As a fisherman, primarily in rivers, river flow levels matter. Outside of that interest, I see no value in monitoring flow levels. There is no reservoir to possibly supplement low flows, so why monitor the flow levels of the Dungeness River ? The concept of climate control is homocentricity run amok. Prior to human influence our planet has experienced many climate extremes. Now humans are going to control climate ? Even if human effectuated climate control was a possibility, the priorities should be volcanoes and solar flares. I am positive that our Government needs no more money, as long as it has social engineering, ( DEI, MWBE, LGBTQ+, etc. ), and the arts as expenses. Government exist to provide infrastructure, safety and economic opportunity. Private interests like NGOs, churches, philanthropic organizations, etc. exist to promote social interests and the arts; NOT GOVERNMENT. Government does not exist to take your money and then choose your social interests and art forms for you.

Excellent comment Patriot Gary Blankenship~!

Unfortunately, too many generations of Americans have been tricked into allowing the government to rob us of our hard-earned monies so that the government could grow and expand in ways that the vast majority never approved. The many criminals in government are all too happy to find even more ways to "fleece" the American people and when the globalist criminal cabal developed their fake science "climate change" scheme they found willing fools within all government operations who were more than happy to jump on that cash train. In the 70's it was "global cooling" and their fake science proved to be dead wrong as the climate actually slightly warmed. Then years later the criminals pulled the "climate warming" fake science and that failed miserably because there was actually a small drop in climate temperature at that time, Then, in more recent years, the evil globalists got tired of being dead wrong every time, so they devised the "climate change" fake science BS where regardless of what the climate did, the globalists could of course lie and say that they were FINALLY right! HA~! Recently, one of these treasonous criminals of humanity scumbags who was publicly pushing the globalist "climate change" fraud, was asked just how much the TRILLIONS of dollars that he and his globalist puppeteers were attempting to steal would actually change the climate? and he had absolutely no answer for that at all~! He looked stunned, as if he never even considered that absolutely critical need-to-know question, which of course immediately revealed the fact that these fake science criminals are nothing more than scam artist thieves and the worst kind of criminals of humanity who obviously know that tricking idiots into shoveling vast amounts of money into a "fake problem" is a never-ending cash cow for them to grow their numbers and power over the entire world~! Of course, the climate of the earth constantly changes, it always has, and sometimes the earth is in natural cooling or natural warming cycle because that has been the history of this planet for MANY millions of years before humans were ever here. If there were suddenly no humans here on earth, the climate would still keep changing because that is what it does naturally... Even the REAL scientists can't honestly determine humans' impact on the climate, because the % is SO low it is well within the margin of error and therefore COMPLETELY irrelevant~! I believe that you do understand these simple facts from your excellent comment here, but it is truly astounding how many people STILL believe the same governments and criminal fake news media that pushed the STILL ongoing COVID scam~! The poor low Intelligence crowd that has been tricked into believing the fraudulent globalist "climate change" hysteria just don't have the ability to even consider the real science and worse, they can't see that it is all a complete scam to steal everyone's money, wealth, property, rights, and of course freedoms~! Lastly, these evil globalists have long planned their ultimate goal of reducing the population of the entire planet from about 8 BILLION people to approximately 500,000 (five hundred thousand) humans~! See; "The Georgia Guidestones". I am not sure that many people understand very basic math, but the criminal globalists have been saying that they fully intend to kill off something like 7.5 BILLION humans in the not-so-distant future~! Anyone who doubts that at this time in history, especially after the mass murder genocide of COVID and the dangerous and deadly fake "vaccines", is playing right into the hands of the globalist criminals of humanity~! I hope that you are enjoying some good fishing this year~! Sincerely, Mike

Thank you for the good morning laugh, Jennifer R. And Jeff, the Will Roger's quote is spot on even all these decades later. The updates are appreciated because there is so much to consider that it's easy to forget everything this small county with big city problems is going thru. CC should not have these serious crimes and circumstances. When voting, remember who created these problems, who benefits, who prospers, and who does not care about the negative consequences to his/her constituents and citizens. We are in this mess because corrupt people desire the chaos and turmoil. Jeff, Jake, and John, all thru CCWD, have been the antidote to counter the corruption. We can pay our debt to them by passing on the information and participating however we can in turning our County around in the right direction. We are Clallam County.

HEY OPNET- the PA Safeway dope deal video is just one example of what goes on there in the parking lot every day of the week, moreso on Tuesday and Friday harm production distribution days. The male standing in the video is likely just a salesman either picking up from or delivering to the person in the car. The pattern is distributor will park in the NE or NW corner of the Safeway lot, often with cloth or carboard covering driver window or half open door, and foot soldiers working the parking lot will go back and forth across the parking lot to distribution points (3rd st health dept on weekends, Laurel and 4th near back corner of store, Veteran's bellpark, area between bushes and east side of Safeway bldg) or stand at the exit panhandling and distributing simultaneously. Sometimes the dealer parks right on 3rd in front of the store. Users on foot typically go to the health dept lot, the bell, the alley behind safeway or disappear into the bushes of the judge's orange flop house. This same pattern was occuring during all the events Saturday, with dealers and users only seeming slightly irritated at the presence of crowds.

