I’m still deciding on county candidates and researching others. So far, for sure, it is Seegers and Shogren for me. I left out the candidates that only have one running. Any thoughts on the rest?

Question: With six tribes in our county, please comment on what you think their contributions provide to Clallam County – in jobs, culture, healthcare, racial/gender equality, and democracy? Follow up: Please comment on the racist comments, untruths, and smears that have been circulating and growing in our community.
Kelbon Response: [The Jamestown S’kallam has done a tremendous job of business development, often better than our counties as a whole. This includes the services provided by its MAT and mental health treatment services. This may be due in part to very skilled leadership and in part due to access to funding sources not accessible by our counties at large. I also admire what the Makah tribe is doing with its nascent timber and wood products industry that it is building. Racism in any form cannot be tolerated.]
I've been reading and listening to you for years. I've also paid attention to the web posts that you cultivate. This site is yours.
It's obvious what the connection to the klan is. You don't see it, which is unlikely, or you choose not to see it. It's your responsibility to fight against it, of course, because how dare they paint you in this terrible, horrible, nasty, mean rotten false light.
Except it's not.
You're a master manipulator and your communication skills are top notch. But it only works for people that are already in your target audience. The middle is never your target audience. You want it to be. But all these klan people are dragging you down.
You attract certain audience. You want that audience. That's your core. But then you want to expand a bit. You want the middle. You can't have it.
You ask if people are willing to disavow other people. How about you disavow 30% of your core constituency. Oh that's not going to happen.
Very sad.
You are very good at getting out ahead of stuff. You have to be with all the stuff you have to get ahead of.
You think of the klan as something distinctually racial that you can simply avoid. It's not. It's an attitude. It's a get rid of the skunks attitude.
