I feel like we Taxpayers are again and again asked to pay for Tribal related Reparations. This type of hide and seek Taxation is NOT representative taxation. If that's what our lame and Leftest ideologue leadership wants to lay upon the public, then,.damn-it, put it on a ballot! These other wealth distribution fees, example $99 for housing, well, where and the hell are those funds going? Perhaps we need a Howard Jarvis style tax revolt!
We, too, enjoyed being able to put the face with a name at the fair. My wife and i stopped by Jeff's booth at the fair to express our thanks for his efforts to keep us all informed as to the goings on in our county. Thank you again, Jeff. We're lucky to have you keeping an eye on the County's local leaders and keeping us informed. Now its up to us to take action at the upcoming election!
I stopped by a few times on two different days and was struck by the traffic Jeff's tent received. I mostly listened because of how busy it was and heard gratitude and hope as the prevalent themes citizens were voicing.
Its time for Ozias to step up and be a man and explain his actions. What's the matter Mark, are you scared??? Or do you just think you are better than everyone else?? And vote no for Steiger for council. He has basically doubled the prices for goods in his stores while claiming affordability!!! If that says anything it tells you he will do the same to us citizens with more taxes.
Greg O, I have been waiting for Ozias to realize people are sick of a superior attitude. The definition below, reflects what I see going on within our Clallam County leaders:
The term "good ole boys club" typically refers to an informal system within some work environments that upholds a particular group's socioeconomic and professional dominance — often white males — based on shared social characteristics rather than merit or qualifications. Examples of this can include what college you went to, what fraternity or club you belong to, and who you know and are connected to. This culture can perpetuate inequality, foster discrimination, and lead to a toxic workplace environment. A substantial discussion of its negative impact is essential to understanding why it's crucial to dismantle such networks.
You are 100% correct that the term "The good ol boys club" CAN definitely be used to well describe the "rotten evil underhanded underbelly" that exists in all communities in America, to violate The American Constitution to enrich and support the few against the best interests of the many. I have actually recently written a professional article on this very subject and how it commonly and ruthlessly keeps good folks from engaging in free market business activities. This is NOT the entire picture however, because every community in America also has what I often call "The good ol boys AND girls club" that specifically describes the best men & women in the community who are always working (networking) together to improve/counter the negative ramifications and dirty dealings of the "evil restrictive and highly oppressive good ol boys club"~! The classic difference is between good VS evil and that has always existed throughout our society, so it would be best not to allow ourselves to be "triggered" by the similar words/description. A very good example of this can be found in the Masonic "clubs" themselves, where there are always the rotten apples who enter the Masonic order for personal gain and power within the community, as opposed to the great folks who become Masons to very honestly help the community (most of the time anonymously without any personal rewards whatsoever). So "we" can't ever honestly expect that "dismantling" the rotten apples underhanded activities will even be possible, or lawfully Constitutional, especially without harming the efforts of the truly good folks who are really working to help the community. Ironically, by the/my definition of "The good ol boys and girls club" (as a magnificently positive & absolutely critical network of folks), you yourself would very likely be in that Goodley group~! Ha! Ironic huh? Oh, and for the same reason that I usually avoid using the grossly ignorant term; "The Founding Fathers" when describing the folks who first put America on the map, I try to make an effort to more accurately describe those good folks as "The Founding Fathers and Mothers" because doing otherwise is a grossly Ignorant myopic view of all of those folks who founded America not all that long ago~! It is very true that no women/mothers actually signed Americas' founding documents, however it would be historically inaccurate to discount their efforts and contributions. George Washington was actually married to one of the most wealthy and powerful women in "The Colonies" (a blood relative of King George) and you can bet that Martha Washington was a very powerful woman who should be considered a founder of America~! It could be no other way ;-) You do make an excellent point to understand how the rotten apples operate within America, but we must always be extremely careful not to harm the good Americans because of the ugly things that the few do~! Have a great day~!
