting C-suite embezzle, divert, subvert, or outright steal millions of tax payer/government money from OMC?
This chain of events is ridiculously suspect. Anyone else think so?
Huh. This looks deliberate. That property that OMC sits on is great view property. They weren't unaware of Gregson's track record. They brought him in to fast-track the sale process. Probably going to expand the Sequim Clinic. Any word on that? Or maybe a Jamestown takeover in the healthcare arena. Looks like you (we?) have some more "digging" to do. Great job, Jeff!
Hi Jeff, Thank you so much once again for bringing to light the really tough stories. This is really a scary and disheartening issue, but ignoring it will not make it go away. Appreciate you very much keeping the public up to date as you learn more. Sincerely, Claudia Nash
Jeff, I really enjoyed and appreciated your podcast this morning which provided details about Tuesday's Q & A. It's also great to know how involved CC residents want be by showing up on Tuesday. I am happy to hear this forum will continue. Thank you for your persistence, Jeff, so this could come to fruition for a community hungering for transparency.
The Nancy Churchill article is telling. Our local Democrat controlled Government gutted our health care and then pointed their fingers at the Feds. A common Democrat do as I say, not as I do practice. I hold empathy for our current Federal administration, having so much damage control to manage from three previous administrations.
Thank you for doing this research. This is exactly the background check we needed before he was hired. My only question was which hospitals did he actually turnaround? How does OMC compare?

Yep-
I parent this way!
Enough! 🙌🏻
I suggested that they all resign at July’s meeting.
It is “how” we ask them.
We tell them.
And make a written request.

They know.

Good morning Jeff.
This is rather disgusting.
I agree, some of the staff hide their secrets like a BAD parent!
I am very disenchanted with how our county is run.
Hospital, Government, Schools.
Bring this guy down before he can crumble the building.
Divulge this info, all of it 💥🇺🇸
Shine that light so bright Jeff that the cockroaches will scatter about in discord and confusion.
They already are!!
Disgusting “fallen” people.
( I pray for them )
Let’s face it…
We really don’t need a hospital if the “MO” is death, destruction and Lies.
No thanks-
I would find a great Vet, or run to my Chiropractor before going to OMC.
Did you know that Chiropractors receive and require “additional hours” of schooling than an MD?
They do.
This is the “why” in taking your HEALTH into your own hands.
You know your body.
Some doctors are NOT our friends.
This Guy-The Grim Reaper… he will surely see us through failure!!💥👎🏼
Great heated article- should flare up some fancies.
PS.
Jeff, it was a pleasure shaking your hand and thanking you.
A glimmer you are.
And to the rest of the folk that attended the meeting..
I loved seeing them squirm… just saying’.
Thanks to all that shared from podium and On-line.

GREAT exposé, Jeff. So sad that corruption and incompetence results in such losses for the community.
So this guy Gregson is the closer. He's Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. A corporate raider brought in to wind down companies and sell off the assets disguised as a corporate savior. Interesting.
I thought the same thing. These corporate raiders were the bad guys in movies from the 80s and 90s. Now their the saviors of rural America?
Larry the Liquidator Other Peoples Money!

From what I had read online all glowing reports. Jeff excellent investigative reporting as usual. I just switched to Jefferson Health Care, where my pulmonary doctor just left OMC for. The good doctors are fleeing OMC.
I'm on medicare with Mutual of Omaha supplements. My pulmonary doctor's office called to set me up so I hope I can also find a GP there.
many thanks. Hope you find a GP there
Thanks Geoff! I'll let you know. My OMC primary care physician picks his teeth all the time. 🤣
New law says if the employees go on strike they can get unemployment for upto 6 weeks. What if they get wind that the hospital is winding down, then strike to get the benefits. Hmm.
Working the program (system)!!!
Very Clever, the dark ones!😎
Your last sentence is pretty much what transpired at the mill almost one year ago. (October, I think)
Surprise they hire a failure? Why surprised? Look at our Kommisioners.
Failures of a feather fail together.
You may have nailed it! Incompetents hire other incompetents so that they don't look so bad by comparison.
Maybe what we decry as a failure they view as bringing it closer to their objective, and for them VICTORY. And what is their objective?
The socialists who run Clallam Co would like to see OMC closed and the real estate market crash — a lowering of property prices is probably what they want to see.
I mean, they'd probably turn vacant properties over to the Port who would barely pay taxes on it
Nah, the properties are in places that wouldn’t make any sense to the Port.
I used to work in the former Cherry Street clinic building (8th and Cherry in PA) and it should probably be at the top of the list of sales. It has to be worth a million or two.

