I am glad to see Jeff, in a position of radio media. Any position.

The tribal "compensation mechanism" is destroying our local government.

I hope Jeff gets more airtime and increases his audience.

Imagine, having local radio media as a platform for truth. No more paid for lies...paid for truth..Paid for Kimmel's and bits..

Indivisible Sequim is anti American communist doctrine. Just like the Clallam County Commissioners they hate the truth and hate opposition even worse.

As we can clearly see tribes have become spoiled by free $$$ and entitlements no matter how much $$$ they have in their coffers they want more and more and where is the oversight for expenses probably none just do whatever with free $$$.Fed govt doge needs to do audits before just handing out free tax $$$ so freely, somebody had to work for this free $$$.When tribes own golf courses, restaurants, gas stations, casino's,retail buisinesses, ect ect ect they are self sufficient and need no more free $$$.Free loaders are abusing tax $$$ and should be cut off.

Ref: Lawsuit against the City of Sequim. I see the City caving to the big developer lawyers in one, one-hour executive, closed door meeting. It is too expensive to fight it, for a city armed with a small legal team and limited funds. It's called a shakedown or a bluff. "My lawyer is bigger than your lawyer." Squirm. Blink. Dig in. Good luck Kristina and your legal staff, the City of Sequim. I think I'll get out my Quija Board and Magic Eight Ball for this one.

This was definitely my first reaction as the timing of Cle Elum and the Moratorium, seemingly joint events. But now I scratch my head and ask Who are all the players and what skin do they have in the game? I'd like to see the "Lineup" card from the City of Sequim. What is the political clout - Gov has been here twice in last few months? Dem Party? AG's office? Who are the deep pockets bankrolling this showdown? Seattle and King county through their attorney have been going full tilt at all covenant areas which restricted the sale of property to minorities and religious groups. Perhaps the next agenda targets are here in Sequim - two back to back very Prime properties -from 101 down Whitefeather Way and let's include as number 2, the Marina. To me this frames the legal battle entirely differently from the Cle Elum issue. And for the deep pockets bankrolling this case, a million four hundred dollar bill from the builder is "chump change".

Whatever shakes out will be very interesting, indeed. I am reminded that the Wayne family beneficiaries went to the builder who had the money and the ideas and had a "can do" attitude. And the land was designated for recreational development. The Marina needs upgrades and I believe the Port of PA is looking to Sequim for some monetary help? And the land is for all to use and can't go to a private person/entity for profit, otherwise the marina reverts back to the Wayne Family. Just looks like this is heading to court. Just would like to know who all the players are that are having the Sequimites digging in their heels. Maybe a trial will give us the line up.

Jennifer's avatar

Geoff, I remember reading another article from the Wayne family in or around 2019, and that it was John Wayne's wish to keep that property for PUBLIC enjoyment. I think his son wrote it, not sure, but it emphasized the purpose John Wayne wanted it to be used for. That's why I was shocked when I read that the Wayne family sold it to a builder.

Yep, a trial will bring out the truth.

Expand full comment
Geoff Fox's avatar

I think that the 2019 comment is in reference to just the Marina property. The parcel the builder is developing is a separate from the Marina and I believe was designated "for recreational development" and so recognized by past Sequim City Council(s)? This may be one of the bones of contention - did a past decision by the City Council make it into the land development code?

There were high hopes among alot of us that the Sequim City government would kill the Seabrook project for many good reasons....among them is the current infrastucture in the City could not handle the increase in population...to say nothing of route 101 which isnt going to grow in the foreseeable future. It is also my understanding that the Wayne property was zoned for a resort development, which a Seabrook type development clearly not. Now we're being told that the City is afraid to deny a development that the citizens of the City DO NOT want for a variety of legitament reasons. Let's hire some decent lawyers and fight the developers. And while we're at it...let's get a new slate of City.elected officials that know what they are doing.

If I understand correctly our last Governor pretty much gutted zoning laws for housing. Buy a big home with a big lot on Queen Anne or Magnolia and fill the back yard with ADU's I might be mistaken and certainly would appreciate a primer on the subject.