You just reminded me of the famous George Carlin when he did the routine "There's a club and you're not in it"~! Depending upon how much an Individual knew back then, that "joke" could mean a LOT of different things~! Yes, I/we here have been tracking the reports about human slavery for over 5 years now, and especially the crimes against women & children. I have been an accomplished analyst for many decades, and I always knew human slavery must have still been ongoing because it is very old and those things never end when they become part of the human experience. I have to admit that I never saw any evidence that it was here in America and as large scale as "we" have been hearing about. The DUMB's and tunnels with maglev trains unfortunately give the reports of mass human slavery credibility, and that would/could explain the absence of evidence and information about human slavery & trafficking. Everything that I/we have been tracking seems to support the horrific reports, including why this worldwide military operation is taking so long... Of course, America and the entire world have very serious problems, but I/we are very encouraged by what we are tracking so far. One of the things that I am absolutely sure of is that "we" (The Patriots) have no other option but to win this oldest of wars regardless of the reports of the horrors involving crimes against humanity. Ha! Once the criminals of humanity started to conduct another mass murder genocide with their planned COVID & deadly fake "vaccines" humanity was forced to COMPLETELY destroy the criminals of humanity. This is being accomplished step by step and "we" are doing what no other generations in history have ever been able to accomplish... Hang in there and stay safe~! Sincerely, Mike
He's not a 'real' man...only male...mind-controlled NWO agent...follow the trail of NGO's and NPO's all the way to the U.N. Agenda 21+++, W.E.F., etc!
He is an 'infiltraitor' and saboteur of our gov't systems, not a "County" commissioner at all but a NWO Kommissar! Wakey, wakey!😊 "By their fruits ye shall know them."😎
So many things to address, but I would like to add some comments to the "disorder on the streets". I retired from LE after 25 years. After seeing the post in the article about how the woman wasn't sure about calling or thought nothing would be done, please call. I saw another post on FB about someone seeing a couple trying cars doors and looking into cars at QFC and said they had it on video. My first reaction, call the police! The police might have been close by and perhaps could have found these two people and "FI" them, field interview, get names etc, into a database which many times can be used to help solve other crimes. If we don't report what we see suspicious the police won't know, we can be their eyes. I worked during the years of COPS, community oriented policing. We were required on patrol, to get out of our patrol vehicles and make contact with business owners, walk around the stores, business, have a lot of exposure to the public and this was in addition to a very, very busy area I worked (in another state) with heavy gangs, drugs and a cartel operation. It was mandatory we were very visible to the public. I cannot speak for the department here, but I can say, I've never seen any of that here in town and it would be nice. Granted the patrol staff is small, looking at their organizational chart and there were just over 11,000 calls for service in 2024, with a breakdown for the categories. In the 14 years I have been here, I have seen the uptick in crime and suspicious activity. No matter how minor it seems to you, please report. I've had small thefts at my house, I reported. My neighbor has had his mail stolen twice. He reported and the police in Seattle happened upon his mail on a traffic stop. Another neighbor had a baggie of white powder in his driveway, he reported it. Please call, report suspicious activity, if we don't report what we see the police will never know and their crime stats at year end won't show the true suspicious/criminal activity.
The reporting just becomes 'stats'. We had an incident just a few months ago with a camp trailer abandonment and the sheriff's ofc. apparently didn't even get contact info with the FI and a Good Samaritan apparently disappeared the abandoned trlr. several days (weeks?) later.
I'm not saying don't report but don't expect much response...the sheriff can't even provide security for the county courthouse...private security for the public domain!
It's not going to get better! The gov't and tribe are spending hundreds of millions on high end treatment facilities and now an in-house treatment 'hospital' facility and importing druggies and all the criminal behavior that goes with it...Crime DOES pay! Big bucks!🙀
NOI, my stomach turned too. Every question and the available list had me thinking "How is my answer going to be interpreted?" You are correct, ...HOW WILL THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT USE THIS TO THEIR BENEFIT? And they will.
The takeover by land, sea and sky….below is an outline of expansions, funded by us, for Indian country. I don’t know where this is going, but I don’t have a good feeling about IT. Jamestown Tribe is way ahead of the deadline, they started application in 2022. It is listed below the Native Business News article below:
Native Business News Aug 19, 2025 By Chez Oxendine
Tribal renewable energy projects face a new deadline: spend millions of dollars on construction by early September or lose federal tax credits that can COVER UP TO 70% OF PROJECT COST.
New guidance issued by the Internal Revenue Service on Friday has eliminated a key option that allowed tribes to qualify for the credits by spending just 5% of a project’s cost by Sept. 2. Now, larger projects must begin physical construction to remain eligible.
“The most important word to get out to Indian Country regarding the guidance is for any projects larger than 1.5 MW, if it’s going to qualify for the (tax credits) under the 5% test, they have to achieve that within the next couple of weeks,” Todd Halvorsen, head of energy finance and structuring at the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy, told Tribal Business News.
