I just left my coffee stand and was talking to the barista girl who stopped by one of the conservative booths at the fair. Her friend and her were harassed after leaving the booth by some liberal old folks for not buying into the liberal youth movement they are pushing. Is this who we want running CC? I am sure it was CCWD booth. Jeff and Jake thank you for enduring this hate and trying to make a difference in CC. I am too old to do what u 2 are doing but I commend your passion for your efforts and CCWD for the TRUE info on our current direction of our county.

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

Thanks Jed. Jake's booth was a hub of activity all four days. There are so many great people out here in Clallam County.

Billy T Wilson's avatar

Hate from 'them', love from us.

Ken's avatar

Hate. Plain and simple hate. That’s what I got out of CCWD today. Jeff, that took some nerve and guts to approach your haters. Ballsy! Personally I could not of done it, as mama taught us “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words may never hurt”. Hate. The attacks on your family and Jake’s family. All’s hate until a doctor in the ER save your life. Right salsa?

One thing missing on message board, “ISSUES?”. These booth-bots working the fair, get so use to the status quo type of county government, they would be unable to engage in a conversation about the issues. The name calling, profane protest signs, the AI articles, the pedophile hats, etc. it’s the oppositions way of say there are no issues to debate. Wrong. This county is depressed and in the dumps.

The two guys every year in the Dem booth, Brian and his sidekick, are instigators and pot stirrers 101. They have been around the block many times involved in many various serious threats on others of the opposing party. Do not take these characters lightly and wouldn’t be surprised of how many threats are yet unknown by these guys? Both are supporters of the communist party & Tim Wheeler & will go to great lengths to undermine Republicans.

Jeff, thank you for the work every day to keep people informed. It takes real resilience to stand in the middle of the noise, absorb the criticism, and still show up with consistency and clarity. We see that and we appreciate it.

While visiting the fair, I noticed something that has become more common in our community: a growing unwillingness from some individuals to engage in civil discussion, and I’m being nice here. The people in the pictures above and what I observed at the Dem’s booth, they are visibly unhappy people. Their expressions and body language reflected a kind of heaviness that matched the hostility I’ve encountered when trying to have respectful conversations. I’ve made sincere efforts to talk across differences, calmly and with facts, yet too often the response is anger, dismissiveness, or rhetoric, and the use of such nasty language instead of dialogue. It’s unfortunate, because disagreement should never require shutting people down or escalating to personal attacks.

At the fair, I also saw something encouraging: people of all ages wearing Jake Seeger buttons, talking with one another, and showing genuine interest in the future of our county. That kind of engagement matters. It reflects a community that is paying attention and wants accountability, transparency, and constructive conversation. It was great to visit with you and Jake at the fair.

Jeff, you take a lot of heat for the work you do, but you also have a tremendous amount of support — more than some people realize. You have many friends, and you’re gaining new ones every day because you’re willing to speak plainly and stand firm.

Thank you again for your commitment to keeping the public informed. It makes a difference.

Thank you, especially for taking time to stop by the Jake booth. It was a great to see you.

Thank you Jeff, you are a true patriot, and one of the hardest works I have known in years! Again thank you very much.

You're welcome :)

Oh heavens. Sam Woods...

I've heard some shit in my life but that takes the cake. There's absolutely nothing reasonable.

These people are unhinged radicals representing the Democratic party. How is this really what the party wants?

ANDREA L HANA's avatar

Do you know Sam? Sequim resident, or used to be. Used to live out on Holland Rd. If that's him, I'm really shocked. He used to be a reasonable guy. He must be in his 70's, now.

Denise Lapio's avatar

I don't know if this is the same guy, but I have encountered a Sam Wood, friends with Brian Grad, at a protest. My friends have encountered him at least twice. He's the tall, thin guy that brings his NO F......G WAY cross to the rallies and protests. If this is the same man you remember, my experience maybe enlightening. At first, Sam was vitriolic and vulgar and aggressive. Being a counter-protester, I defended my stance and repeatedly asked him to be civil. He slowly calmed himself and we eventually had a civil conversation. My friends have had more intense encounters with him, even being threatened with a weapon. So overall, I wouldn't engage with him because I find him to be unpredictable.

