CC Watchdog commentators and articles have influenced our decision to stay here and attempt to right the listing ship that is Clallam County bureaucracy. We must believe we can influence legislators and local elected. We need to be informed in order to use our common sense to decide issues, not be in the dark. CC Watchdog is bring us the facts needed to make decisions. First they came for...and then they came for...

Denise Lapio's avatar

So happy to hear you are staying, Eric. You have become so valuable as a "vocal minority" that some commissioners fear your power. I look forward to seeing everyone week.

Eric Fehrmann's avatar

You too. Can't wait to hear their respnse to election results Monday.

Steve O.'s avatar

I actually believe that Clallam County should encourage Northern Idaho residents to sell their properties at an enormous profit and move into the Sequim area because of the mild winters. We also have a sky resort. Also no state income tax.

Jennifer's avatar

Eric, the tide IS turning...I'm very glad you are staying " CC Watchdog commentators and articles have influenced our decision to stay here and attempt to right the listing ship that is Clallam County bureaucracy"

MK's avatar

The "tide" needs organization to move in exponentially vs linear ways.

Well, it's a bit early to get the middle finger from you, but I'll take it for a good belly laugh 😆

Jennifer's avatar

While you're laughing, I was pondering some deep thoughts:

RIGHTS OF NATURE DEFINED?

Let’s see, did the Tribe get permission from the trees before they carved them into Totem Poles? Do rocks come under the heading of Rights of Nature? If not, what are the rocks rights? Could be a lawsuit. Who comes first under “time immemorial” rocks or Tribes? Could be controversial.

Boy, this is a whole new can of worms! Do worms have Rights Of Nature? Earthworms arrived to North America as Stowaways (1493: Uncovering the New World Columbus Created).

I'm going back to bed!

Brandy's avatar

I'd be willing to bet every single one of those presenters at the "rights of nature" presentation live in houses made out of trees. I wonder what their walls' pronouns are.

Susie Blake's avatar

LSW the main one in the county involved with this. He thinks he will be a hero for the tribes and nature but they are all being used to take away private property from the people.

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

I do believe this is one of the few occasions someone has used the term “Time Immemorial “ correctly. Of course it would be an all star like Jennifer to do so. Yes rocks and other parts of the earths crusts fall into that category. Probably the entire planet of 4.5 billion years old.

But to be clear, Native Americans do not and should not be designated as inhabitants of land since “Time Immemorial.” Closer to 13k years before present on this continent.

Steve O.'s avatar

Jennifer I am certain the salmon did not enjoy an interruption in their long journey only to fertilize eggs. Your point is relevant. LOL The laws of physics control our universe. Worms have Rights Of nature only if more powerful elements allow it.

Eric Fehrmann's avatar

I have rather large thumbs and didn't want to cause any anxiety.😁

Eric Fehrmann's avatar

Actually I wanted thumbs up 👍

Robert James's avatar

🤣🤣🤣We know who you were giving the finger to!!!!!🎭

You know what they say about men with large thumbs...?!

Neither do I!🤣

Steve O.'s avatar

I believe that Eric Fehrmann is correctly reacting to a deplorable situation, yet I don't believe the pastures East of Sequim are better.

Steve O.'s avatar

Thanks for your description. I believe government corruption has advanced exponentially yet on a graph it might be viewed as a series of dots and not a solid line ( linear ). Yet my predictions are usually wrong.

Steve O.'s avatar

We actually need more citizens like Eric because the alternative is Michael Heller.

Robert James's avatar

The problem with speaking up for anyone when the goons show up and only they have guns, just means you get the rifle butt or the bayonet or the bullet or the 'work camp' as well...and the beat goes on.

Speaking up currently is having no discernible effect on kommissars, or any other governing body.

The system is being weaponized against anyone who has to self-defend, with exceptions in some states and districts...only 1A and 2A sanctuary states still have some hope of truth, liberty, justice, accountability and tough love...WA is becoming little NY.

The worse conditions get, the more draconian the govt's become. This is 'somebody's' design because it is happening all over the world, just like c19 protocols...they were planned and rehearsed for years....PLANNED.