The credits at stake were created by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. The IRA modernized and bolstered existing energy tax credits into technology‑neutral, emissions‑based incentives and expanded their availability to tax‑exempt entities, including tribal governments. However, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 (H.R. 1) curtailed eligibility for wind and solar facilities.
The bill set a deadline of Dec. 31, 2027, for projects to be placed in service and July 5, 2026, to begin construction. Those who meet the July deadline could have four full years to put the project in service. Initially, projects could meet the construction requirement by expending 5% of the project cost using a so-called “safe harbor option” for those who couldn't begin physical construction quickly.
WHERE IS THIS LEADING TO? THE TRIBE HAS BEEN WORKING ON THIS SINCE 2022 (see below)
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory provided technical assistance to the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe (JST), a federally recognized sovereign Tribal Nation located on the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, to support THEIR PLANNED TRANSITION TO LOW-CARBON ENERGY. As part of this effort, PNNL provided information about multiple low-carbon energy options AVAILABLE to JST in their local area of interest, including solar photovoltaic, land-based wind, geothermal, marine energy, and biomass cogeneration options. This included a list of valuable resources and references related to each energy option, detailed on the individual pages of this site. Learn more:
"If a property with a $5,000 annual tax bill becomes trust land, that’s $5,000 gone from county and state budgets — effectively a silent subsidy to a sovereign nation. Multiply that across all tribal trust land in Clallam County, and you’re looking at millions that are never reported on the financial statements of a multi-million-dollar corporation. At what point does this become unsustainable for local taxpayers?"
Soooo.....If Elon offered to locate one of his companies here for the same tax deal the "Blue People" would call it corporate welfare.
Thank you again for showing the people behind the curtain. An "Art Tax" seriously. I cant afford to attend these community events but I will have to pay for them. I feel more smothered every day by all these taxes. I am literally being taxed right out of my house. The taxes, bonds, levy, etc are creeping up so fast my mortgage is underwater. I was at the county fair and they had a survey at the republicans booth. It was place a dot on the area that would help you the most. I got a dot and walked to the survey board. The choices were Lower Taxes, affordable housing, living wage. I cant remember the other two choices. Commissioner Johnson was standing there next to the survey board. The overwhelming winner on the survey board was lower taxes it had triple the votes of any other choice. As I placed my dot on the lower taxes option on the survey I got Commissioner Johnson attention and said "Pay attention to what people are telling you. No more taxes, especially when you vote for the 45% increase you are discussing." He just laughed when I said that. I assure you I am not laughing. These asshats are so far off from what their constituents need. They are too busy catering to their donors and tribes.
The irony of our nationally anointed stewards of the land "Native" owned business spilling fuel into possibly the most studied river in the world because of the dam removal is thick enough to cut with a knife. The Elwah fuel spill is yet another red flag in this craziness of the never ending repayment for The Trail of Tears". I am so disappointed that our elected officials do not see and feel the hypocrisy in honoring dead people economically. The abused and their abusers no longer live. The multiple forms of donations, grants, stewardship and special rights to the progeny of those wronged changes nothing for those wronged. Why have we isolated such a small population portion of the infinite injustices endured across our population ? This inordinate reverence for the ancestry of a few is the very definition of discrimination. How much do we pay to the progeny of those killed by aboriginals ? If not, why not ? The Elwah fuel spill red flag is the disadvantaged, abused, practitioners of ancient ancestry own and operate the fuel company that made that spill and they own that fuel company under the guise of a "minority business enterprise". They also operate casinos, cars, trucks, boats, computers and cell phones. It is not possible to reconcile that with ancestral abuse. Of all those treaty tribal entitled living today no/none/"0" lived the lives we are futilely and endlessly trying to buy back. Best we just say welcome brother, rather than to endlessly provide hand outs to convince the few that they need hand outs.
Garry, could you imagine what the headlines would be if any other entity (other than Tribal) had caused the spill? That would have been milked and milked and referenced by the Tribe as more reasons they should be water stewards. Maybe that's a reason we can use to point out why they shouldn't.
Does anyone know who paid for the cleanup? Most of the damage was done before the cleanup started. All I saw from pictures was someone with a hose washing down the rocks with another person, with a smaller hose, sucking up what was probably a miniscule amount of fuel left behind. Did the Tribe profit from this cleanup?
