Thank you Jeff! This is the info I've been patiently waiting for everyone to hear. I'm not sure the importance of what this does for the JST can be overstated. There is no possible way for any other private business to compete with this business model. It is a virtual monopoly locking out any other competition.

The funding for the encounter rate is complicated and it comes from the feds through IHS but is then funneled through the state where tribes can collectively negotiate the rate. The source of the funding then may look like and be claimed that it's not from IHS.

And I want people to realize that it's not just the "healing clinic". They get this encounter rate at their Medical clinic, Dental clinic, Mental Health clinic, and pharmacy services.

Imagine having a business where tax payers give you $719 every time someone walks through your door. What a grift!

When will we stop calling tribes sovereign? They are not sovereign when they take money from the federal government. When they can live off the land and literally use their own resources then they can be considered sovereign. As stands they are not and should be viewed as not.

You are correct. That is the definition of sovereign nation: completely self maintained, services, food, health. JTK is a joke. They could pay their own way, but why should they? Tax payers cough up the $ and we never get a thank you. But they expect accolades for everything they do!

We adopted our first golden retriever after our neighbor became addicted to Oxycontin. He broke up that family. You know, when I was a newspaper editor in NJ, cops always told me that heroin addiction usually followed Oxycontin. After that, the addicted person was usually dead in six months to a year. Our neighbor was.

All drugs, illicit or otherwise, are scheduled. It doesn’t matter how they tout it. Look up how that drug is scheduled. Schedule 1 drugs have no medical value and high potential for abuse, while schedule 2 through 5 substances all have some medical value but differ in ranking depending on their potential for abuse (from high to low).

But the 'clinics' are profiting from the addiction, the regular MD's for the most part are threatened if they prescribe even short term pain meds...someone wants the suffering to be maximal, for the addicted and the regular pain patient!

When they cut off the opioids in 2016...the streets were simultaneously flooded with fentanyl-laced heroin! Coincidence?

We lost a few dozen people in the STATE to prescription overdose but hundreds to suicide and street drug overdose, when their pain meds were cut off with no counseling, no tapering, no warning at all! This was not reported. (of course)

It could not have been carried out with more precision or more Mal-intent than it was!

The evil is predominant for now and we'll see more of it until the tsunami passes over and retreats, leaving behind a horror of destruction we are only beginning to see!

The Federal Hospital COVID treatment protocol paid Hospitals bonuses for a COVID diagnosis, ( remember this was when influenza diagnoses impossibly disappeared ), Remdesivir use, ( a toxic injection in which Anthony Fauci was invested ), respirator use, ( inappropriate in most applications ) and COVID death certificates, ( regardless of cause of death, hospitals got a bonus, if they coded it to COVID ). This financially incentivized treatment protocol not only insured a maximum fatality, it also horribly skewed the COVID statistics. Now we are rewarding and incentivizing opioid use. How about a Federal bonus at the grocery store for buying vegetables ?

But is that the best cure for patients with chronic pain ? Pain changes everything. Your personality, your activity, your social life. Patients that never abused their prescriptions are now the target to show reduction in quantity of meds requested. Susan, you are absolutely spot on. Chronic pain is a whole field into itself. It is life consuming and shouldn't be mingled in with drug abuse. These are real people with real needs. I myself can only compare it to childbirth, except I knew there was an end to the pain. Chronic pain has no end, and yes, there is a high rate of suicide among people with chronic pain. The most prevalent of chronic pain is that of back pain. It affects every position of your daily sitting, standing, walking and sleeping life. Thank you for bringing this aspect to the discussion.

And the hassle of going to an office every 30 days to sign forms that you will not sell, misuse, or trade your prescription or use it in conjunction with an illegal street drug. Yes it actually said that on the form I was given after 25 years as a patient. So what’s the big deal about quality of life? Shouldn’t some of us been grandfathered in before all the S*** hit the fan? I played by the rules. My neurologist got so fed up he took early retirement.

Totally agree...been there, done that...had a 'working relationship' with opioids for over 8 years, once I figured out how to manage it.

