The underlying problem with the Federal and state governments is that they are too big- massive. To be vigilent with all of these gov't offices is like trying to fill a bucket with sand one grain at a time. I am so very grateful for Jeff Tozzer and his vigilence through Substack posts, podcasts, and his dedication to public service as a CRC Commissioner. At least we can become aware of some of our gov't waste, fraud, abuse, and theft thru these sources. Deception was very evident at last night's CRC meeting with a committee's intent to take a water steward survey issue from a volunteer position to an official county gov't department. If you want things to change, stand up for yourself, say something, and stay informed. Thanks, Jeff.

Equity is simply the liberal term for racism. We all see it everyday in this state.

Equity is the result of putting in the work, dedication, and resources that creates a stake in any endeavor; the key being putting something other than unjustified resentment into the mix. Once again, out-of-context language is used to influence the ignorant and easily-led, both in government and in the private sector. Taxation without representation, with the funds being used for asserted retribution of wrong doings by people who have been dead for over a century for will not end well. Value producers fuel and power the world; 'always have, and always will. Delusional thinking by a choice few, shouting down, and attempting to silence justice is a short-lived, futile existence.

Using discrimination to abolish discrimination is the same as going to war to end war. Why does ancestry matter at all ? Preserving cultural practices is laudable, but constantly giving aboriginal descendants benefits, grants, special rights and more as payment for ancestral abuse is the antithesis of equality. Abused aboriginals and their abusers NO LONGER LIVE. What is the ultimate benefit in convincing a cultural group that they are simply unable to survive without hand outs ? This entire "native peoples" issue is based upon a false premise. My father and grandfather are both PNW natives, allowing me fewer rights than those claiming ancestral rights going back multiple generations. My daddy does not matter, while someone's else's daddy does ? We keep constantly giving to people claiming native peoples ancestry so they can practice their ancient coveted practice of operating casinos, computers, cell phones and motorized vehicles. Am I the only one seeing this as completely absurd ?

Again, it's about handouts to groups of people who will hand a portion of that money BACK TO YOU!

If I contribute $50,000 to someone's rehabilitation it ends there. It's over. Money gone is money spent... I won't get a political contribution from that person. But if I contribute thousands to a 'group', they will reward my future political efforts with donations.

Spot on. Another crisis created. Another clinic built. Another NGO funded operation. Permanent money flow-contributions to political campaigns. Next time you go into a clinic with a paper cut and are asked if you have a drug problem or behavioral issue, ask yourself who benefits from these public health inquiries pushing another "crisis" to gain more government funding to erect a clinic in your town. Keep adding more weed shops on every corner and more crisis clinics and watch Sequim sink even further. It's a racket.

Idk if anyone else has taken notice of this- but historically “pot heads” have been labeled as lazy & unmotivated. That being said, isn’t it interesting that Natures Gifts (marijuana shop) in Sequim just opened their new location in a brand new building they had constructed literally RIGHT IN FRONT of the WorkSource building off of Brackett Rd? No better way to hide a community resource than through a cloud of pot smoke if you ask me 🤷‍♀️ I can’t say if this was a deliberate move on their part or if the irony escaped them entirely- but it’s thought provoking at the very least

With multiple businesses and near $100 million in revenue, I'm surprised that any group (of any color, race, gender, etc) could be considered "under privileged" and in need of favoritism with grant funding. It doesn't feel equitable to other groups and individuals who are truly struggling.

This is MONEY LAUNDERING at its worst. Our tax money, our money, in the pockets of these groups comes right back to the politicians who 'gave' it away.

First served should be those with mental disabilities not continuously self inflicted. Wa State closed the institutions in the 1970's and just pushed them out the door. It was private people in our co.who first sought to provide a place they might receive assistance but this has been usurped by the recreational drug user advocates. How much has county taxed and contributed to the care and welfare of those who never had a choice? Where are their luxury apartments, panic call buttons with instructions in braille and demands for public respect?

I’m saddened by the ignorance or spitefulness of 2 to 5% of the readership.

There WILL be a day of reckoning coming, that I have no doubt, for the state of Washington and the tribes, however it will have to run the gambit of liberal federal judges, so it will take time.

The federal DOJ is very busy cleaning up its own houses, but is already taking notes on what states need cleaning up. They have already begun to target California, and Washington and Colorado are right behind that along with New York and Massachusetts.

So we as common sense, law abiding citizens need to continue supporting Jeff, while watching, pray ing and keeping the faith that keeps us strong and united in Truth.