3 Crabs, John Wayne Marina, Dungeness Wildlife refuge, Protection Island, etc. etc.
Dr. Pill... "Bernie" for 300 Alex.
Willing seller willing buyer..
Revert all to the Tribe
The tribe is being controlled by NWO.
Don't be deceived any further...it's not about 'the tribe' of a few hundred persons...is it?
The tribe is proxy control for NWO, Agenda 21+++,etc.!😎
We shall see.
They need a few American gamblers to feed their cogs and wheels.
Nothing like financing your own downfall, eh?
I know one guy spends half his $11,000 pension at Blyn every month...poor guy only has about $5500 to live on!
Stupid is as stupid does!🤓
"Kommisioners". LOL
KOMMISSARS is the correct spelling!😊
😎
Unbelievable that he was hired with that track record! Apparently no research was done. 12,500 weekly plus travel and expenses! WOW! What a salary for a hospital that has been bleeding money for years.
Wonder if there is a minimum amount to be paid to " CLOSER" before shutting down? Could it be that all the money has already been siphoned off and we will be faced with paying off debt?
Willing Hospital seller...Gregson....Willing Hospital buyer..Tribe...
There may be an exit clause in the contract for early contract closure, don’t know? Perhaps it can be obtained through a FOIA request?
After he is done, there won't be anything left..Not even a box of scotch buy macaroni and cheese or a pack of cup of noodles in the break room. Everything will be gone..even the remdesivir...
Research well carried out for 'the plan'...this guy is no accident or incompetence...he's very intentional and very competent!🤪
Waking up is hard to do!😊
They hired a classic “turnaround/transaction” interim. Wolfe, by the way, wanted to hold onto the properties for future opportunities, i.e.., keeping a lot of cash off the books and tied up in real estate.
They are certainly cutting off the West End...you know...Frenchies' territory!
And there are already staff flights, quality dips, outside contracting for doctors, etc.
Best wishes, CC😊
So. Hire a guy to burn it to the ground. Then find a way (with our money of course) to transfer the buisness and property over to the tribe?
So if we as Clallam County residents had a choice between 2 options at this time which would be chosen? (1) Shutter the hospital ASAP. "I'm already in contact with another hospital for my medical needs. Can't trust you guys being there when I need you."
(2) Turn over the hospital to the Tribe and let them continue to run the business. Just supposin - What if the tribe put Dr. Chen in charge? Would current staff be amenable? Would you as a resident be amenable to this change if staff bought into this change first?
What are you thinking? Having a sovereign in control of our hospital? Absolutely not!
We already have a private/public hospital...doctors are private contractors, system FULL of fraud and overbilling...who got all that graft and grift?
We haven't had a community hospital for some time!🤪
I like option 3. Get some established hospital like Multicare or simular to run it. Get the government out as much as possible. Make sure Markie Mark O and his compromised posse has no say in the matter.
NO TRIBE
Don’t forget if the tribe got the hospital they follow different rules when it comes to our private health care, scary.
I worked for Mason General hospital in Shelton for years. Their a thriving rural hospital that is doing well. They had bumps in the road but I give some credit to Mr Apple for getting it turned around and putting the seed for success
There never going to keep our bud light cold...
Bud-no-weiser!😱
Or some other entity!😊
Remember they already weaponized the medical system during c19 pandemic.😷
Thank you Jeff, great investigation, keep it up!!
So, there are a few items that jump out.
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark
And truth, and justice, and accountability, and honesty and liberty!😎