Quality of life was drastically improved but...2016...the plan was rolled out...maybe saved some lives but many were lost...we know of one suicided with meds because he could no longer get any relief and MANY MANY more were lost but never reported on!

Quality of life for many were reduced...no counseling, no tapering, no monitoring, no gradual reduction in dosage and managing the pain differently...just done and gone...ironically I do know of a couple people who are still getting the oxi-family of opioids...how does that work?

Mine was Dilaud or Hydro-Morphone...pretty potent but no where near the toxicity of the oxi's and fentanyl!

Oh, well...the god(s) of this world have always been psychotic...say la vie!😎

You hit it right on the head~!!! Once an Individual sees this same "model of corruption" in one aspect of society, all that they need to do is to learn to recognize the same pattern of corruption in the other aspects of our current society. That leads the Individual to no other logical conclusion than "we" (Americans/humanity) are in fact being ruthlessly controlled by the most evil and deadly tyrants on earth~! These evil tyrants are the most wealthy & powerful Individuals on earth, obviously, and they have very carefully assembled a system of horrors that hides their true identities, while placing their evil puppets in key high-profile positions of power & control all across society. This sick evil system is VERY old, VERY deeply rooted, pervasive, and it has now become SO dangerous and deadly that "we" (humanity) no longer have any choice but to terminate it along with the criminals of humanity and their evil minions~! You well described the process of identifying this evil corruption in one aspect of society at a time, because these criminals of humanity have only one common and consistent "game plan" that they follow, and they have ruthlessly deployed it over & over again & again for a great many hundreds of years~! You have actually described the "restart" of The Age of Enlightenment movement of humanity, the exact painful process it entails, and precisely how it works~! Nice~! Have a great day and keep up the good work because ONLY those who have broken our Individual chains of enslavement fully understand what it is like to do so, and ONLY those who have endured the same process would be capable of properly articulating it~! Those who are strong enough to defeat their own Individual brainwashing know how difficult the process is, and we are here to help guide and support others who are working to free themselves. Once an Individual sees the evil matrix in one aspect of life/society, they can never "unsee" it and it becomes incumbent upon them to free themselves because no one can do that but the Individuals themselves. Life is better, happier, and FAR safer on the other side BTW, so yes, it is well worth the Individual pain and suffering that the process always requires~!!!

Very sincerely, Mike

You are correct that there is going to be a slide in the numbers of homeowners, however I believe that it will only be temporary because of the new financial/economic system that is already in place just outside of the public view. "We" can't bring in the new system until the old system is ready to be "unplugged". Yes, the criminals of humanity had nearly completed their evil new system/level of control, but there was a "monkey wrench" tossed into their evil gears and "SNAPPO" their evil agenda was terminated. Sad huh? So, my analysis is that there will in due time be an economic BOOM that makes the post WWII economy look like an economic collapse~! ALL of these idiots who are fighting President Trump and the white hats are actually fighting their own MASSIVE historic economic BOOM believe it or not, but that is what is happening... The criminals of humanity have NO real power, without their "useful idiots" who "eat their own young"~! HA~! Hello Patriot Steve O~!