Sarah Kincaid's avatar

I was at a Conservative sign waving where he was harassing me and others. He was engaging in a verbal confrontation with one of the men when he lifted his shirt to reveal a hand gun. He is unpredictable to say the least. Stay safe!

Ed's avatar

That's unlawful displaying of a weapon. Should have been reported to law-enforcement so they could develop PC to arrest him!

Sarah Kincaid's avatar

The police were called, they just brushed it off.

Sarah Kincaid's avatar

He said he felt threatened.

MK's avatar

What a quality, using force to win a discussion, which of course translates into having a weak position.

NorTexWarrior's avatar

I agree, in my experience he was very easy going, reserved and able to hold a conversation. Apparently, those days are long gone.

ANDREA L HANA's avatar

I have known him, just as an acquaintance, for about 35 years. Haven't seen him in at least 20 years. What a shame that he's gone koo-koo. Is it just me, or does he sound like an old gun-toting redneck R?

John Worthington's avatar

They must pay. Its better than being a Walmart greeter.

MK's avatar

I don't, and maybe that makes me the lucky one.

Jeff you have brought such insight as to what is going on behind the scenes in our county.

Jake you have brought inspiration to all of us who are concerned about this county’s future.

Both of you are doing such a great job, I commend the both of you for not stooping to their level. This shows everyone how open and engaged you are.

For the people who can’t see through all this garbage, I feel sorry for you. If our county continues down this road we will all be hurting

KK's avatar

Agreed! Well said!

Denise Lapio's avatar

Jeff, you were very brave to have asked the questions of the people who have intentionally maligned you, Doug, and Jake. Knowing their responses would be laced with venom, you still asked. On the bright side, you had a fun time at the fair and met genuine people who were happy to be there and meet you and Jake. You have an entire community of people who like you, love you, support you, admire you, and care about you. Maybe you have so much more than those others have which makes them envious and spiteful.

Jeff Tozzer's avatar

Thank you, Denise. This is not something I would have done a year ago but spending time watching Jake engage with people who agree or disagree with him has shown me that I can be a better person.

Denise Lapio's avatar

The student has become the teacher.

jedjennings50's avatar

Jeff I don’t see how you can stop this negativity. The personal attacks are not only illegal but damning to one’s life. The agenda is clear with the Frenchie followers , win at all cost and dont tell the truth. The truth being he has no accomplished positive results of anything he has done. Nothing is hard to do but he has accomplished that record. I can’t imagine 4 more years of this.

Philip Bates's avatar

@Jeff Tozzer- I think there should be a GoFundMe to create a Legal Fund to sue these leftist liars and cheaters for Slamder and Defamation! I believe there are legitimate damages!

KK's avatar

I've thought the same.

jedjennings50's avatar

At least campaign violations of defaming Jeff and Jake.

I’m going to address the Toxic Slop trolling in my article tomorrow.

What’s funny about someone approaching you and spreading lies that gun owners out here are going to round up gays, is that it’s not only a slur on gays it’s also a slur on gun owners, because it’s not true; and they aren’t going around to gun owners saying that, they’re only saying it to gay people. Why? Are they scared that gun owners might not be as nice about it when someone lies to their face about their intentions of firearm ownership? That’s how they pick their battles; just like some animal rights activists will attack women in furs, but they don’t dare attack a biker in leather. LOL.

Oh, yes, one more thing. I heard someone ‘whispering’ when I walked by a booth “has a Seegers button” and I assumed they were talking about me but I didn’t stop. I think it was near the Randy Brackett booth when I heard it. Glad to know that people can read the button! LOL.

Kristin's avatar

That’s how they pick their battles; just like some animal rights activists will attack women in furs, but they don’t dare attack a biker in leather. ------------ You nailed it right there.

Billy T Wilson's avatar

I was also a Dem. Now I see unhappy, unhinged, envious old crones and their equally unhappy whipped husbands.

Glen Parker's avatar

Good morning Jeff and Doggers,

Woo hoo,

That's a lot of crappola they sling and try as they might to hurt you and Jake!

Let me guess , with no track record to stand on and the fact that their grifter squad stands to lose funding.... it's all they have!