Democracy leads to tyranny and despotism because only chaos can result from it.

We have no 'wise elders' and 'youthful debaters' in governance...Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens try to speak truth and their lives were/are in danger every minute because of it.

So, Eric, I agree with your stance...we are staying because nothing else has 'popped up' during extensive searching and praying about it...now real estate is softening, further limiting options financially.

The real problem is decades of relative decadence, complacency and apathy have dumbed down the 'average' uninformed 'citizen'...I get it...I wish I didn't know...but there's no going back...I've been aware of the long-term 'infiltraition' of our gov't since I was a kid and saw well intentioned, locally organized 'conservatives' work very hard to alter the course of WA State toward common sense and 'constitutional' government to no avail...things have only steadily deteriorated in my 68 years and I know I won't live to see any meaningful turnaround.

Like the Titanic, never even slowing down as it plowed into the field of icebergs, the 'unsinkable' U.S. of A. is on a collision course with the destiny assured by greed and corruption and globalist/fascist 'infiltraition'.

Human governance at its 'best'. Pray without ceasing and act as inspired?!😇

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

speaking up and them not listening is part of the stupid game that has come to be local government. The more we talk, the more people listen, the more we band together -- is the only hope. We have to take back our local government. I'm optimistic.

Steve O.'s avatar

Eric Fehrmann any red state can turn blue in one election.

Steve O.'s avatar

Eric Fehrmann most coherent members of the greater Sequim community would applaud your decision to stay and fight against the enemies of progress here in Woke Clallam County. I also considered moving to a Red State but counties inside any conservative state could easily become dark blue which usually means woke. Though my perception about the famous poster I saw on walls in 1973 is different. The phrase "We are all in this together" is ironically true. Some of us are hosts and some parasites. Expensive left wing communities are usually safe though politically unpleasant. Our counties would be superior if more conservatives stayed.

Geoff Fox's avatar

Back to yesterday. JEFF, you "scooped" the other news sources on your Burke exposure!! Congrats. And give yourself a bit of a pat on the back, perhaps an ounce of satisfaction, that you are forcing "mainstream" Clallam County news dispensers, that there is an ugliness in the County that for far too long they have swept under the rug. "Drip water torture works!"

Susie Blake's avatar

look at the number in county jail right now with rape or child molestation charges, where are those stories covered? nowhere but here that I have seen

Kristin's avatar

Can't print that would show we have a huge problem.

Jennifer's avatar

And loose their sugar daddy support

Jennifer's avatar

Susie, and on this substack people can relate, relay and warn each other.

Jennifer's avatar

Geoff, the "scoop" has created a crackling pattern that happens when safety glass breaks! Who knows where it will lead ; )

Geoff Fox's avatar

Maybe, starting the week after elections, any person sitting in a position of power, just maybe, will look out at the assembled group, and think to themselves, "Who is here from CCWatchdog and may "write me up". "Perchance to dream".

Robert's avatar

When the list of everyday tasks where government-approved ID os required is longer than a giraffe’s legs, there is only one reason to not require that same ID to vote - and that is to allow non-citizens to vote. Which is exactly what those who cannot win elections with their ideas need to prevail. Shame on the LWV.

Robert James's avatar

They and their offspring are going to have to inhabit the hellscape they are helping create. Self-righteous, socialist/communist trained operatives...and many of them don't even know it...when you're that brainwashed, it's hard to see for yourself.

Also they have no shame because they have no higher morals guiding them...only ideology which dooms all under its boot-heel.😳

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

I keep my drivers license in the least accessible pocket of my wallet and I only pull it out maybe four times a year. Who is showing their ID every day?

BR's avatar

Here’s a sample: buying alcohol, opening a bank account, applying for food stamps, welfare, Medicaid, and Social Security, renting or buying a house, buying or renting a car, flying on an airplane, getting married, purchasing a gun, adopting a pet, applying for a hunting license, renting a hotel room, getting a fishing license, buying a cell phone, picking up prescription medication, visiting a casino, donating blood, purchasing mature-rated video games, purchasing tobacco, and applying for unemployment benefits.