The Wayne Property is going to be developed at some point. If you read about how Seabrook works its about as good as it gets. The rentals are all handled by one entity. Its strictly controlled. You aren't going to have a dozen outlaw motorcyclist or 15 kids renting a property

and tearing up the community. The ratio is structured for a 70/30 owner occupied to short term rentals. Growth is inevitable. Managing it wisely is key. The Wayne Family gifted a beautiful piece of waterfront to the county. I believe they have the right to develop their land.

I believe that Seabrook will do a better job than a hedge fund like Black Rock backing K.B. Homes or another National builder.

I might be all wet with my opinion but I'm open to being educated as to why its flawed.

In my lifetime I've seen farmlands fold into suburbs. Sleepy towns become gentrified. I've seen it done haphazard and some done well.

I think of South Hill Puyallup. Unchecked housing development in the 90's and ugly urban sprawl. I was young and saw it coming and got out relocating a few miles away where growth was more controlled. Regardless the next 25 years brought urban densities beyond my comfort but it was done probably as well as could be expected. My home had quadrupled in value and I moved to East Sequim Bay. At some point I'll either be dead or too old to care for my acreage. If healthy enough a development like Seabrook would appeal to me. I've seen the development on the coast. Its very nice. Its walkable to most amenities. There is transportation to the Airport and Seattle area. If I live long enough where driving is no longer an option I cannot imagine a nicer spot than 1200 sq ft bungalow above JW Marina. I'm sure I can trade 5 acres for 1200sq ft with some left over. If I'm not on this earth I want my wife to have quality options. Sequim's nicest retirement community isn't as well done as Westbrook would be. Again that's just my opinion. Some will share that vision others won't.

Here’s a towel. What ever you believe to be true of this good salesman/careless developer, please go to Seabrooks web site . Good investment? Not went management keeps 40 percent of rental income.

Good for local businesses, not once they put in a grocery store a couple of restaurants and anything you need. People never leave

Stepford by the Sea.

Lived 2 blocks away from Seabrook. Roloff at meeting at school, said he’d hire all locals. Today all that’s left on MainStreet Pacific Beach are 2 businesses after 21 years after Seabrook broke ground. Oh yes, the sewer and water systems were greatly impacted and I believe increase on our tax burden for years. He buses workers from Aberdeen about 25 miles away, they can’t afford to live there. But he told all of us that workers lived in homes they were buying or renting.

Go to Web site, now picture Seabrook at the head of Sequim Bay. PS friend told me he has just started the addional 1300 homes in Pacific Beach. How can he back fill the wetland, cross a “salmon” river, all on a state highway. Good money, or good friends. Could I build 20 feet from the highway. Would I ?

How about the vegetation. Scrape and level. Then go back in and plant nonnative low height scrubs. Cover roads with oyster shells, then go brag to co workers how you spent the weekend at the beach. (Which you really never went to bc of indoor pool, baby sitting, restaurants , ice cream, pizza on site.

He told group it would have no impact on traffic. Well we are paying for whitefeather roundabout. And once you get to Stepford, you don’t have to leave, right?

Been there, watched it, saw removal of trees and undergrowth. Obviously if it’s a vaca place, those folks don’t get involved in Sequim activities. They are short timers.

Great work getting the interview gig on the local radio station Jeff Tozzer~!

