John Worthington’s questions about Cascadia were clear. The answers he received were not.
He was told the County does not pay Cascadia. Three weeks earlier, you had approved a payment to Cascadia of more than $60,000.
He was told the County was not in a contract with Cascadia. It was.
He was told that if a contract existed, it had begun more than 14 months earlier. You signed the contract only six months before that conversation—after sitting through a 30-minute presentation with Cascadia.

Oh boy. This was especially hard to listen to today. Please everyone……support our small businesses such as Washburn services. They have an excellent reputation and I highly recommend their company. While I am at it I highly recommend another small business….Cowan concrete. Both are excellent at communication, professional, reliable and fair pricing. Why can’t recompete find actual needs of our community like another glass company as they are all weeks out. Or landscaping companies. Window washers. Cleaners. Etc. they could actually help a person launch a business in any of these areas and they would be absolutely busy from the get go. And the going rates today for all of these services certainly would be in that family wage job arena. And the person would be a business owner at the same time and eventually could grow their business to start employing others.
Sooooo, what could possibly be the incentive for French and Ozais to stear all this money to the tribe...and are they receiving any of the grant money for 'administrative' costs? Maybe not, but it sure stinks to me. Where are the investigators who are supposed to be watching for self-dealing politicians? Have the federal 'grantors' looked at this? The actions of these commissioners is either awful mismanagement or worse.
It would be interesting to know just how much money the state and county is losing with all the tribal exemptions, property, vehicles , fish tax and then add that to all the money the state and county and government see fit to delegate to them ? I’m assuming the amount would be breathtaking all to pay for something none of us are responsible for!

My adopted son is also a hydro-seeder. I know Washburn, both these young men are hard workers.
This is getting extremely unfair to our young people who are trying to survive, do you think this is really fair.
If the tribe wanted to go into hydro-seeding, they can afford to purchase their own. I don’t pay outrageous taxes to support this tribe.