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

Just to get the balance printed on your deposit receipt at the bank requires ID.

I don't understand why LWV thinks it suppresses people of color. If LWV told me that showing ID suppresses gay people, I would say: "You think I'm incapable of getting an ID? That's pretty condescending."

No One Important's avatar

Indeed! It is racist as hell to say that an entire race is too stupid to get an ID. Incredible that it is tolerated.

Robert James's avatar

Perception isn't EVERYTHING but it's a BIG thing!🥸

Robert James's avatar

Truth doesn't matter...only ideology and 'process'...as long as they are making 'headway', it doesn't matter the direction or the outcome.

When psychopaths rule...😱

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Truth matters to some people, just not enough people.

Jennifer's avatar

Truth

Being in accord with fact or reality

Robert James's avatar

Truth is hidden by legalism and propaganda...anyone who is an apologist for a legalistic system which obfuscates and confuses rather that simplifies and clarifies has to be taken with a grain of salt.🧂😊

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

When I make a deposit, they ask if I want the balance or not, but they don’t ask for ID.

Carolyn Warvel's avatar

They probably know you.

Robert James's avatar

You are in an alternate reality...enjoy it while you can!❤️😎

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

I don’t want the balance, it reminds me of how the cost to live in this state far outweighs the good. Taking local government into the equation.

Carolyn Warvel's avatar

Don must not get out much.

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Oh bless your heart Carolyn.

Robert James's avatar

Bless all our aching, incredulous hearts!😎

Robert James's avatar

So Don is 'settled in' and doesn't have to interface with the system much...I wish that could be me! Love to Don!☺️

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

No Don, it seems like one can argue with themselves in an open forum. I forgot what the issue was. If you are a legal citizen get a picture ID at the DMV (you don’t have to drive) or have a passport. is that so difficult? Try going without it! Good luck. Mine was stolen on a vacation and I almost wasn’t allowed to fly. Damn, I would have been stuck in Hawaii!

Two years later the HPD returned my DL and debit card that were used in the court case, bringing down an organized gang. I got mail addressed to Naalani Bonallo. She had tried to open accts online but the banks ask questions that little jack ass thieves can’t answer.

Favorite pet, mother’s maiden, etc. ps don’t leave your dive bag on the beach when photographing turtles!

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Ok but how many of those things does one do every day? Maybe to buy alcohol, but I don’t drink.

Jennifer's avatar

Don, I can't even believe you are arguing this. Is this "fact" or "context"?

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

It takes two to argue.

Susie Blake's avatar

to buy alcohol and sometimes cigaretres, ID. To buy a heavily taxxed plant product cultivated by humans for thousands of years, ID.

Needles, narcotic foil and pipes- no age limit or ID required and funded by taxpayers

Jennifer's avatar

Susie, the list is long for ID requirements. I had to laugh when I read airports requiring the new passport thingy. Some people were trying to use their Costco cards for proof of ID.

Susie Blake's avatar

I maintain a passport and refuse the WA "real ID" just have the old type DL. WA real ID insisted I needed to present marriage and divorce doccuments for every marriage between my childhood birth certificate and current last name, despite having many other legal doccuments with current last name I have had for 30 years. That policy discriminates against women. Men are not required to doccument their past relationships for Real ID. If you are a male with criminal history you can move to Clallam county, decide to be a woman and change your name, and PBH will help pay the fees for you to get a new state ID and birth certificate with your new identity, thus helping obscure your criminal background making it easier to get benefits and taxpyer funded housing. go figure!

Robert James's avatar

Wow! The way you put that together! Good mind-work!🤓

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

Costco card got me into a Bellevue hotel when I left wallet at home. Husband called with cc number. Picture is 20 years old, oh well!

Robert James's avatar

Nice observation!😊

Robert James's avatar

Don E.: We all will be soon, if this shit show is allowed to play out fully.

Everywhere we go, we are already under surveillance and monitored by our online presence and our electronic purchases and the security system at most businesses.