Jennifer. This was next to my home and property. I can tell you that they were out there for over 2 weeks daily, with machine noise daily, washing and sucking up who knows what. I feel it was such a waste when this type of fuel mainly stays on top of the water
Don, all of our relatives who came to the country had some form of Trail of Tears. Every settler has a story, it's played down because for some reason Native Americans seem to have suffered "irreparable damages" and no matter how much is thrown their way, it is never enough.
I refuse to vote for ANY more taxes or fees regardless of the PR crapola that these liars and thieves in government management spew, because they themselves have proven themselves untrustworthy and at best grossly incompetent~! These Individuals in our government management structure are just like little spoiled children who constantly scream bloody murder and "cry wolf" to terrorize our local family of residents until they get their dirty hands on our money, and then they turn right around and prove that they lied to steal our money so that they can spend it on things that they never previously disclosed as their true goal. If we keep giving these destructive idiots money and power, they will keep lying to us to get more & more because all we are doing is rewarding them for their destructive anti-social, unethical, and immoral behavior~! Fair and reasonable people can't win a game against ruthless underhanded liars because that "game" is too rigged from the start~! I hope that the good folks of Clallam County can realize that they are in a criminally rigged system of government, so that they can hopefully understand the "tuff love" necessity of denying these liars and thieves the money that they are so grossly misusing to do harm to everyone here~! Cut them off and force them to abide by their oaths of office WITHOUT tolerating any cuts to the things that make this community so wonderful, like the parks and our annual County fair~! We must not allow these failed government employees to keep threatening and extorting us and our community any longer~!!!
So, maybe buying an expensive tractor for parks, to replace their hardly used one is FINALLY off the consent agenda? A girl can hope.
I'm certainly wondering about what their logic/strategy in appointing position 7 (Meyers vacant seat) will be. The chess pieces are moving around the board. (BTW I have little hope in being appointed.)
Besides Mr. Steiger, there is Jon Arakawa who is a Lower Elwha member, affiliated with many "indian nonprofits", and the person who was the main driving force FOR the STR regulations (certainly the most vocal) Ms. Cripe. Noah Brady is a substance abuse counselor. Christie Holly is a mindfulness instructor. The best choices I see are Jon Hamilton who is a math teacher (because we sure need someone on the council who can add and subtract!) and Shaun Henson (biz administration) Although I don't know anyone personally, and this is only what I could find on the web.
Its not up to anyone who the council chooses. It's their choice, we have no say -- the best any of us can do is speak up, or email, however -- do they listen? All we can do is pay attention, and make sure they "show their work" in the deliberations.
The birthplace of Marie Antoinette? How fitting. “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”. It appears that the powers that be are far more concerned with running from their own mismanagement styles and hoping that the citizens, per usual, get distracted by other things and forget that they've actually learned nothing.
I don't know if it's true but it's a good metaphor for what these sociopaths are doing...and doing to us...galavanting around the globe partying, spending hundreds of thousands to raise a few hundred thousands...maybe, while the very system is collapsing!
Psychotic! The inmates are running the asylum...and we're in it too!🤓
We really enjoyed meeting Jeff and Kirsten and putting faces to names. Great time at the fair and look forward to future meet up opportunities.
The Sequim school district raising rental prices is disturbing. $2700 to $12000? That's crazy. That could be the death nail for all the things public schools are supposed to support like extracurricular arts, sports, science, computer, club, and community programs.
I fear none of this will stop until we all say no. Dare I say we stop paying taxes in mass. Stop writing the checks.
You have a lovely family & it was a pleasure to sit w/ Jeff for several hours & get to meet so many of the great people in our community! I know I’ll treasure that little opportunity for many years. This is the place that built me, I’m not a tribal member but I consider myself a Sequim native as I was born here & have lived my whole life here. This place means something to me that’s difficult to put into words. I cannot begin to describe how comforting it was to meet people who’ve moved here later in life that have so much love for this beautiful place. I was beginning to lose hope in the humanity here until I went to the fair ❤️
I wasn’t able to make it to the fair but I have to tell you Jeff, as I was traveling with my grandson who is returning back to college. I had your podcast playing. He sat and listened to it. I explained to him what you were doing for our community and so forth. He started laughing at some of the things you were saying and told me he really liked your podcast. He has now become a listener, having downloaded your podcast for him to listen to. You have now engaged a young man who attends college in Kirkland. It makes me happy to see even the young ones are engaged with you. Keep it up. See you next Wednesday for the open space meeting, it involves some of my property so I’ll be there
I've always liked your grandson, Chris. How many times have I told you he has a good head on his shoulders? I won't be at that meeting, I'm all tied up on Wednesdays. But it doesn't mean I won't be thinking about it.