A large portion of county and city expenses goes to narcotic related activity and homelessness related to narcotics. Most crimes in PA have a nexus to narcotics many other west coast cities that previously embraced harm reduction are reversing course and helping people rebuild lives, yet our leaders have dug in their heels and made us a magnet for this destruction and despair. Wait tilthe Port Townsend encampment shut down in a few days, where do you suppose they will send the folks who have refused services?

PENINSULA DAILY NEWS February 16, 2021 by Matthew Nash ….Judge Brent Basden of Clallam County Superior Court dismissed the Save Our Sequim (SOS) Land Use Petition Act (LUPA) appeal of the clinic’s application, writing last Wednesday that the “court concludes that SOS does not have standing to file this LUPA petition.” ...

Basden RECOGNIZED SOS’S 2,600 MEMBERS, writing that, “there is no doubt that A LARGE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS in the Sequim community support and advocate for the position that (the) Tribe’s clinic should not be located as planned.”...

Basden wrote that SOS relies upon generalized comments and CONCERNS SUCH AS LOITERING, DRUG USE and LITTERING and more as a result of the facility going in, and that “unsworn testimony in a public hearing, or arguments or statements contained in news reports, about HYPOTHETICAL OR CONJECTURAL HARM, IS NOT COMPETENT TESTIMONY”...

“The most disappointing thing to the tribe is that, in all the good things they’ve done in health care, why would it do ANYTHING TO HURT THE LANDS?”...

“It is time to put aside the divisiveness. A STATE-OF-ART MEDICAL FACILITY WILL NOT RUIN SEQUIM. Divisiveness and stigmatization of others will.” ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 19th, 2025

Port Ludlow, WA-While on patrol, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant located a vehicle traveling more than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was attempted, but the driver failed to stop until he reached his driveway. Commands were given to the driver who did not cooperate and resisted arrest. Pepper spray was released in an attempt to subdue the driver, but he was able to make it into his house.

Shortly thereafter neighbors called 9-1-1 and advised that the suspect was walking through their back yard with a shotgun. Containment was established with the assistance of the Port Townsend Police Department and Washington State Patrol. The suspect then called 9-1-1, and with their technology and the use of drones, the driver was located in a heavily wooded area. The Peninsula Crisis Response team, along with K-9’s from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office and the Port Angeles Police Department, converged on the driver and were able to safely take him into custody and he has been booked in the Jefferson County Jail. The shotgun was recovered.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the agencies who assisted in a safe resolution.

Re: drug sales at the Courthouse.

Two years ago I was coming out of the Safeway at Lincoln and 3rd St. Across the parking lot, seated on the curb along 3rd St., were 3-4 young men. Sleeves were rolled up, one had a tourniquet on his arm and and a needle and syringe in his vein. As I got into my car and drove away I watched as they passed around the tourniquet and syringe. They were injecting drugs within 100 yards and clear sight of the Courthouse. PA is getting more and more like Seattle every day.

Re: gas prices.

The last time I looked WA has the third highest price per gallon in the nation, after CA and HI. Not great company to be keeping. Of course, the gas taxes are paying to stop climate change. China is building one or two new coal fired plants a week, but, the residents of WA (about 0.1% of the world's population) are going to single handedly stop climate change. If only we would just agree to maybe another $1/gallon tax, I am sure the air would clear, CO2 levels would drop and climate change would cease once and for all. /sarc

Re: climate change. Several years ago, before the day lodge on Hurricane Ridge burned down, I watched a video there about the geology of the region. It explained that about 15,000 years ago the area was covered in vast ice sheets and the tops of the mountain peaks were just islands in a sea of ice. PA was under 3,000 feet of ice. Then the ice began to melt and retreat to the north. Today you have to travel hundreds of miles to the north into Canada or Alaska to find small remnants of those ice sheets. Now that's what I call climate change. Somehow that all happened before the first oil well was drilled,. Before the first steam or internal combustion engine. Before the first SUV.

That’s right. It was the end of the last ice age. It is very readable to geologist and we have had many cooling and warming episodes on the planet that is 4.5 billion years old. last night CCSO posted regarding 7 missing children who were in a vehicle when a stabbing occurred and victim was dumped. They turned off comments after the 2 suspect parents were apprehended in Kitsap. What they failed to mention is one of the suspects had been booked and released in Clallam just hours before this incident and released by prosecutor. What is wrong with the prosecutor here? Now 7 children have been seriously endangered and traumatized. Why does the prosecutor release so many dangerous criminals?? none of the local news are admitting that suspect was booked on unlawful possession of dangerous weapon earlier in the day in addition to the driving charges, and after two disturbance calls. Why would the prosecutor release him on the weapons charge so fast after the disturbance calls? Why did KONP leave out that fact in their story (with no byline) when it is easy available on the roster? covering up for criminals and the prosecutor too now?