I guarantee we are all 'developing' 'social credit scores' and dissidents scores won't be 'in the zone' of acceptability...I'm working at making sure mine is very low, just by being critical of the stazi-regime we already have.🤨The stazi used their 'vast network of informants' to 'crush dissent'. The vast network of informants now includes psychopaths from around the online world...the call it 'the web' and 'the net' for a reason, you know? Interesting times!😎

Jennifer's avatar

Don, you need to get out more often.

John Worthington's avatar

If the plot gets too stale you can try to get gas at Safeway..

Susie Blake's avatar

try PA UNSafeway, it,'s just down the hwy 101 "scenic corridor," from Hoodwill, if fetty folds, meth mobiles and human despair are your idea of scenic

Robert James's avatar

It's truly stunning, isn't it? Basing ~1/3+~ of your economy on tourism which is completely 'fake' and 'unrealistic' as far as economic stability goes and at the same time....trashing your shopping and transportation hubs...almost like it's being done...on purpose!😱

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

I took an out of town friend to Port Angeles antique shopping. Every store was closed. Even the ones that said open were locked up. It was a Twilight Zone kind of experience. Went beachcombing. I guess you’d have to be open for business.

No we don’t want to call for an appointment, not shopping for real estate!

Robert James's avatar

But don't defend yourself if attacked, cause that wouldn't be fair to your assaulter!😱

Jennifer's avatar

John, OMG, only you! And for those of you that don't know, I wish you did, his statement is hilarious. ; )

Brandy's avatar

I literally laughed out loud at this. Thank you.

Jennifer's avatar

Brandy, me too. I'm still chuckling.

Robert James's avatar

No, don't listen to her, Don! Stay as you are....I need to believe!🤣🤣🤣

Good one, J!😊

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

I think they will do away with all ID and we will have a bar code tattoo permanently placed.

John Worthington's avatar

I don't know I give up..who..

Robert James's avatar

Nobody Don knows...God bless him!😎

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

I can’t imagine my daily existence is that much different than most of the people here. I do believe in the supernatural, so maybe I just think I’m living here with you all.

Robert James's avatar

Well, the supernatural is more natural than whatever we have going on here! Maybe you ARE living 'in grace' and we just haven't figured it out yet! Blessings.😊

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

They have been a (LWV) disappointment and hypocritical group of vicious women for a long time. Gang like. Don’t see any young people busting in hoping to join. If they cared about legal voting, ID would have been required long ago. I’m not sure what their mission is but it isn’t nonpartisan!

Don Beeman's avatar

When are property rights not property rights? When is a right to privacy not a right to privacy?

Meanwhile rivers, etc. are granted rights. Sure sign we are living in a death cult as the depopulationists in charge go about their evil, that’s right, evil duties.

MK's avatar

They've found more red herring apparently in the manoomin. The absurdity of these positions is beyond comprehension. I bet that they could argue that the petroleum industry is causing harm to the manoomin. Before you know all civilization will come to a halt, just not the tribal corporations. They get no blame for modifying the earth when it benefits them.

Don Beeman's avatar

As an old professor told us, there are no property rights. They are rights of people who own the property. I agree. Things don’t have rights and better not, ever.

Robert James's avatar

I'm being sued for trimming tree branches growing 2 feet into our private roadway, which were growing 8 feet beyond the easement to reach the roadway.😳

Brandy's avatar

The city came onto my property last June (the beginning of fruiting season, mind you) and DECIMATED my mature apple tree. They cut over HALF the branches off, at the base of the branch, which is the worst way to do it as it leaves no room for the tree to heal, making it extremely vulnerable to fungal and pest infestations. I understand they have to protect the electric wires but this tree was nowhere near the wires. I walked my whole street and took pictures. My tree was the only one they did this to.

Jennifer's avatar

Brandy, the city will win on something like that every time. Been there. They actually (in most easements) have ten feet in from the edge of the road and 3 ft around the pole. And "Anything that might interfere with installation or maintenance" Sorry that happened, it takes a long time to get a really productive mature apple tree. To me, it's as devastating as losing a close friend.