It is exceedingly rare for a top tier international underwear model to also possess such a wonderful voice and especially face that SO well exceeds the basic requirements for radio~! Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! :) Is that Hollywood I hear knocking~? I am not at all surprised that the local police tried to bury that vicious attack on The Olympic Discovery Trail, as I am more than aware that this is not the first time these morons have exposed the entire community to deadly risks. I bet these same idiots who kept us from knowing about the attack, told THEIR families to be safe~! Of course, the local "bird cage liner" of the Peninsula Daily News intentionally failed to mention a single word about it, until a Seattle news outlet broke the news~! Now, some 4 months later, after exposing countless local residents and tourists visiting our community who used that trail to risks that they were kept from knowing about, we finally learned about it over the past few days~! Protect and serve? Local news outlets that inform us about important matters? HA~! Nuts~! This sure does make me wonder exactly what else these fools are hiding from us~! I do hope that the good folks of our community remember this conspiracy to deprive us of the news that helps us and our friends & family stay safe, the next time the local newspaper and/or the police are again begging for more & more money~! I have always supported the GOOD police; however, we very clearly need to remove the police managers and everyone else who played a role in keeping the good folks of our community in the dark about these very serious attacks~! I remember when the news came out that our local news outlets had been sold to a Canadian company and that was clearly a "red flag" warning that our local media was definitely NOT going to improve~! The one thing that we definitely do not need, is having our news constantly controlled by a foreign company and/or country~!!! Maybe we should demand that ALL radio, print, and TV stations within the US remain under the strict ownership and control of AMERICAN people~? Ya think~? We should also prohibit our media and news outlets from being "collected" by mega companies and/or Individuals, because Americans are FAR better off when there is diversity in the news and media programming~!!! What ever happened to "The Sherman Anti-Trust Act"~? Anyway, great work as usual for The Watchdog and it is encouraging to see that "we" are revealing things that the nefarious criminally minded clown show doesn't want folks to know about~! Blessed - Cursed, I suppose it all depends upon an Individuals perspective my wonderful friend~! I just try to use them for Goodness rather than for evil~! (Get Smart ;-) HA~! We have been in this wonderful community for about 16 years now, and I have never seen much value in the PDN, but I have only been a formal member of "The Press" for about 25 years now... So, aside from a little value that the PDN once had for the classified ad section, which has been all but eliminated now, the only value that I ever got from that publication was to actually line my African Grey parrots bird cage with it! True story! Without sounding too complimentary, although in this specific case I don't believe that could be possible, Jeff Tozzer's "Clallam County Watchdog" has regularly proven to have been a FAR superior source of local news than all of the local print and radio media combined since I have been aware of the Watchdog publications~! I am not the least bit surprised at the reports that The Watchdog has been seeing many new subscribers because the efforts are that superior to any others... Should the "Sequim Gazuntite" or The Peninsula Daily News FINALLY go the way of the rest of the failed "dodo bird" fake news media, we here fully intend to approach Jeff Tozzer to see if he would be interested in stepping up his game to become a more established formal local media outlet~! Possibly with a radio station link ;-) Local TV and/or Internet video news is also always another possibility... We are open to many possible variations of that as a legit business model in the way that God made "The Free Press"~! HA~! The future is ours to design and create my friend~! Have a great day and new week~! Sincerely, Mike

Ahoy, wonderful Patriot Susan C Bonallo~!

HA~! Your suggestion is absolutely brilliant~! For most of my life I absolutely LOVED to visit the Pacific Northwest (and many other destinations) for not only the obvious reasons, but I always enjoyed turning on the TV in the motel & hotel rooms to get the really local news that was rich with specific information of every state and especially the smaller local towns,, and communities cities~! You always used to know that you were watching REAL local TV when the commercials were mostly on local businesses like hotels, car dealerships, real estate companies, retail shops, activity businesses like fishing & sightseeing boats, ongoing community events, etc... As ALL of the major TV & radio companies were "collected" by the criminals of humanity about 20 years ago or so, now all we get is national BS with zero real local community information of any real value. Hopefully most people can now understand how that was done specifically to very intentionally disenfranchise ALL local communities, specifically to conceal, hide, control, and be able to completely ignore all of the local issues that every community of folks REALLY need to be focused upon. It is SO glaringly bad now, that all we get on TV is the same "canned" national & international news garbage (fake news), with very little if any local news, and of course national advertising campaigns of businesses that often don't even exist anywhere near many of the communities that are constantly flooded with their ads & commercials. Intentionally dysfunctional is a gross understatement~! So, you have the perfect solution to reintroduce at least one local TV and hopefully one radio station in Clallam County that specifically caters to those of us who live here and those who travel here who need specific information about our local issues and what we here as a community offer day by day~! The political & related government news and issues are of course a critical aspect of this concept, however being able to easily get the word out on festivals, farmer's markets, concerts, and all sorts of other specific activities from one dependable source would be a "no brainer" that would be VERY welcomed~! It is flat out stupid to have to get our information on upcoming events in our own community from limited electronic highway signs, one or two banners over a road or two, and when the local so-called "news outlets" decide that they want to even bother tell folks about what is going on in our community (and we definitely can't count on that~! ;-) Ha! We have lived here for many years, and I can't tell you how many times that we have completely missed a festival or other community event that we may have wanted to attend, just because there was NO real effort or dependable place to learn about it whatsoever~! Hopefully, we have learned that our community needs a dependable source of information for all to easily access to get need-to-know news~! Thanks to Jeff Tozzer and everyone contributing to it we have The Clallam County Watchdog, but we definitely need to keep supporting and expanding upon that excellent effort~! Sincerely, Mike

And people wonder why concealed pistol permits are through the roof...

