Constantly raising taxes can only result in one employer; Government. Government then determines who gets what in the forms of sustenance, shelter, infrastructure, safety, etc.. My recommendation is to follow the path of DOGE. Easy budget cutting low hanging fruit is anything "minority". DEI, MWBE, OMWBE, BLM, BIA, LGBTQ+ and the many more I cannot name. Using discrimination to resolve discrimination is no different than waging a war to end war. Minority status can never not be. Each of us is biologically unique, making each of us a minority of one. The amount of resources invested in dividing us into the limitless derivations of minority statuses is a staggering waste. We have even digressed into sub categories of sexual deviancy to support with taxes. Charity and/or minority status is not the business of Government. Let Government provide infrastructure and safety and let society, using the resources Government has not already taken, provide societal change. I cannot vet the recent claim that USAID was funding trans-sexual care in India, but I know I would not want my taxes supporting either that cause or that country.

Since not every one can attend every meeting, perhaps it makes sense to form a group, akin to a club or coalition. This group would help public ensure council meeting attendance and to push an agreed upon position.
One Commissioner invited me to meet with him to look at the Clallam County budget and show him where I would cut $s. When I said I would, he said he could meet me in about a month. Maybe a town hall, without pie chart and after working hours, would allow for communication between constituents and commissioners on possible places to cut spending. Just a thought.

'They' always cut where it hits the emotional response first...the things people really look forward to like fairs...now we have to pay union wages for animal shelter workers who were traditionally mostly volunteer positions with stipends to offset gas and food costs. Obviously, Mike French drew the "short straw" and got the job of deflecting the commonsense inquiry of concern, and the ol "government two step" is the best that the commissioners could come up with (again). As Mike French responded with a typical "no answer" answer, that you very well dissect, it is fair to suspect that there is obviously much more to the story as always. I would be willing to bet that the discussions that are "conceptual in nature" would be quite revealing and of FAR more interest to the fine folks of Clallam County who are being threatened, and I am sure soon extorted, with closures of their most valued parks and County fair~! Decades ago, I started to realize that all of these individuals in government management, big and small, were always using the exact same underhanded Machiavellian "carrot & stick" tactics to soften up the taxpayer to accept any tax scheme that was proposed OR to "suffer the consequences" which were more often than not closures of public parks, public restrooms, and the most beloved local events (in this case the County fair). The most interesting, and deeply concerning, common thread of these "threats" is that they actually forward the dastardly agenda of continuing to intentionally fracture our communities by preventing use of the public parks and gathering places, like the County fairs are so well known for. I understand that many don't visit the County fairs, however the majority of those who so highly value the community building social interactions that are SO critical to any good & functional community~! When the proven pre-planned mass murder COVID & fake "vaccine" agenda was rolled out, one of the first things that the criminals in most County governments did was to eliminate the County fairs and close all of the important public parks and facilities. There is a repeating theme here... Our founding 'Fathers' (Anything which gives rise to something else) put everything they had on the line to try and create a more just form of governance. There is a book: "Our Sacred Honor" by William J. Bennett (who also edited "The Book of Virtues") which tells a compelling story about not just our 'founding fathers' but also the 'women' in their lives which, of course, had a much bigger impact than the (his)-torians laid out for us. I was unfortunately born into the town of Forks, WA and the requisite schooling system that was designed to produce obedient workers, not independent thinkers... fortunately I had a Father who for whatever reason became engaged politically with the Young Republicans and The John Birch Society which were ridiculed by the mainstream as wacko, conspiracy theorist, right wingers. It seems as though not much impact was made by their activities but it apparently planted seeds in my psyche and through the years it became apparent what they were talking about. My Father believed in the 'Republicans' which unbeknownst to him were just as corrupt as the Dems and he would roll in his grave to know what the beings he supported politically were really up to. We have been 'played' for thousands of years against each other by beings who know how to manipulate us because they understand how we are 'wired'. Many of us have been 'rewarded' with income or influence or prestige or some combination of these so we would 'go along to get along' and not look at what was really going on...any of us could be in that position...fortunately I was not overly rewarded perhaps because of my unwillingness to be (consciously) manipulated and irreverent attitude towards 'authority'. The current situation is not new, but for maybe the first time (for a time) we can inform and perhaps inspire each other toward the higher goals and values which guided our ancestors (imperfect, as are we). The most comfortable of us do not want the boat to be rocked more than maybe a little. I have solo-sailed my (former) 1977-30' Newport 'yacht' from Puget Sound to Acapulco and Hawaii and then Alaska and return and the boat got rocked quite a bit if you get my drift. It taught me that, with preparation, nature is not to be feared nearly as much as human intrigue. With preparation, human intrigue doesn't have to be feared either but it is still a major obstacle to deal with. It is a 'reality' and a usual one, not a rare one. I have been complacent, apathetic, pathetic, ignorant (sometimes willfully) and unengaged...but now I have become uncomfortable enough as I am on the lower end of the reward system and things are becoming more difficult to manage 'as usual'. The problem is, county commissioners don’t go and play at the parks. It’s out of their comfort zone, which so many of the issues in the county are left to be forgotten. Blaming the public will only increase the speed at which your popularity diminishes !
Jeff, I’m concerned about your new position clouding your reporting that we have come to expect from you. Have you
been drinking the Kool aid? You are up to your elbows in snakes. Please tread lightly, just like cults, they slowly suck you in and your brain is eaten by an invisible logic seeking parasite. I’m worried. I listened to the God awful, way too long, commissioners meeting. I felt the vibe of a few that feel control is theirs. So, I really have grown fond of you and my concern is sincere. The acceptance of the commissioners, not you as in Jeff Tozzer. You are a town hero compared to county commissioners. We should at least feel they operate in our best interest. I just don’t feel warm and fuzzy about the decisions being made on our behalf. In fact I may need that bag located in the seat pocket in front of you on an airplane.