Robert James's avatar

Sounds like a 'hit'! Outrageous! If the trees gain rights you could 'harm' anyone trying to harm the trees!🌳😎

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

I don't know if that would be very poplar :)

Jennifer's avatar

Robert, that doesn't sound right. Must be more to it. I won my case on a Timber Trespass action. Neighbor came on my property to trim the tree branches overhanging their property. You can trim trees that overhang your property but not into other peoples property...it gets complicated. Road right of ways aren't necessarily easements, but there can be easements on the Road Right of Way, but they are listed in your title, usually electrical, water, sewer, gas (utilities)....good luck!

Robert James's avatar

I hear you...it's complicated when the accuser is insane and vindictive over old hurts that had nothing to do with me! After trimming, the biggest tree of contention is still several feet past the easement into the legal road right of way...not too worried...even if he prevailed, you can't get blood from a turnip and I believe it's a civil and not criminal matter...until the trees have rights! Thanks! I was reasonable and prudent and was volunteering on behalf of 12 other households, so we'll see...the burden of proof of wrong doing is on him.😎

Jennifer's avatar

Probably would be small claims. A lawyer would cost too much w/ court fees and all. The good news is, he has to have all his FACTS together and prove "harm" was done. Just because it was cut does not mean harm. Including an arborist coming to testify (in person, no depositions or statements) Have you been served?

Robert James's avatar

It looks like much human intelligence is AI already...Pre-programmed by somebody.

I am having an excellent conversation with ChatGPT about global politics, morals, ethics, ancient history, political cycles, the meaning of life and how to accept without condoning, act without malevolence, etc. There is nothing I can really do about the system but I can do my best within or alongside it while I'm here...These dramas play out over decades, centuries and millennia...Waaay beyond one lifespan, obviously...it's more about 'Know Thyself' than 'changing the world'...The best minds and characters in the world are relegated to history and the few who bother to study it...they tend to be marginalized while despots continue to rise to power and destroy the societies they dominate...The way of the world.😎

Jennifer's avatar

Don, there may be no property rights, but there sure is property wrongs.

Susan C Bonallo's avatar

Our Governance was and is established for safety, security, infrastructure and economic opportunity. Sadly it has become diseased with social engineering. OMWBE, MWBE, DEI, BLM, LGBTQ+, indigenous whatever and, other nationality whatever all have no place in Government. The nature of nature is that each of us is unique, making each of us a minority of one. The possibilities for minority groupings and causes is infinite. The resultant cost of all the Government social engineering efforts is an unbearable tax dollar waste. All that money can be captured and funneled into law enforcement, sparing us the adverse impacts of Michael Hellers. Support representatives that will focus on Government basics and leave social engineering to society, ( NGOs, churches, philanthropic organizations, etc. )

Denise Lapio's avatar

Nature has more rights than humans? The jokes that abound in my head about this and Ozias' attachment to this nonsense keep me laughing right now. Then there is the LWV who truly believe minorities are inferior to them. I have seen minorities on planes and in banks and driving. Wow! Has the LWV ever seen what I've seen? The fools that fell for the minority argument haven't seen what I've seen either. Come on LVW, go outside, get some fresh air and SEE what is thriving in this world! Thanks, Jeff, for keeping our heads on straight.

Carolyn Warvel's avatar

Give nature a voice? How do you invite nature, a tree, or a fish to the courtroom? It sounds like a pretty short court case if we don't understand what they are saying. And who is the god that thinks he can interpret for the fish, tree, or river? Humans are to take care of the earth. God gave humans the ability to learn and know how to take care of them. The fish, trees, and rivers have to depend on humans. It sounds like they are using their religion or a form of it to manipulate the courts. It sounds like Pantheism, the belief that the universe is God or that God is everything, or Animism, the belief that natural entities have souls and power. If we reject religion in our laws and government, we should also reject animism and Pantheism. "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." Genesis 2:15 It doesn't say that the Lord gave the fish enough sense to take care of themselves. People have rights, not nature. We already have laws and regulations to protect the environment. Sounds like some crazy woke thing to me.