Ah, yes, normally you would probably be correct, however the reason that the old criminal medical cabal has been allowed to commit suicide by COVID "vaccines" and other systemic malpractice is because President Trump and the white hat (Global alliance) is going to replace the old evil death cult healthcare system with new technology and about 6,000 hidden patents that will actually allow folks to live healthier, happier, better, and even longer, from what "we" have been analyzing for years now~! I understand this sounds "pie in the sky" but that is the honest analysis like it or not. So, folks who are looking for an early demise will probably be disappointed and have a very cool option in the not-so-distant future. Maybe even this year or next year, but the one thing that I can't do is predict the timing. War is Hell and predicting timing of anything in wartime is never easy. Hang in there my friend, because I/we definitely know that there are hidden patients and truths that can be extremely beneficial for our health. We have actually "rediscovered" some of them over the years ourselves. For instance, neither of us has had a common cold for well over 15 years because we know the cure~! It is easy to make and very inexpensive, so the big drug criminals spend enormous amounts of money to keep the common cold cure hidden. There is also a technology that we know as "The Med Bed" that has been around for many decades, so be on the lookout for an announcement about a "new technology" that can BIGGLEY help folks coming out around or after the new US Treasury Notes are released to replace the federal reserve dollars that we are still using today. You may want to research Nickola Tesla because he was FAR superior to Einstein~!!! Light years~! You may also stumble across the name of Nickola Tesla's chief personal assistant back in the day. A man who I believe was named "John Trump"~! If that name rings a bell, it should, because your President is "Donald John Trump" (word is that President Trump learned much from his uncle ;-)) When the useful idiots realize that THEY caused these delays in will be the best economy the world has ever experienced, causing a great many millions of murders, they will forever be ashamed for their insanity & foolishness. They will be faced with the reality that they were even worse that the WWII German NAZI promoting general public! MUCH worse~! True story~! Have a mellow evening and stay as healthy as possible~! The federal government removes our money and returns it many years later. This seems like a scam unless many people die before they can collect both.

Steve, can you imagine at as little as 5 percent what your social security earnings would look like? That’s not even high risk crazy investing. It wasn’t but 3 or 4 decades ago that no one except teamsters had monies to invest. Think of the billions of dollars tied up in portfolios, that the average worker had no true participation in picking. But with “matching” funds from employer got involved, they wouldn’t let you take those withholdings and think on your own. 20 years ago financial advisers were for Thurston Howell and Lovie. Now there’s an Edward Jones on every other street corner. An entire financial product based industry has been created. And if you don’t look at the fee structure of your investments/agent you may be barely covering your costs annually. It takes some digging. Say $35 per $10,000 invested doesn’t seem horrible until you do the math on a million dollar portfolio, also adviser fee is on top of that. Oh yes, I complain but not geared to do it myself. Can you even roll over money into a self directed investment. I know our investment guru makes it seem like only a wizard knows how to perform such a task.

Well, after The American Constitution I was never much of one for the "rules" of the keepers of this spinning insane asylum~! Ha Ha Ha! Yes, I am a smidge over 65 and I have been collecting MY money from SS for a while because I saw this BS coming and wanted to make sure that I removed as much money from the criminals of humanity as possible. I also closed all of the "government-controlled accounts" that I had long ago, because I smelled that refrigerator door closing! Refrigerators talk tuff, but they really don't have what it takes to duke it out~! ;-} HA! "We" still owe a little on our private note on our property, but I like that money going into the hands of private folks who are using it to help others, and well out of the hands of the criminals in the mortgage/banking cabal. You should laugh at that if you remember that I myself was a mortgage broker & banker trying to help folks long ago in that rat infested world of liars and cheats~! Our property is for sale, so first come first serve, but "we" are just going to buy another slice of heaven anyway... Retirement facility? Ha! I am too annoying for that, but sitting in a grey walled room waiting to die would definitely not be me. Yes, these evil monsters would LOVE to "erase" a lot of us, and they don't really care what age, sex, or race we are anymore... The low estimate is that 20 million Americans were slaughtered with the COVID vaccines alone over the past 5 years and we continue to see more (healthy people) dropping dead every day. I have the numbers closer to 30+ million, but I am including all of the death camps that are posing as hospitals "caring" for those who are foolish or unfortunate enough to dare being admitted into a hospital these days. Fun huh? Of course, you are being VERY generous by suggesting that the scumbags in Olympia and the DC swamp actually have "grey matter" but right you are about their evil Intentions and death cult agenda. All things considered, I will continue to work on my health just out of spite to upset these criminals of humanity and their murderers~! There are quite a few of us "old geezers" who are willing to sacrifice ourselves for America and the future generations these days, so if that should become necessary there are going to be GOBZ of jack-booted NAZI socialists who "suddenly" cast polka dotted shadows~! Baaaaa Haaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaa~! President Trump and the white hats are definitely running out of time because many folks are building to a point where they are just going to do their Constitutional duty to deal with these criminals of humanity and their evil minions, so one way or another this evil matrix will be as dead as disco in due time~!