We stand with you Jeff and Jake for the courage it takes daily. I hope you both know the truth shall prevail.

Thanks so much and have a great day all!

And ..Vote Jake Seegers and get others to do so as well!

TLL's avatar

Vote for Virginia also! Common sence and the wedges!

4 reasonable development's avatar

VIRGINIA SHOGREN IS RUNNING AS AN INDEPENDENT! She is an independent! Members within the Clallam County Republican Women’s group are claiming Virginia is a Democrat and can’t speak at their meetings! Virginia is NOT a democrat! REPEAT…..VIRGINIA SHOGREN IS NOT A DEMOCRAT (setting record straight here). Don’t believe what others say, ask Virginia yourself directly. She’d be happy to tell you her party affiliation herself face to face anytime, anywhere! VOTE VIRGINIA SHOGREN!

CC Republican Women’s group should invite her to speak at ALL a of their meetings.

Gayle's avatar

Interesting as Virginia told me to my face just last week that she is a moderate Democrat. Moderate Democrats are few these days so that’s not a bad thing.

Virginia Shogren's avatar

Hi Gayle! I walked away from the Democrat Party. I am no longer affiliated. An early sign was being locked out of Dem Headquarters back in 2017(!)

Glen Parker's avatar

Good to hear Virginia 👍

Gayle's avatar

So you’re no longer affiliated with the party but lean idealistically as a moderate Democrat. Would that be what you were telling me when you said you were a moderate Democrat? And like I said, in today’s political scene that’s not a bad thing.

Ken's avatar

People. Ridiculous. Looking for an “R”, “I” or “D” on someone’s forehead is why we got where we are today. Judge people by their words (truth). Labels suck.

4 reasonable development's avatar

That’s not real world Ken, narvanna is not happening in Clallam County. It matters otherwise local leaders of the Republican Party and Republican groups would not be spreading false narratives, kicking people out of the party (Keene) & doubling down on good candidates who are stepping up to protect election integrity. The democrat party is the same they won’t even consider anyone unless they are a democrat or pledges to lean left…..oh sorry not to be…..nice but good luck with “let’s just all get along” BS.

Rita Lilita's avatar

I, like my conservative friends, surround myself with people from across the political spectrum. I am naturally going to befriend as many left-leaning people as right-leaning, simply because of my community's demographics. It's simple math. It is also precisely because of this community's left-leaning demographics that progressives do not need to venture outside of their echo chambers to make friends. I have seldom met a right-leaning peer that traffics exclusively with other conservatives; the same cannot be said for progressives. The D party of acceptance, tolerance and kindness?

Kathy's avatar

"There are so many great people out here in Clallam County." Of course I know this but after reading the article it was a needed reminder. These people are sick, I don't honestly know how they can live with themselves. I'm so glad I'm on 'the side' that doesn't resort to this kind of hate and violence.

CAS's avatar

And that hatred is without remorse. A lot of projection going on there too.

Kathy's avatar

I bet there are some who don't agree with what's being said and done but don't speak up for fear of retaliation. And if that's the case they should be leaving that group. But then who would tell them how to think and what to do?

ANDREA L HANA's avatar

I'm confused. If Jake was a staunch, conservative, "right-wing" R, then he wouldn't tolerate a gay person, nor would use their service as a campaign manager. Jake ran as an independent. So, that tracks.

Furthermore, why would a group of "inclusive" supporters threaten someone on the basis of being gay? That doesn't tracks. It's crazy.

Dale Russell's avatar

"a staunch, conservative, "right-wing" R, ... wouldn't tolerate a gay person". That's what the far left would like to believe. They would be surprised how tolerant the right-wing R's can be. :-)

ANDREA L HANA's avatar

Right. I agree, I know people from all sides. But these crazy mud slingers, especially Sam, don't make any sense. And, as many R's have shown lately, some are beyond conservative, they're outright prejudice. You see what I mean? Jake went middle of the road because he's a clear-headed, reasonable person. That's what I see. I can't believe how nuts everyone has gotten.

Kristin's avatar

I asked for specific examples so I could correct the errors, but she provided none. ---- SHOCKER!