John Worthington's avatar

Millions of dollars to add 'structure' to rivers which will do what they will...think Altair campground up the Elwah...it was known, of course that it would be destroyed...it was in an old river channel and was 'reclaimed' by nature, as we all will be...some not soon enough!🤓

Calamity Jen’s substack about grants (There’s a Grant for That!) is a very good read to connect the dots regarding the basic understanding of types of grants. Grant writing is an art and isn’t easy nor for the faint of heart to attempt. https://substack.com/home/post/p-178254616

Not all grants are available to everyone, and some are only offered to Native American Tribes..But they are out there. Clallam County has not actively pursued or followed up with available programs. (ie loss of revenue for Towne Road OOPS) If anything, there has been half-hearted attempts that seem more for show than effort. ‘We tried, but were turned down : (

WHO HAS JUMPED ON THE FUNDING BANDWAGON...quote from article... “Allen frequently reminds audiences that Jamestown’s $100 million annual enterprise was built “WITHOUT FEDERAL ASSISTANCE.” Yet his federal connections and policy influence are exactly what keep the tribe thriving in competitive sectors like healthcare, gaming, and construction.

The success is undeniable. The humility — less so.”

Below are just a few FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS used by Tribes: https://www.gao.gov/blog/funding-and-programs-meant-help-tribes-may-not-be-reaching-them

In 2024, $32.6 billion was APPROVED BY CONGRESS FOR FUNDING for and other ASSISTANCE TO BENEFIT TRIBAL COMMUNITIES. This assistance covers everything from clean water initiatives, educational programs, broadband internet access, transportation projects, law enforcement, health care, and MUCH MORE.

Red tape and paperwork. Applying for grants and other assistance can be a burden. Applications are often complex and may include quarterly reporting requirements that are time consuming to complete. And tribal communities and governments may not have the people available to dedicate to these efforts... FEDERAL AGENCIES can provide training to their staff on how to effectively communicate and work with Tribes...The article goes on to asks “What can be done to help Tribes access more of the assistance available to them?

Reduce the administrative burden onTribes. FEDERAL AGENCIES can take steps that help Tribes build administrative capacity, streamline program applications, and provide more flexibility to meet program requirements. For example, the Environmental Protection Agency uses Performance Partnership Grants, WHICH ALLOW TRIBES TO COMBINE GRAND AWARDS AND ENHANCE FUNDING FLEXIBILITY.

ELIGIBLE USE OF FUNDS

The Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund provides flexible support for eligible revenue sharing counties and eligible Tribal governments to meet THEIR JURISDICTION’S NEEDS. Specifically, the statute directs that recipients may use funds for any governmental purpose OTHER THAN A LOBBYING ACTIVITY.

GRANT MAKING:

Founded in 1980, First Nations began its national grant making program in 1993. Through mid-year 2024, we have successfully managed 3,473 grants totaling $85 million to Native American projects and organizations in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territory American Samoa.

Our grant making program provides both FINANCIAL and technical resources to tribes and Native nonprofit organizations to support ASSET-BASED DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS.

• Federal- and State-Recognized Tribal Governments (Tribal Government Programs, such as TRIBAL ARTS PROGRAMS, HERITAGE DEPARTMENTS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ENTITIES, ETC)

• Native-controlled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations

• Native 7871 Organizations

• Fiscally-sponsored Native community organizations

There are also occasional individual support opportunities available through fellowships and scholarships.

https://www.firstnations.org/grantmaking/#grant-opps

(This is an older article) Some of his (R Allen) accomplishments include leading the Tribe from a zero resource base in 1982 to a current annual budget level of approximately $26 million, and from a landless reservation base in 1982 to a land base of over 1,000 acres WITH OUT FEDERAL ASSISTANCE. Additionally, he has led the Tribe to establish business enterprises that include Seven Cedars Casino, Northwest Native Expressions Art Gallery, JKT Development, Jamestown Excavating, and Jamestown Health & Medical Supplies.