Have a fun afternoon and enjoy a great weekend~!

The only problem is that those days of "just say no" and "zero tolerance" were in fact criminally unconstitutional, and they directly led to ALL of the horrific nightmares that we now have today. This was in fact always completely foreseeable for any REAL American Constitutionalist because "we" always knew what the end result would be, but Americans had to go down the wrong (unconstitutional) road until it became too painful because they do not fully understand the absolute law of the land (America) and just how critical it is to our Republic. No pain, no gain ;-) Compassion definitely has its proper role, as well it always should however too much "compassion" always becomes overly emotional hysterically driven damage, pain, and suffering, under the guise of "good intentions"~! Violate The American Constitution and there are immediate and long-lasting painful consequences every single time regardless of any "Intentions" ;-] Yes, many Americans tragically want to return to the past matrix, however that is only an emotional preference/response to end the pain and suffering that Americans are currently enduring. We (America) will NEVER "go back" to the old evil matrix that created this Hell on earth, because that will not be allowed and it is no longer an option~! Thank God~! So, we (Americans) need to start doing the right things that we always should have been doing in the first place, as opposed to following the criminals in the government and our society who have very evil agendas. George Gilder wrote about this subject many years ago in his book "Naked Nomads". Men are more likely to be in prison, to be addicted to dope and to be homeless. Why? Gilder believes that marriage tames the male spirit. Once females in law school outnumbered males the average male including Joe Sixpack became obsolete. The reason is simple. A male will marry a female based upon her physical attributes independent of financial status. In other words, beneath his station. Females generally marry above their station or avoid marriage. Imagine all the adult males living with their parents playing video games all day because no female is available to them. In 1950 they would have married and initiated a family after high school. That is the tenor of the book I believe.

Ultimately it is the responsibility of each Individual to work hard to improve their own health, however there is no doubt that the old dramatically failed criminally corrupt medical system that promotes, creates, and fosters unwell Individuals as the business model is clearly dying a slow death. There is a new medical system model that has already been born from the ashes of the old rotten system, and just like the other painful yet positive changes our society is currently experiencing, many of "us" (REAL American Patriots) have been doing our best to get the truth out for years and even decades in many cases. The most abusive Individuals who have been "slamming" the Patriot truth tellers with the evil and dirty "conspiracy theory club" of the thugs and bullies can expect their victims to remind them with the "I told you so" admonishment that they so well deserve, however, most American truth tellers are folks of duty and great compassion who understand that "we" (ALL Americans) have been exposed to a constant brutal brainwashing system of government from cradle to grave by the most powerful who have carefully and very Intentionally "dumbed down" as many people as possible for well over 100 years~! We hope that ALL Americans can soon realize that all of us have been constantly ruthlessly abused by the most evil tyrants that the world has ever seen, so that together we can finally purge of society of these horrible criminals of humanity everywhere that they exist~! At the very least, "we" hope that the weak-minded low information crowd that is the most susceptible to the dictates and brainwashing of the tyrants, cease playing the roles of self-destructive fools who are constantly being used to do the bidding of the criminals of humanity~! Thank you Jeff Tozzer for another "gentle reminder" of one of the most dastardly and deadly aspects of life today and may your "flashlight of truth" never run out of batteries~! Cheers~! Sincerely, Mike

...“On its face, the message sounds compassionate. But the wording—and the economics behind it—invite a closer look”…

This battle is being fought in other towns. Replace the town of Southhampton with Port Angeles, and you’ll hardly notice a difference. Southhampton is fighting the Tribe’s status of restricted fee lands which has stripped the town of its authority to regulate under local and state jurisdiction.

...”How much revenue does the clinic make from these daily encounters?

• Should taxpayers have the right to see the numbers for a facility they paid to build?

For now, those answers remain behind the closed doors of a sovereign nation”...