Expand full comment
Michael Heath's avatar

Hello, Patriot Lawrence Martin~!

Well, as an old American Constitutionalist I am of course fiercely protective of America and all Americans because folks like us do see a great many VERY serious risks, so I am probably not what would be called an "average American". I could not be too sure how many Americans fell for the 9/11 false flag attack however after the obvious COVID & deadly fake "vaccine" BS began it was quickly apparent that there really are a lot of less Intelligent Americans, so I would expect that in that pitiful group there would be some who "wonder why concealed pistol permits are through the roof" as you so accurately stated. Obviously, the 9/11 attacks and the COVID & fake "vaccine" mass murder genocide could NEVER have happened unless our own governmental system had been turned against "us", so I did monitor very large numbers of concealed pistol permits being processed for the past 24 years based upon large numbers of Americans realizing at some level that there was a serious problem. The low intelligence and/or completely insane Americans may actually be unaware of, or not care about, the MASSIVE number of criminal illegal aliens that have swarmed into the US during the previous administration, however I suspect that many Americans do see that for the absolutely deadly risk that it is. In some parts of the US, the criminal illegal alien problems are more obvious than in others, so some Americans are paying a terrible price for the insanity and Ignorance of others as usual... As a professional analyst I have the number of criminal illegal aliens somewhere North of 30 MILLION who are illegally here in America, but if we count ALL of those who have not been legally here for many decades the number is significantly higher. So, I have no way to know exactly/specifically why all of the Americans are getting concealed pistol permits now, but clearly when the government structure in America is trying to kill us in oh SO many ways, that should be more than enough of a reason to be "locked & loaded" for those who place any value on their own safety and lives~! Ha! American Constitutionalists are NEVER "political" because we don't allow such divisive BS to contaminate our brains, but I will disclose that President Trump and the folks who are known as "The White Hats" (The Global Alliance) have in fact been fighting against the criminal element within our American governmental systems from the federal level all the way down to the local county and city/town levels (The Swamp), so when I refer to the treasonous people I am obviously NOT referring to them... Believe it or not, President Trump and The White Hats have been devastating "The Swamp" (criminals of humanity) via regular and irregular warfare, and the criminals are literally fighting for their very lives because they know that they now have nothing to lose. This is all the more reason to stay prepared, safe, and well-armed just in case~! Have a great evening~!

Sincerely, Mike P.S. Heads up! The US Military style signaling has been advising Americans to be aware that MANY criminal illegal aliens have been buying police, firefighter, emergency service, utility worker, as well as hospital & medical worker uniforms in very large numbers, so be aware that large numbers of these criminal illegal aliens are very clearly preparing to attack civilians as well as any American that gets into their way~! This is no joking matter~! Stay safe and vigilant~!

The definition of "loonies" definitely applies to anyone who surrenders their right to self-defense (guns), ESPECIALLY in this time of history~! HA~! Of course, we here in America have very similar problems with the criminals in our own government, but President Trump and The White Hats are without doubt thrashing them regularly. Unfortunately, we Americans do have about 20 to 30% of our own people who are certifiably insane, not including the very dangerous criminal illegal alien threats, but don't "cancel Christmas" just yet my friend~! Yes, things are probably going to get ugly in many parts of America, before things really get better, however there are a great many good things that the criminals in the media and the criminal politicians definitely don't want the average Americans to know about~! I’m sure the homeless camp fires in Oregon were no surprise. The potential, for the same problems here, is obvious. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get better forest management here. Using timber for jobs and housing makes much more sense than seeing it go up in smoke. Maybe we could actually get some of the industry back here instead of continuing to buy it from Canada.