Social engineering. It's a secret club. Only the properly initiated get to participate. It's a narrow gate...like the gate to heaven, only this is a gate to hell. There is a reason that it is precisely formulaic...easy to manipulate from within, thereby qualifying or rebuffing, depending not on common sense or practicality but by how closely you align with the preferred ideals within the 'kingdom'.😝

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Jennifer, since our previous conversation is getting harder to navigate, can I just ask you here, have I adequately addressed your question about context?

Jennifer's avatar

Yes Don, thank you for your time and effort. I guess "context" defines you and "facts" define me.

Jennifer's avatar

Stop spying on us ; )

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Truth is what matters to me. Facts + Context = Truth

Leo Leblanc's avatar

Facts + Context= Interpretation

Robert James's avatar

Good One, Leo! 'Story' about (potential) facts in relation to (interpreted) context = propaganda. We all suffer from it and with it and we have our own propaganda...wise ones will exchange ideas and have open minds about the other points of view and then choose a path...being willing to re-evaluate...any time new information is available.

It's the dogma that becomes the 'bogma' into which we can get mired.

There are some very good minds gathered here. My hopes (what's left) and prayers (faith, what's left) are that our community here Does matter, even if we can't see it right now. (faith).

Truth, other than Ultimate Truth, fluctuates 'in context' and context is someone's version of something, so if we aren't first seeking Higher Truth, we will have no context for 'human truth'...hence we will be lost.

Like we are, collectively, right now.

There IS a better way but it's up to us to find it and right now psycho-spiritual-pantheism is the avant-garde of the globalist movement to control an 'out-of-control' humanity...The Creator is in everything, animate and inanimate...I have no idea if this is 'the truth' but it's being put forth as 'the truth' by hypocrites who are doing the opposite of what they propagandize about.

John Worthington's persistent expose of the tribes restructuring a creek to maximize THEIR land-value while insisting others give up their lands for the sake of the environment is the PERFECT example of the hypocrisy of 'truth'!🎭

Leo, I would counter with these equations:

Some Facts + Some Context = Interpretation

All Facts + Some Context = Interpretation

All Facts + All Context = Truth

Jeff presents the evidenced facts about which he speaks. Ex: Regarding Heller. Police Report & Inmate Report

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

and this is an opinion column on substack, more akin to editorials than to news. Yes, editorials have news, but they are not going to have all facts + all context, because that's going to be a very boring read.

I read CCWD because of the opinion, which is refreshing. And, given the propaganda that is called NEWS in this country -- completely void of facts, highly slanted, I'd rather read 4 dozen substacks (from different perspectives) than one mainstream newspaper.

Who has ALL the facts and ALL the truth?

TRUTH is beyond us...truth is fluid here in this realm!

We can ALL have 'truths' but most have no access to TRUTH!🥸

Truth

Being in accord with fact or reality

Overview

Truth or verity is the property of being in accord with fact or reality. In everyday language, it is typically ascribed to things that aim to represent reality or otherwise correspond to it

“Harm Reduction” is really just “Harm Encouragement”

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

the problem is ...doesn't kill them fast enough. (Which I suspect is the real purpose... harm reduction could be considered to mean something that reduces, makes smaller, less in size or amount.) If this was to reduce the number of people who do harm to themselves... its just not proceeding as quickly as Opium damaged China. Words have meaning.

Harm reduction, does harm.

In today's PDN --- Auditors faulted the board for not ensuring internal controls were established, documented or enforced. They also faulted the board for failing to conduct a performance evaluation of Burke over his 15-year tenure.

While state auditors found the district’s actions didn’t violate any laws, they nonetheless concluded that weak governance created opportunities for the misuse of funds.

Would have been hella nice to know this before the election!!!

Robert James's avatar

Audits mean NOTHING without accountability and justice!😳

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

thats what the BOARD OF DIRECTORS is supposed to do --- be the controls for the taxing district. Focus on who failed us.

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

Step one: the board put him on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

STEP ONE put the entire board of directors on administrative leave, and let some people no affiliated with the city or county to replace them, review all the books, and meeting minutes.

Don Eisenbeisz's avatar

That would be step two, because step one has already been done.