I wonder if/when enough Americans will become angry enough at the corruptions in ALL government to begin rejecting "government" entirely~? It this where "we" are heading because of the clearly ever-increasing criminality & corruptions in government~? As part of my professional work and duty, I have been monitoring and tracking the criminal corruptions of our American election system increasing over the past 50 years, as if "we" were frogs in slowly increasing boiling water, and I have been monitoring the corresponding rebellious attitude of many Americans who long ago started to revolt against the corruptions in government in many ways. Yes, there are some extremely ignorant voters who do vote for their own destruction and the destruction of their fellow Americans, however that sad & pitiful disgraceful group of "useful idiots" could not possibly account for the absolutely criminal direction that ALL government agencies have been on for decades now~! I don't for a second believe that humans, especially Americans, are actually voting for this now obviously destructive & lethal direction that our local and state government is currently on~! Humans just don't intentionally vote to kill themselves or to destroy their own communities and states in which they must live. Here in Washington state our elections are CLEARLY criminally corrupted by the "mail in voting only" system, where there is NO voter ID or LEGAL American citizenship security check, no secure ballot handling system, and those who are counting the votes clearly have the ability to defraud good folks of their most important and precious right to choose the Individuals who are elected in leadership roles and the direction that they demand that their state follows~! No legitimate government anywhere in America would be raising taxes to new historic levels (especially during a recession), piling on government "red tape" to prevent good folks from making an honest living, and pushing hard to violate ALL of our freedoms and rights to continue to transition us into a "government dictatorship"~! Do the folks in Washington state know that these evil criminals in our government are right now STILL Hell bent on perverting our laws and state and federal Constitution to FORCE us to take any vaccines or drugs that they demand that all men, women, and children take~? This under the direct no-nonsense threat of a weaponized armed government that fully intends to attack non-compliant citizens to fine, jail, and imprison them until they can forcibly inject us with anything that they so "mandate"~! Of course, this vile "unelected" criminal cabal that has very intentionally corrupted our state elections and weaponized our own government against us also intends to trigger a violent bloodbath, because there would obviously be an armed rejection of any such governmental attacks against us. Those of us who know that these dangerous and deadly "drugs" that the Washington state government STILL pushes to be "mandatory" are in fact fully intended to do us great harm because we do actually follow the REAL science. So, to many of us we know that any such action of government would be the exact same as an attempted murder and we would be fully within our rights to take any and all necessary steps to protect ourselves and others within our community & state~! We in our community are only seeing the very tip of the iceberg of the criminality within our government and most have no clue what REALLY is going on behind those many "closed door meetings" that are going on behind our backs~! Let us come together now in peace, so that we are not forced to come together to defend ourselves from a violent attack by those who obviously have evil intentions against us and our children~! Sincerely, Mike

Article from Native News Online 2025.....NIEA (National Indian Education Association) expressed support for LOCAL CONTROL OF EDUCATION, emphasizing that communities and parents are best suited to determine their children’s educational needs. It reaffirmed the importance of Tribal sovereignty in educating and protecting Indigenous children in ways that reflect and respond to community needs. NIEA welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with the Trump Administration on the development of the Ending Indoctrination Strategy, especially regarding curriculum standards, teacher certification, and professional development. NIEA maintained that Tribal histories and cultures should be included in PUBLIC SCHOOL INSTRUCTION WITH GUIDANCE AND APPROVAL FROM NATIVE NATIONS, parents, and state legislatures.

well yes, it is brainwashing. It's just that I think the Tribe's agenda is appropriate for parents and children.. why can't we all have such beliefs. The Teacher's unions have ruined US education. My parents were teachers, through the 1950's and 1960's. My mother finally had enough of the union and became a children's Librarian. She felt that she could make more of a difference for good, in a child's life by introducing them to books, etc. rather than following the 'guidelines that unions created.

MANY are angry.

However, it is not the articles that Jeff writes as much as it is he “shows up”.

He “takes matters” takes…

When all the people, including me and you, stand up, & GO to ALL the meetings… ALL!

Then, WE make a difference.

I hope that those that scoff and complain.. will be the ones to rise above with solutions.

Get involved.. volunteer..

Because it is not over yet!

Show up on ZOOM if not in person.

I worked full time and did all the things..

Lets find the solution.

Let’s agree to show up.

Don't forget Dept of Commerce is under review (and more) after its audit. "State audit claims the Washington State Department of Commerce paid tens of thousands of dollars to unverified applicants and was in “noncompliance of state law” in its processing for behavioral health facility grants..." $71.4 million budgeted... the whereabouts of funding not completely known. "We lost visibility in some of those cases where we were granting this out to an organization and they were going to be in charge of compliance only after the fact did we realize it was being done improperly." "Report looked at multiple programs the auditor felt were “representing the highest risk of fraud, loss, abuse, or noncompliance.”.... More recycling of money to donate to political campaigns.

MK, you’re absolutely correct!

In states that have no tribes, I’ve witnessed hundreds of miles of internet being installed with many towns 30 to 75 miles apart.

Wyoming and Utah who have tribes have been doing the correct thing and hooking everyone up, not just tribes.

WA has been violating Federal law for a very long time now, and no one has called them on it, instead choosing to wink and look the other way. After all, the tribes were horribly mistreated 5 or 6 generations ago, and it falls to this current generation to make up for it in spades.

Justice was absent back when, and now justice is absent once again.

Discrimination? Ha ha!

Nothing to see here….move along now!