Expand full comment
Don Beeman's avatar

Please forgive me, one of my sermons -

Some of us are tired of the same old line. We are tired of the smoke. We are tired of watching trees burn when they have so many beneficial uses. Some roads and firebreaks and a decrease in the fuel load would make a good difference and allow the elderly and disabled more opportunities to get close to nature. That would provide more support, more people with something to lose.

How many dead animals?

Wait! The forests are supposed to burn. That’s part of their plan. Notice all the fires? What did Washington State Director of Public Lands Dave Up-the-grove just do? He’s building inventory, so we can have more and bigger fires.

Very curious last name. Okay, Beeman, is it “build up the groves” or is it “burn up the groves?”

Well, my answer is, “yes!” Yes!

It’s a win-win for them either or both ways. More division, confusion, chaos, mayhem, and misery, so more people become dependent upon them. Fear and pathos have been their power tools for as long as I can remember.”

Why so many fires? What did you expect with the new grove worshippers whose idol, one of their gods, is a tree? Does this make God happy?

But there is more.

Can the air be too clean and, at the same time, less healthy?

Yes, a lot of lightning caused fires, but if man-caused, is it accidentally?

Ooh, ooh! Bloomberg, and Gates. Uh, oh!

So largest land owner not planting trees while so many are burning. Hmmm.

Is it true that 19% of residential property is owned by corporations? How much by foreigners? Are those shares increasing?

Oprah and Bill looking for some cheap real estate too? What about Bloomberg?

Ah, yes! “Bloomberg Cities” (“15 minute cities”) and “Rapid Urbanization.” It’s all beginning to make sense.

Are they trying to force and scare people to concentrate in cities, concrete and steel ones, large ones, not small, not wooden like Lahaina and Paradise? What is happening to homeowner’s fire insurance? Are rising rates preventing home ownership?

Burn more wood. The earth is counting on you. (Radiant heat is best).

Have forest and wild fires always been a mechanism for cooling the earth? After a long hot spell with everything tinder dry, are fires likely? Do particulates in smoke shade the earth from the intense rays of the sun and provide help for moisture in the air to form droplets of rain?

When man arrived and cooked and heated with fire was there less need for forest and wildfires? With the use of the internal combustion engine without catalytic converters imitating natural combustion, were there even less fires?

Besides poor management, are we witnessing something else?

Seems like fighting forest fires and wildfires has become big business just like homelessness, behavioral and mental health, and pharma.

Hmmm?

What if there were a connection?

Haven’t you heard, “Deforestation, Deforestation, Deforestation!!!”

So why are there more forest fires?

Or are there?

“Cue the forest fires! Release the arsonists! It’s too hot too fast too soon! Quick before people realize what we have done!” (Is this what “chemtrails” are for also? “We cleaned the air too much. Now we must dirty it.”).

Sun’s out. Almost seems like with a vengeance.

Does it feel searing to you? Too searing?

It does to me. What’s more, it’s what I expected when we decided we needed to clean the air by incinerating Carbon Monoxide and particulates into Carbon Dioxide, CO2, and much smaller particulates.

Do smaller particulates let more of the sun’s rays through? This behavior is not something claimed for CO2 even by the most rabid members of the climate cult. The temperature is supposed to slowly ratchet up not jump up. That’s not according to “plan.”

Were we designed by God to handle large particulates? What are nose hairs, cilia, and mucous for? Does higher CO2 dry up mucous faster? Are finer particles able to avoid nose hairs and cilia while more CO2 makes us breathe deeper? (CO2 is what makes us pant and is known as a “cerebral vasodilator).

Have there been more respiratory problems since hotter running engines with catalytic converters were forced on us, Y/N?

Why didn’t God put catalytic converters on fire? What are the advantages of Carbon Monoxide? It was made the bogeyman to force emissions change. Did you get to vote on that?

If our wannabe masters are aware of this, would they want more forest fires to burn and to burn longer to offset this so we don’t notice and to keep this from causing too much heating?

Are larger particulates more helpful in causing rain?

What is the cattle prod used to force us to endure the medical, mental, and behavioral damage caused by excessive exhaled CO2 in tighter homes, schools, etc. with poor ventilation?