By Chez Oxendine Tribal Business News Aug 10, 2025

Shinnecock-owned billboards are part of a wider economic development plan - but the boards’ operation has continually been challenged both by the state of New York and the nearby Town of Southampton.

“The Town of Southampton filed suit Tuesday in federal court against the Department of the Interior, challenging a Dec. 23 memorandum that directed the Bureau of Indian Affairs to record the Shinnecock Indian Nation's Westwoods parcel as restricted fee land.

Native-owned land is often split into several categories, the most prominent of which is trust land, or land held in trust with the federal government as part of a reservation. Trust lands lie outside typical state and local jurisdictions. In this instance, the Shinnecock Nation has asserted the parcel in question is restricted fee land — land that is owned by the tribe and subject to restrictions on state and local interference without being attached to an existing reservation.

The complaint alleges that the BIA’s decision memorandum and a subsequent title status report were “arbitrary and capricious.” Southampton says the actions unlawfully stripped the town of its longstanding AUTHORITY TO REGULATE the roughly 79-acre parcel in Hampton Bays, which the Shinnecock Nation owns in fee simple — meaning with the same rights as a private owner, still SUBJECT TO LOCAL AND STATE JURISDICTION.

Shinnecock Vice Chairman Lance Gumbs called the suit a bid to “squeeze every bit of funding” out of the tribe's economic development efforts.

“We don't have the funds as a non-gaming tribe, so these are attempts to basically bankrupt the nation and prevent us from having living standards for ourselves,” Gumbs told Tribal Business News. “We're surrounded by all of this opulence and wealth — it's the lifestyles of the rich and famous for everybody but us.”

The suit is the latest development in an ongoing dispute between the Shinnecock Nation, the state of New York, AND THE TOWN OF SOUTHAMPTON OVER THE WESTWOODS PARCEL The Nation has installed two electronic billboards there and HAS PROPOSED BUILDING A GAS STATION AND TRAVEL PLAZA, PROMPTING THE TOWN AND NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ASSERT THAT NON-TRIBAL PERMITS ARE REQUIRED.

The tribe has been fighting attempts to shut down their electronic billboards, and an ongoing injunction against their gas station, since 2019.

In his Dec. 23 memorandum, Newland concluded that Westwoods “is within the Nation's aboriginal territory, that the Nation has resided within its aboriginal territory SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL and has never removed therefrom, and that Westwoods is within the purview of the Nonintercourse Act and is therefore restricted against alienation absent consent of the United States.”

He directed the BIA's Eastern Region to enter the parcel as restricted fee land in the agency's Trust Asset and Accounting Management System, according to his letter to the tribe.

SOUTHAMPTON ARGUES THAT RECLASSIFYING PRIVATELY HELD LAND REQUIRES FORMAL RULEMAKING, PUBLIC NOTICE AND CONSULTATION - — none of which occurred, according to the complaint. The town's suit seeks to vacate Newland's memorandum and the title status report, a declaratory judgment that Westwoods is NOT restricted fee land, and a permanent injunction RESTORING THE TOWN’S REGULATORY OVERSIGHT OVER THE PARCEL…”

This is another example of wasteful tax $$$ that is premeditated to line the pockets of certain people. As these lucrative drug facilities continue to rake in the taxpayers $$$ then more and more problems grow by bringing in more and more drug addicts from other cities. More drug addicts need more housing ect ect ect.We see the beginning of this right now with the mat clinic in sequim and a proposed new luxury housing project for drug addicts in P.A.we will have to see who will be living in the carsborg project when finished. The disturbing part is the mindset of the people behind this disaster that have been elected to make rational decisions for the safety of clallam county residents. It does seem that some mentally ill people are managing to get voted into office to destroy this county out of greed or stupidity or both. The three commission board members which seem to be heading in a direction to raise taxes for this scenerio better get replaced asap or clallam county is going to look like shithole real quick.JKT is going to get a real bad reputation for supporting this drug problem just to make more $$$ which it does not appear to need.Build rehab facilities to give out freebies for reoffenders and get $$$ from both directions. Clallam county has had plenty of rehab facilities for many years but a newer player wants in on the action.