Our founding 'Fathers' (Anything which gives rise to something else) put everything they had on the line to try and create a more just form of governance. There is a book: "Our Sacred Honor" by William J. Bennett (who also edited "The Book of Virtues") which tells a compelling story about not just our 'founding fathers' but also the 'women' in their lives which, of course, had a much bigger impact than the (his)-torians laid out for us. I was unfortunately born into the town of Forks, WA and the requisite schooling system that was designed to produce obedient workers, not independent thinkers... fortunately I had a Father who for whatever reason became engaged politically with the Young Republicans and The John Birch Society which were ridiculed by the mainstream as wacko, conspiracy theorist, right wingers. It seems as though not much impact was made by their activities but it apparently planted seeds in my psyche and through the years it became apparent what they were talking about. My Father believed in the 'Republicans' which unbeknownst to him were just as corrupt as the Dems and he would roll in his grave to know what the beings he supported politically were really up to. We have been 'played' for thousands of years against each other by beings who know how to manipulate us because they understand how we are 'wired'. Many of us have been 'rewarded' with income or influence or prestige or some combination of these so we would 'go along to get along' and not look at what was really going on...any of us could be in that position...fortunately I was not overly rewarded perhaps because of my unwillingness to be (consciously) manipulated and irreverent attitude towards 'authority'. The current situation is not new, but for maybe the first time (for a time) we can inform and perhaps inspire each other toward the higher goals and values which guided our ancestors (imperfect, as are we). The most comfortable of us do not want the boat to be rocked more than maybe a little. I have solo-sailed my (former) 1977-30' Newport 'yacht' from Puget Sound to Acapulco and Hawaii and then Alaska and return and the boat got rocked quite a bit if you get my drift. It taught me that, with preparation, nature is not to be feared nearly as much as human intrigue. With preparation, human intrigue doesn't have to be feared either but it is still a major obstacle to deal with. It is a 'reality' and a usual one, not a rare one. I have been complacent, apathetic, pathetic, ignorant (sometimes willfully) and unengaged...but now I have become uncomfortable enough as I am on the lower end of the reward system and things are becoming more difficult to manage 'as usual'. I have, thanks in large part to Jeff and CCWD a place to engage in meaningful dialogue. We are exercising our 1A Rights, hopefully to not have to initiate 2A Rights. I don't really KNOW if our Constitutional Rights are God-Given but they seem/feel worth fighting for and at my age it's a hill worth dying on, if necessary. I am quite certain that 'due process' (as we have been led to believe in it) will not be enough to prevail against the evil playing out now.
I have tasted true (limited) Earthly freedoms and I would prefer to die on my feet, than