Something untoward is happening. Does the sun seem searing? (Are we at the peak of the current sun spot cycle? Is it a strong one? Imagine! The sun might be playing a role!).

But, thinking of all the fires, is there a cost for “clean” air?

What would the cooling effect be without emissions change of monoxide and particles into dioxide and smaller particles?

BTW, what is the monoxide cycle? How much of the combustion of forests results in monoxide? Big particles?

Some 10 years after emissions change was forced on us, the hole in the ozone was discovered. Ever compare the molecular weights of monoxide and dioxide? Is it important? How about monoxide and a chlorofluorocarbon molecule? All gases disperse, some more slowly because of molecular weight. What gases are more likely to reach the ozone layer? Will gravity hamper heavier ones? Why can hydrogen and helium escape into space? Is the ozone still depleted without monoxide? (Thus, the need for more fires).

Do you recall California claiming in the 1990s that monoxide was causing “ground level ozone?” That was a lie because less monoxide was being made, but is there a process?

CO2 is irrelevant in warming.

The same day I read about the hiting of the highly left-wing, and pricey, new head of the Trails Coalition, I recevied a fundaraising letter from them asking for donations so they could "keep up the important work." An amazing coincidence, no? Made good food for the shredder ...

Wow.

We are kept in the dark.

Makes me “think” the discovery trail is more than just a “hiking trail”.

Anyone hear of the “Darian Gap”?

Look it up.. see the similarities?

If *Bodies & *Supplies were going to come into WA State.. they could move about freely throughout the discovery trail.

My sons car was broken into while he and my 2 year-old granddaughter were hiking.

Only to come back to a shattered window and items taken.

The Sheriff’s office found most of the stolen goods.

Get this, they “The Sheriff” department, came to our house to return the property.

Now hold the phone… 💥

Why, I repeat Why, did he not have to go to the Sheriff or Police department to “Identify” his *alleged belongings!???

Some items were not his that were placed in the back pack.

There was another item stolen that was later recovered.

A smashed window and fear factor is what my son and his small daughter had to endure.

There was another car simultaneously broken into at the same time.

I think the Discovery Trail… well, perhaps there is something more to it.

💥

I am up for a part in the Strategy department.

Sign me up Tozzer.

PS.

Jeff, I flippen spaced out yesterday, I did not set my alarm on my phone, and FAILED turning into the radio!!!!😩

Pleassseeee, will you post it in here?

I cant find it anywhere.

Teresa, I too was unable able to hear Jeff on the radio yesterday. I was going to ask the same thing. Jeff, can you please post on CCWD a replay of your radio debut? Thank you.

I sure will. They're going to get me a copy minus the music which is under copyright. They just have to edit it down and then I will have it and get it to you!

I remembered.

My top 3: #1. Christine McVie, Fleetwood Mac, “Everywhere.” #2. Disco Ethel Merman, “There’s no business like show business.” Reminded me of my maternal grandparents. #3. Cher, “if I could turn back time.” Great song. Just don’t like Cher as much as I once did.

Hope you get a permanent gig on KSQM, Jeff.

Excellent Jeff!

Is there a recording of the KSQM interview? I would love to hear it, if so.

As for the rest, let me put on my cynic hat for a moment: Could the local poly-tic-ians be intentionally inviting disasters, so they can justify more semi-accountable money from the Federal and State governments. You know the kind of money-- the kind that gets diverted to other-than-earmarked pet causes and pockets? Nah, it couldn't be.

And if dangers keep rising, we will all be forced to arm ourselves. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Lastly, when PDN goes under, please consider making a bid for it. I am sure you readers will contribute toward it and your exposés will then reach many more.

Fisher would be subject to electronic home monitoring, with exceptions for work, medical visits, church, and grocery shopping. --- Yeah not one of these apply to Aaron. Keep him locked up. The only place he belongs for the safety of the rest of us. Which he has proven many times over.

Jeff, your analogy of likening county politics to an airplane crash (regardless of how snarky) made me laugh out loud. Sad, but true. Every time I hear of an NGO CEO making a 6 digit salary, I can’t help but think ‘money laundering’, and also Bell,California, who’s government representatives paid themselves hundreds of thousands of dollars while the residents weeent paying attention - $800,000 to their mayor. Thank you for trying to wake citizens up (hope it’s working). So many of us are old, trusting, or asleep at the wheel. Keep up the good work.