Jeff, what about those other clinics in PA and elsewhere that only charge $50 per encounter? Back in the SOS days, we referenced those as fulfilling the needs of MAT help on the Olympic Peninsula. While it's hard to blame the Tribe for taking the maximum allowable, just as none of us would ignore legal deductions from our tax returns, one has to wonder why they're in business at all if other clinics can do it for $50. Maybe it's $100 now, but still. I fault Congress for their racist practice of treating the Tribes differently and divisively. DEFUND THE BIA! Write DOGE!

When SOS was fighting the Tribal MAT clinics, people in the know said there were at least a dozen independent MAT clinics in PA that charged as little as $35 for treatment. I am taking this at their word and vaguely recall that someone compiled a list, to show that the Tribal clinic was unnecessary and a huge tax burden. But, like most things in Clallam County, it was a done deal before the public ever heard about it.

The tax-payer. The difference between the two, as I understood back during SOS, is the healing wellness center offers wrap-around services…showers, psychologists, day-care, counseling, free transportation & a place to stay for a couple of days to get on their way to sober? The other places don’t offer wrap-around only drugs to replace other drugs.

Questions: can Non-tribal addicts get treatment? How much of the $719 goes back to big Pharma drug companies who actually provided the set up in all of the treatments centers around the country? What kind of profit do they rake in at tax-payer expense? Is their Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement to be affected by the National cuts coming up, or are they immune from reduced payments like all other medical facilities? Is it true that treatment course is considered 1 year for most addicted persons, and what is the rate of "CURE" . How does the total medical care including dental compare at this facility? Maybe BIA needs to be examined by the MAGATSl like everything else, since it is sovereign but federal at the same time.

Steve O.'s avatar

Actually, a large portion of our civilization now hates legacy Americans especially White males. MAGA is a populist movement that favors Americans over the Third World and other countries. This group wishes to remove waste in government, immigration, crime in cities and foreign wars that don't favor our country. The working class has been ignored in favor of cheap slave labor imported for economic and political reasons. Foreigners are favored over Americans. Both Republicans and Democrats want this influx but for different reasons. Many cities have become dangerous, and the leaders have refused to protect citizens. Donald Trump is the conduit. My own belief is that the federal reserve bank should be removed along with income tax. I would have a national consumption tax which is more equitable. We want energy independence and more nuclear reactors. We don't care about the Middle East nor support for "Our greatest Ally". We also want manufacturing to return to the US. We believe the left is wrong, but they believe we are evil. Donald Trump is not entirely MAGA but closer than the Democratic Party that discriminates against White males.

The Tribes received a BIG settlement from Pharma giants Johnson and Johnson, the Purdue Co, makers of Oxycontin, and other Pharma. They may have used (just guessing here) part of settlement to build the Clinic.

"A major settlement was reached in February 2022 where the following agreed to pay Native American tribes for their role in the opioid crisis:

Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson: $150 million, to be paid over two years.

The three largest drug distributors (AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson): $440 million, to be paid over six and a half years.

In all, these settlements will bring over $1 billion in opioid abatement funds to Indian Country, according to Tribal Self-Governance documents. These funds are to be paid out over the next 15 years.

It's important to note that these settlements are in addition to separate agreements, such as:

A prior agreement that resulted in $75 million in payments to the Cherokee Nation from the three distribution companies.

Additional settlements with other companies, including pharmaceutical manufacturers Teva and Allergan and major pharmacy chains (Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens).

The funds from these settlements are intended to be used for tribal programs, services, and activities aimed at addressing the opioid crisis within their communities, including prevention, harm reduction, and treatment efforts. "

Totally respectable on it's face. Who wouldn't want to support a "healing clinic". But MAT clinics work by taking patients off of opiates that they are getting from illegal sources and putting them on synthetic opiates that are controlled and dispensed by the clinic. These clinics take over the roll of the drug dealer legally and get the taxpayer to pay for the drugs while keeping the patient needing the "treatment".
