Mike's followers if corrupted liars and his "likes" of their behavior is a very good reason to not vote for Mike. For me , I vote and support Jake for the chance to actually have representation in this county. Jake stands up for people in this area and Mike is caught in the strings of Globalist puppet masters.
Connect the dots. We have a County Commissioner who has been in office nearly four years and he has yet to address the decline in public safety for Port Angeles and Sequim. Now, just prior to elections we see a new effort to deflect attention from the lack of safety.
“Mike French says the public needs to take back their public spaces, and he’s planning a new criminal justice tax next year. Maybe more money will fix the problem?”
Today’s “No Kings” rallies arrive as Clallam County residents still can’t safely walk the Olympic Discovery Trail or shop at the Lincoln Street Safeway. Local women just put Jake Seegers on the hot seat about why the drug crisis keeps growing, and families keep leaving. Meanwhile, stickers deface property, a machete-wielding man appears on the trail, and a double-homicide suspect gets a competency evaluation. Clallam County Watchdog, October 17, 2026.
Over the last several months conversations have been ongoing in the Commission Meetings about safety in our communities. Accusations flow back and forth, but there is NO resolution to this problem. Now, days before election our county commissioner decides to offer a “New Criminal Justice Tax” to “take back their public spaces”. This appears to be a Day Late and a Dollar Short.
Unfortunately, prior actions, or lack there of, continue to make the problem worse. We have encampments of people breaking the law. There is open drug dealing, rampant drug usage, assaults and other violence at the encampments, and a handcuffed police force attempting to resolve this blight. Panhandlers are on our street corners. We have a County Commission that provided monies to build expensive, permanent housing for a select few drug addicts. All with no personal accountability or even restrictions on drug sales and usage. Harm Reduction is NOT reducing harm. The MAT Clinic is a cash cow with no evidence of any patient recovering. We have an inflow of criminals from other communities coming to Clallam County because of our laxity in enforcing the law. This attraction is compounded with free drug equipment, easy access to street drugs, encampments in our public spaces, and a revolving door at our courts. Criminals walk our streets.
And. The suggested solution is a “Criminal Justice Tax”. Why not just enforce existing laws? Maybe our commission been a contributor to these problems.
We voters are supposed to elect representatives that will make wise decisions and come up with solutions, not just enabling actions that compound lawlessness. Connect the dots.
I don’t give any credit or thought to anyone not smart enough to spell or use spellcheck. Someone needs to get back to basics; reading, writing and arithmetic. Maybe then they can figure out the numbers don’t work and learn how to spell “realitor.”
Seeking our community's common good is being treated as contemptuous by those who use vile hatred as their best political weapon.
I'm reminded of a Greek fable where the sun and the north wind were competing for outcomes.
There was a man wearing a coat, walking down a road.
The cold north wind bet the sun that it could blow that coat right off of him, but when it tried its best: the man heald his garment more tightly to stay warm.
The sun only needed to warm him up enough to simply shed his unnessary layer.
Last night's TV news -a segment on Everett merging their bus service with Community Transit. It may happen because our state legislature in Olympia gave taxation authority and decision making to local districts AND DOES NOT REQUIRE VOTE by the people affected - ARBITRARINESS AND CAPRICIOUSNESS SURELY WILL FOLLOW. Clallam County is ahead of the curve ball.
Asking for a friend. Have Ozias and Johnson come out to publicly support this person known as Mike French, incumbent? Have they defended his job accomplishments? Maybe it was in my voters pamphlet. I’ll need to see if the CCLWV has any written word on endorsements.
Kelly Johnson - you penned a beautiful letter! In the paragraph where you write "it is a tactic that trivializes a woman's participation in public discourses and avoids engaging" So true in American history: on women voting, women being allowed to have credit cards, women commenting on the the issue of transgenders being allowed in women's sports.
I have pinned the post on my Facebook page where this comment is. As per usual Jeff cut off part of my response and put his spin on the discourse. I guess I should write an article with the screenshots I have saved of Kelly’s responses to my comments with personal attacks. She is no victim. After my research and all the hidden trusts and Corporate LLC’s involved with Mr. Seeger’s and his family I certainly don’t trust his PDC to reveal everything. Your assertion he has nothing to do with the almost 50 acres at the Sekui airport because it is his dad’s trust is ridiculous.
Jealousy has taken over your mind Debra. You make Jeff’s point today in his article. You are a great example of what he is saying. Debra you point at realtor development which is moot to being a commisioner. You have no solutions on CCWD comments only whining about how Jake has more than you. Your side is destroying CC with busses, crime, fraud, and fiscal abuse. Then all you can write about is a Christian valued Jake that owns property and has solutions to the mess YOU have helped create.
The issue at this point is confusion and insanity has descended. When one no longer know the difference between up and down and right and left, what causes one to awaken?

Good morning Jeff and Doggers,

That is the the big issue.
Thank you all and have a good day!