I’ll let you know how it turns out Jeff. Thanks for the praise of my grandson, he does have a good head on his shoulder. when I pass, he’ll be carrying the torch of our homestead so I’m glad he’s engaging even when he doesn’t live here yet. Grandmas not going yet 🤣🤣
Jeff, Regarding the BOCC Q&A sessions, save any questions you have for Nozias for the end of the session. The first question maybe the only one considering the way that guy BLOVIATES!!!!!
These 3 radical ignorant commissioners and supporters are following the same home recking agendas that we have seen in the big cities.Gotta get rid of these taxaholic hypocrites.

Learn more:

So they are going to piss away untold millions on make-work projects with no long term benefit! Business as usual!😜
Thanks Leo, that part of the article came right out of your comment. Thanks for engaging on the comment threads.
We are already at 'unsustainable' with the commies ruining our gov't and economy!🤓
And a belated thank you to you Jennifer. You posted an article that came in handy for today's article. You're such a terrific researcher.
Indeed. Regardless of what their ancestors were, the Tribes are now full on capitalists. Fish and shellfish farming anyone ?
Does anyone know who paid for the cleanup? Most of the damage was done before the cleanup started. All I saw from pictures was someone with a hose washing down the rocks with another person, with a smaller hose, sucking up what was probably a miniscule amount of fuel left behind. Did the Tribe profit from this cleanup?
I don't know, but that hasn't been discussed in commissioner meetings.
Hmm, that means the funds came from us. If the Tribe picked up the cost, we would have heard praise and thank you's to them.
Jennifer. This was next to my home and property. I can tell you that they were out there for over 2 weeks daily, with machine noise daily, washing and sucking up who knows what. I feel it was such a waste when this type of fuel mainly stays on top of the water
I believe the “Trail of Tears” has no relevance to local tribes. They were not hurt or abused or conquered.
I also suspect some of those tears were earned. (Consider what comes out of the mouth of a Hamas supporter these days).
Then there were the tears of the settlers before and after arrival here.
Bygones perhaps?
Agree. The Trail of Tears was metaphorical reference. An attempt to explain the cost of a misdirected National guilty conscience.
Don, all of our relatives who came to the country had some form of Trail of Tears. Every settler has a story, it's played down because for some reason Native Americans seem to have suffered "irreparable damages" and no matter how much is thrown their way, it is never enough.
We are ALL under attack with the continuing mRNA crap being put into food, water, air, etc.
The jabs didn't do as much as they wanted them too but that is still playing out...there is no post-covid...the effects are still ongoing.😎
In 100 years, AI can honor OUR collective trail of tears for being left homeless in the land our forefathers 'conquered'!😵💫
Sincerely, Mike
I am so sorry I couldn't make the fair this year (and have booth next to you!). But, I had family obligations, and a family emergency (all well now).
I regret not getting back for tonight's Port Angeles City Council meeting where there is yet another, Emergency Budget (page 69) amendment on the agenda: https://cityofpa.us/DocumentCenter/View/17382/08192025-CC-Agenda-Packet?bidId=
I'm sure they will be open, honest and transparent...as usual!🙀
The birthplace of Marie Antoinette? How fitting. “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche”. It appears that the powers that be are far more concerned with running from their own mismanagement styles and hoping that the citizens, per usual, get distracted by other things and forget that they've actually learned nothing.
Yes, “Let them eat cake!”
It’s called gaslighting
They better be careful lighting all that gas...could be dangerous!🤓
Nero fiddled while Rome burned?
Thanks for stopping by the tent with the fam. I'm so glad you all are in Clallam County!
We've learned that lesson the hard way.
OH S**T, this is disturbing. I sent an email to the city council, and it bounced back (TWICE)
I emailed to the address on the website citycouncil@cityofpa.us
This is the reply:
Address not found
Your message wasn't delivered to citycouncil@cityofpa.us because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.
So, now they don't want to hear from constituents AT ALL? Holy hell.
I emailed the city clerk... and, even though I cut/pasted the address from google (drat AI) (and had emailed there before) she informed me:
City Clerk
Hello,
The email is council@cityofpa.us.
Kari
These 3 radical ignorant commissioners and supporters are following the same home recking agendas that we have seen in the big cities.Gotta get rid of these taxaholic hypocrites.