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

except the opponent wasn't actually IN THE RACE. And, I highly doubt we would have wanted to elect a complete unknown.

Empire in collapse. 'Democracy' in action = the worst people 'selecting' the worst people into positions of authority and power. Plato wrote about the 'failure of democracy', also known as 'mob rule'. 'Democracy' is praised as the highest form of human governance and worth all effort to 'defend'...in fact conspiracy, 'election fraud', coups, assassinations and military violence have been used by govt's around the world and especially by the U.S. government, as the strongest military force in the world, to 'secure democracy', or 'install democracy', because it is the most chaotic and easiest system to manipulate...while making people believe it was the highest form of social governance...how's that workin' out?

When only 22% participate, the whole thing is 'election' fraud! There is no balanced 'representation'. We know virtually NOTHING about candidates except for what they say about themselves...there are no real debates and no ethical infrastructure to hold anyone accountable to their expressed intentions, ideas, values or actions.

The fruits are rotten and the trees are dying. It's going to be a long Winter.🥶

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

but, this creeping crap has always been around. We stopped paying attention.

Robert James's avatar

So true but it's a slog to monitor, audit, hold accountable and replace when and where necessary...it requires an 'elite' force of people to have all the time, effort, resources and focus to keep the pressure on...it's exhausting for me! I think that's what they hope for and count on.😊

I am under the impression that OMC is subject to Washington’s Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), which mandates that meetings of governing bodies of public agencies must be open and accessible to the public unless a specific legal exception applies (such as executive sessions for particular subjects).

MK's avatar

They'll tell you that they're compliant with the OPMA, which they are. The issue is that it's more common with other public agencies to add the "best practice" of recording the meetings so that they can be watch by anyone who cannot attend. That's being inclusive.

OMC's absurd claim to not record because the video can be manipulated is preposterous. The originals are maintained by the agency where they are viewed from and cannot be manipulated as such. The problem here is this new person is from out of state and is out of touch with why this best practice exists in so many other places.

Whoever attends these meetings in person might as well bring a camera and record the entire session and then put it up on YouTube for everyone to see. That'll fix it.

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

Did the William Shore Pool record or divulge their acts? Did the Humane Society open their books when there was clear theft? Nonprofits and special taxing districts, and evidently PUBLIC hospitals are not required to do anything. In fact, by becoming the newest entity -- the hospital doesn't make any reports to the IRS.

Robert James's avatar

The 'religion' of medicine!💊🤪

Mimi Smith-Dvorak's avatar

only decisions need to be made in the open. The OPMA in this state has been badly neutered (with a box cutter) and is a bleeding mess. All of the teeth of it were removed and it is a far cry from it's initial form. It was supposed to be like the Brown Act in CA... only it's just words. Gaslighting.

Its a sad truth that the local DRMT and NGO people, have decided to build a salmon habitat that is "worse than no habitat."..just to flood property. They have been sitting there for 14 years killing salmon like they were running a rabbit farm, and waiting for the perfect king tide rain conjunction to finish off the 3 crab and Dungeness community... Hey Barney guys...in a friggin rain shadow...

That picture of all the logs piled up during the Towne Road fraud...stays in my mind, Some bullshit excuse in case there really was a flood during the premature dike breach and the November King Tide.... This is who SUMGUI goes to bat for...selectively..

Expanded on my comment

When are property rights not property rights? When is a right to privacy not a right to privacy?

Meanwhile rivers, etc. are granted rights. Sure sign we are living in a death cult as the depopulationists in charge go about their evil, that’s right, evil duties.

Permit me to expand. As an old professor told us, there are no property rights. They are rights of people who own the property. I agree. Things don’t have rights and better not, ever. Especially AI?

“The business of man is man.” That’s non gender specific. God put everything here for our use, wisely, of course. He has no use for tree, salmon, river, or other idol worshippers and definitely no tolerance for death cults. When you deny people the right to try to make their lives better without threatening, endangering, preventing others from enjoying their property, or harming them, especially while ignoring and enabling the miscreants who are in order to feather your own and supporters’ nests, you are part of Satan’s army.