Also. Keep the drug and homeless stories out front. We can pity these people without financially supporting them.

Clallam County has been hoodwinked and shamed into throwing money at a situation that will not help Clallam County homeowners or business owners.

We are not big like Seattle, Tacoma, or Olympia. We don’t have their tax base. The large metropolitan areas need to provide services for drug abusers and the homeless, if Washington keeps inviting them to our state.

Clallam County needs to decide whether we want to be a magnate for tourism and profits, or if we want to be dragged down to the level of the many homeless who aren’t from our county, but are lured here by services. We need fewer, not more services for people in need. If our churches wish to distribute food and clothes to people in need, that is where those services should come from. The county budget is stretched thin, and needs to be lean. Instead our leaders are throwing money at the homeless problem as if it is their own money, which it is not.

I know that is going to sound ‘mean’, but we need to be smart about who we invite into our county. That is not mean. It is smart.

So what is wrong with Clallam County? Gee , a murderer just had his bond reduced and could go on house arrest? WTF? Did you see how quickly someone can die ?(Charlie Kirk) guns are easy to get. Just saying.

Then the Seabrook/Westbay starring Casey Roloff. Who warned everyone about this snake developer, oh yes that was me. Starting about 2-3 years ago.

Even handed out pictures of Seabrook at a public meeting that was held in a Casino room, )

to visualize the houses of horror coming to a waterfront nearby

Jeff you sure do know how to give your followers a choice of what goes wrong here. Why would a killer not be in jail for the rest of his life?

He will probably turn in to a real fine citizen and give back to all that enjoy the Peninsula. PDN- so cutting edge, it will even burn in your fire pit when wet. Did you know that newspapers are printed with really cheap ink that doesn’t fully cure. Reading one, you will need a shower afterwards, for so many reasons.

Jeff one of your Pod casts last week had me laughing. You were ad libing your own written report.

And I always appreciate the pause to rat out typos. It’s hard to read your own stuff out loud bc our brains are faster than writing and things slide by. We appreciate you so much.

Trail attack hidden from the public: I am wondering why this trail user was out at 4am. Weird time of morning, given that the sunrise for that day was at 5:26am. It may have been a little light by 4:30am, but awfully dark at 4am, surely. People need to be careful about using these public places in the middle of the night or early hours, when it's dark. The "safety tips" might be good for daytime users, but... why risk going at night/in the dark? Common sense wasn't being used, here.

The Olympic Discovery Trail’s new boss: "$98,000–$110,000 salary"? And they dare to ask for donations from people? This should be volunteer work, or minimally compensated. This a non-profit organization. Someone is profiting, all right!

Homeless camps: Jefferson closes, Clallam could expand: Yeah? Keep it up, Clallam. Your tax-paying citizens will move away. I plan to. This place sucks! At least over in Snoqualmie (and KC sucks worse) I have no one living in tents in the streets. These encampments are being removed. They, and P.T., have the right idea.

Lessons from Oregon’s wildfires: "Despite overwhelming evidence that homeless camps were fueling repeated fires, progressive officials dismissed the warnings, preferring to blame climate change." Well, of course they did. However, all of the homeowner's insurance claims may differ in opinion when the fires get investigated. The fire department investigators: Are they backing the officials? Or are they telling it like it is? If the encampment was to blame, then the homeowners can get their claims, but if it's "climate change" (or "an act of god") how does that play into their claim? It would be interesting to see what the fire chief had to say.

Great job, Jeff! And congratulations on the KSQM spot! :)

From the linked article: "Regardless of whether it’s determined that a homeless man did this or a squatter, it doesn’t really matter." Would it matter if this fire was started by an arsonist or someone tossing a cigarette out their car window? I'm guessing they'd be going after that person. Talk about a double standard.

His assertion is that it's one, or the other. That's what his investigation shows and he couples this with the pushback he's getting from elected officials won't hear of it, and even going to the point of calling homeless people "off-the-grid neighborhood." More trickery from elected officials and activists who refuse to acknowledge realities. That's the bigger message, IMO.
